I re watch 90% of Angie’s videos just like I am this video I find Angie so easy to watch and tbh her voice is soothing to me I relax when I watch so if I’m having a bad day or really anxious, I put her videos on auto play and watch literally for hrs I suffer from chronic pain and just listening to her voice somehow helps me calm down and relax.

actually, the pronunciation of dulce would depend on the accent, in spain we would pronounce it different but right now I can't come up with any comparison for that sound ^^' Both would be okay though :)

You mean dull-say right? because the spelling makes it seem like it would be pronounced how you wrote it as one syllable; like pulse with a "d".

i almost never comment on videos but i just wanted to let you know that seeing all your beautiful colourful looks made me wanna come out of my comfort zone. i just bought some blue and bright purple eyeshadow from inglot during the sale and wore the blues yesterday. and i really loved it! i still love my neutrals but I’m loving the bright colours as well now :)

Sonia Pilarska exactly! its still a step though :) i could not dare to go full colourful yet. i still use my neutral transition shades.. but instead of a champagne lid i can go for a blue or purple :) believe in yourself! of course you can do it. just practice more and there you go! we can rock these colourful looks too girl :3

That's really sweet and supportive of you! My mom sent me to spanish school as a kid and I was always scared to say anything in Spanish around my Colombian/Venezuelan friends because they made fun of me lol

@@victoriabyers5161 Aw, don't be scared of speaking Spanish! Practice is key. Also, as a Venezuelan, I can tell you we laugh at everything anyways, even our own problems (which are a lot LOL), we have a really dry and dark sense of humor that can be offputting for some people, but 90% of the time we don't mean what we say. And we honestly love when people try to learn!!

Same😊 none of the colors appeal to me whatsoever. Maybe like 2-3 shades overall from both palettes but considering its $60 a pop each it’s not worth it for 2 shades. I’m also not paying $60-$120 for a stunning and beautiful cardboard skull. I think the celebration of Mexican culture is quite beautiful as well. So I will admire from afar too:)

i own tons of melt palettes never had any issues setting the primer and a transition helps a lot for dark shades be it colorful or matte

Shouldn't these eyeshadows perform better given their price point? You are very experienced with colorful eyeshadows and I have never seen you struggle with blending...

i own many melt palettes they blend beautifully and are pigmented as heck but when a shade is very dark it can be hard to blend without a transition shade whether its colorful or neutral so for example an easier time blending a very dark colorful shade is made easier with a lighter transition be it a lighter color or lighter neutral

@@sharnahorn8642 I just think they changed the formula after the issues they had with the gemini, 27, and smoke sessions palettes. They look different in the pan and are set much lower in the pans than previous palettes. I broke one of the shades in my gemini and repressed it and couldn't even fit it all back in the pan. These looks like you're getting a lot less product and the quality looks like shit.

@@godzandheros maybe I know they had issues with stuff breaking cause they were soft. I bought my Gemini and smoke sessions around june this year and had zero of the breaking puffy issues.

a tip: "baked" pencil is beautiful on the lips too! I also own several melt eyeshadows (from stacks) and I would never use the mattes without having my primer thoroughly set. leaving it sticky just makes them look patchy and hard to blend and has no benefit with these in my opinion.

Love how you correctly pronounce names in other languages. Learning is a process and not been afraid of trying is a success in my book! Never mind that you pronounce lots of names better than I could (or most of us) be able to! Kudos to you!!

Gorgeous looks Angi! I would love to see a look with both palettes, especially those dark blues in the Muerte palette with the yummy greens in the Vida palette. I love that grass green shimmer, but why did they press it so hard? Christine from Temptalia also rated that color super low because of how hard pressed and difficult to work with it is. Weird that it’s not seeming to be like the other shimmers they have in these palettes. Have a great day!! 💚🧡💚🧡

Taylor Burich I think maybe because they had problems with their original shimmer formula shattering everywhere or growing mould. I don’t know if I want to buy these and risk that. If Angie is struggling... I know I certainly will!

The concept of this palette is really perfection, and I was really hoping the formula would match that perfection. I basically never wear color, but I was going to pick this up anyway because it is so beautiful. If it is hard to work with, I think I am going to pass. **Sigh**

I’m glad you mentioned that the very pigmented mattes are not as easy to blend. I’ve been eyeing this release, but I have the same problem with the Impulse palette I own. Only the yellow in that palette works as a transition shade on me, and I have a light to medium skin tone. I tend to think of Juvia’s Place as eyeshadow made for darker skin tones, but if I’m honest I’ve used shades from my Juvia’s palettes to blend out my Melt shadows. They are pigmented enough to hold their own in a look with the Melt shadows, but not so pigmented and creamy that they don’t look good blended as a transition shade. I’m 30 and also have eyelids that don’t look 20 anymore. I appreciate your comments on this issue, so I know this isn’t an only me problem. If you ever find certain shadows/primers/brushes/techniques, etc. that help your eyeshadow looks on “aged eyelids,” (ew, lets just call them “wise eyelids,” or something else more flattering) I would love a video about it.

I love your videos Angie! I am from Honduras and speak spanish. I like it when you try🥰 Mexicana is obvs mexican lol, alegría is happiness, pan dulce is sweet bread, sol is sun, atole iss... a great drink😌, chocolate we know, agua ardiente is like an alcoholic drinkk, amor eterno is everlasting/forever love, papel picado is a type of paper used for decoration, and sarape is a kind of traditional colored fabric people use in mexico. Sorry if I messed anything up❤️❤️

Second comment, the green yellow look, wow wow so gorgeous and very inspiring. The melt la vida palette - reminds me of spring/summer. While la muerte palette reminds me of fall/winter. The color stories match the names soo well looks you showed yesterday and today match the color stories I thought of when I saw the palette! They are gorgeous, very inspiring! I love the look of the vida pallet but I know I wouldn't use the orangey reds.. the greens and yellows have a grip on my soul, almost as badly as the muerte pallet. I love that they added cool toned browns instead of warm tones because you can mix the greens and browns without it getting too muddy and warm them up with the oranges..

I would love some dupe options for some of the more fun shades in both palettes if possible, I love both but sadly out of my budget so I'd be happy with some dupes for now ,thank you for showing us what to do with the colors, I always feel lost when trying to create colorful looks lol :)

Loved this too!!🤩, not gonna lie, concerned about their palette formulas. The red end of the palette made my heart flutter a bit😁 maybe I'll look into some stacks🤗 I think Mel Thompson didn't buy these because she said she wanted to watch reviews first after the trouble she had with the first palette releases from them and she Loves the stacks from melt. I learn as much from you as I do from Mel. I do not consider you an amateur at all! I consider you a pro. I'm not sure that anyone knows as much about formulas as you or blending techniques. You may not, for times sake always choose to blend to "perfection" but you have made it more than clear that you blend until it's good enough for you🤩😍🤩❤❤❤ I may look into some melt stacks for black friday😁

I bought both of these palettes too. I believe I got them the same time as you (I’m in Scotland) and I just went with normal shipping. With the Muerte palette I’ve used it with the Creepy Cute for transition shades as per your recommendation and it works great. I find it still takes a little more blending than usual, so I won’t be wearing it to work (who has time for excessive blending before work?) but it’s still reasonable with the lighter colours. The green in the second look is absolutely stunning. I feel like it’s a very summery colour/ palette. I love that you included your fail moment in this... you’re human after all! 😂

Angie, if you have a moment, and an idea, can you please suggest a good dupe for the green shimmer? It’s pretty much the only shade that is making it hard for me to pass this palette up! (to be clear, I like all the shades in the palette, but am satisfied with other shadows I have that are close to those colors.). Many thanks! 💚

It's very close to the bright green shade in the Magic palette by Juvias aswell :)

That second look is so pretty!! I really want to try and recreate it with something I already have.. I don't think I can justify purchasing these palettes because I already have most if not all of the colors.. Can you think of any dupes for those greens though? Thanks for making videos like this! I love how instructive you are. Even though you say you're an amateur, we learn a lot from you ;)

Allegria in both Spanish and Italian means happiness, joy. Thanks for mentioning about things not blending super easily, I'm lazy so I want things to perform really well. For that price I'd rather get a Natasha Denona palette or other shadows that perform better. Pretty color story, but I wouldn't get much usage out of it at the moment anyways.

Seconding this. I've been budgeting this into my black friday since I heard about them, but if YOU're having trouble with it, my newbie self is likely to throw it across the room in frustration, and it's too expensive for that. The packaging's so pretty that I covet them, but they're still palettes and if I can't use what's inside, the packaging will be just as pretty in pictures. Keep us updated on your experiments? :)
