Chartpak graphics tape (art supply store) also works well for the metal banding. Comes in pre-cut widths, so you just need to trim to length. More expensive, a little easier... there's always a trade-off in this hobby!!! Great video Roger.
1/32 chart tape works very well for binding loads down. I've tried to cut electrical tape down that small. Had a super hard time doing so. 1/32 chart tape does the job quite well. Amazon has it in stock.
@@modelrailroadbackshopwithr5967 Very cool!! Is Jim still around I haven't heard anything about for a while, I used to follow him in Model Railroader!!
@@modelrailroadbackshopwithr5967 I hope he's enjoying a well earned retirement!! Thank you for your time, I love your video's and I'm gleaning as much as I can from them!! I'm starting a Conrail layout in a 15×17 basement room, I have been collecting code 83 track and I have about 50 engines and about 350 cars. My only problem is time, I'm a Trucker so I only have a few days off a month so it's definitely a slog!!!
Thanks for watching. I buy the strip from Plastruct and don’t have to cut them. They come in different material and colors. 1, 1/4 is the one i use. www.plastruct.com/collections/strip-amp-rod-2/products/90361-stsc-1
