She contradicts herself a lot in this interview...it’s almost like she’s making statements that she believes will resonate with him, but when he’s like “ehhhh” she backs down. A very interesting conversation nonetheless.

Rock n roll was considered to be the most vile and sexual form of music when it first became popular amongst younger generations. "Sex Dugs and rock n roll" is not a famous saying for nothing. You will find alot of explicitely sexual Rock music even from the 50's, and i sure hope you understand its origins and dont think its some white boys that came up with it. Theres a lot of music i dont personally like but what is popular is pop for a reason, it doesnt mean nothing else exists. And for that reason there is space for all sorts.

Luka reminds me of that one person in the friend group that is a music snob and always plays his music even though not many seem to enjoy it. I think she was just matching Luka's energy. I thought the interview could've better but she's just starting and figuring it out. I did love the Dev podcast though because it felt more balanced in terms of lighter energy and being more conversational and less of an interview. That may just be because she knows Dev more than Luka so it's kinda tough to say. I think it's unfair to paint her out as being basic or dumb. oh! but I definitely disagree with her stance of music haha a very outdated and superficial perspective but that seems like it's cause she's more exposed to party rap and doesnt really seek out other forms so she really shouldnt have such a strong stance on it

overall, a really good show. like this isn’t a troll comment or whatever but I do genuinely believe you need to learn more about music, study each and every set genre before completely disregarding it. rap hip hop, has a conceptualized meaning if you were seeking to find it, we have Nas, B.I.G, Joey Badass, Kendrick Lamar & many more, there is a fine line between Hip Hop Rap and Trap, one is to sell records, one is to story tell. but other than that, your thoughts in general are beautiful, love the way you view life, and your lens and vibe in general, just please don’t disrespect a genre with no knowledge on it? I genuinely wish I could put you on with music, real music, real art, create you playlists so you can understand the depth.. but anyways have a good day :) amazing video!

Musically it feels like genres outside of hip hop try to say things in more of a metaphorical way even when their all pretty much saying the same or very similar things (and you do have hip hop artist that do that as well) but I think people’s biggest issue with hip hop is how upfront it is like “we’re gonna say exactly what we mean and put a beat behind it “ and a lot of ppl don’t live life that unapologetically and that’s a reason why some folks like it because they want to be able to live like that while others actually do have to live like it.....but ultimately there will always be outliers in every situation

Don't get me wrong - interesting topics and interesting guest! I am not familiar with either the guest nor the interviewer (other than Davids Perfume) so I have no bias. But your responses and "points" were kind of cringy. I think you can improve on supporting your ideas by taking a stance and providing more details. Without that, it's very superficial and comes across as somewhat ignorant... I am sure that deep down, you really aren't. I mean well by saying this and look forward to your future interviews!

Her follow-up questions are not basic, they are just trying to pick his brain on why Luka is different from the more "basic" opinions out there and also her follow up questions sets a contrast to that and challenges Luka also to see things in a more common way and why most people see things the way they do. Good job Char, I think it was an interesting take on things from your perspective:)
