Jump Hey coach, at the end of school last year I hit my first dunk ever and over the summer I tried a whole bunch of exercises to get my bounce up so I would be dunking for basketball season this year, but nothing seemed to help and my vertical is the same as it was last year. I hope your jump program helps. (also love your channel have been watching you for about a year now keep it up)
It will help! You will have to stay consistent though. If you're in season (or if you ever feel tired or extra sore) do 2 workouts per week instead of 3. More workouts are not better than more rest. Rest and recovery from each workout is key before moving to the next workout. Enjoy and THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TPnpVFYj7Nk.html
If I do front squats + 2 plyos every leg day, how often should I switch the plyos up? And should we use the same sets and reps until we switch them up?
Increase the weight on your front Squats and you don't need to do Plyos everyday 3 - 4 times a week is plenty. Vary the parameters every 2 - 4 weeks (listen to your body) and one at a time e.g: increasing JUMPSQUATS from 3 sets of 8 to 4 sets of 8, OR 3 sets of 5 to 3 sets of 8 with the same rest period.
Hey Nathanael! I'm curious about joint angles. Is there any reason you should change your joint angle when you are jumping? Is there an optimal angle? 🤔
100% these isometrics can be very good at helping with knee pain. Like her said in the video though the beginning isometric holds like wall sits or without weights may be best to start!
So these will help with knee pain ONLY WHEN your knees are already strong. So the wall sits, lunge holds, etc etc should be done first. Then I would do slow squats with an eccentric focus (5 seconds down 3 seconds up). Then squats 5 seconds down and explode up. THEN once all of that feels good, you can use these isometrics in this video for knee pain and vert. If your knees are good though then yes these will be fine and help.
Nathaniel I decided to do vert code bodyweight first cuz in may I got injured and only touched a basketball or jumped at all 4 times from may to September 12th when I was cleared. Should I start at vert code bodyweight before moving to vert code elite.
5’11, 120lbs, small and not very strong, Basically would front squats + 2 plyos or front squats + a QUAD STRENGTH EXERCISE WITH WEIGHTS be enough for me to get stronger? Like would either of those be enough for every leg day and which one would u have me do for better results?
Bro, obviously when using ur squat program I can’t go up in 1 second but every time I squat I explode up and try getting up as fast as possible, will that still transfer to my vert and help me jump higher?
I just got very code elite from Paul febrtiz but is it safe to also do kneesovertoes exercises because I been doing atg but I would like to do both. Can I Nathaniel? The 3 coaches I follow are u pjf and kneesovertoes.
Yes you can do both BUT I would do PJF's warm up, then his plyos, and then when he has his strengthening exercises you also want to add Kneeovertoesguy's exercises at that point. So warm up, plyos, strength + strength, then breathing and the rest. Don't split them up into two workouts. That would just break down your tendons twice and interrupt recovery. But yup it can be done.
Hey nathaneal I wanted to dunk at the start of this year I couldn’t even touch rim and 2 weeks ago I grabbed rim in full school uniform tie, belt, long pants and all lol from most of your vids
Noti Squad. I have a question, i am from india. Here the climate is very hot and humid. So can i take creatine while training outside and at the same time also stay hydrated.
