I'm so happy that Americans finally start to talk in units that the rest of the world uses. Is it an age thing? How old are you? Is it rude to ask?

Lol! I’m 25, so I don’t think it’s an age thing. I’m a scientist and currently a medical student, so the metric system is what I use all the time. Most Americans do not so I end up having to do these conversions in my head to “translate” for them

Hi. I'm considering transitioning sometime this year as well, but I have a question about the diuretic you mentioned in the past video, I think. spironolactone? How long do you have to take it? is it part of full term HRT treatment or do you stop taking it after a while? I'm not looking forward to the idea of having to pee at all hours of the night for the rest of my life, lol. I still have to consult with dr's so I'm gonna ask them as well, of course. Thanks for your videos. Very happy for you and your decision to live your authentic self, it's very inspiring ♥

Hi! Thank you so much for writing! Spironolactone is a testosterone blocking drug and it is also a diuretic. It has to be taken for as long as one wants to block testosterone production in their body. One solution for this is an orchiectomy, removal of the testes. After this procedure you would no longer have to take spironolactone. With that said, your body does adjust to it and you can always work with your doctor to find the best dosage for you. There are even other testosterone blocking drugs that can be used! For me, I’ve kept my dose of spironolactone constant since the start and I am no longer having to urinate as often. In fact, I’d say I’m basically back to the normal amount I would use the bathroom prior to beginning HRT. Best of luck and keep me updated on your journey please!

@@jordansguitarlessons Omg thank you so much for replying so quickly. That's actually a very helpful and informative thing to know. Again, I haven't consulted with my endo yet so I have so many questions. This makes me feel a lot better, thanks again gorgeous! ♥♥♥♥

Jordan why you don't take de ciproterone ?
@jordansguitarlessons

That’s a great question and one which I don’t have an answer to. Spironolactone is used to achieve the same effects as cyproterone, but I would have to ask my doctor to be able to provide you with any reason as to why they chose to prescribe one over the other

I feel ya! As for the chest pain, it’ll subside eventually, but not until those new boobs are done growing! Best of luck on your transition!

Wonderful. I'm doing well also, 1.5 months. Bloodwork on the 6th. My experience is similar. I have little body hair, but what I do have seems to be slowing in growth. While working out, I have noted a little more difficulty in exercising my arms. My breast have slowed down their growth and taken on more definition; they look like boobs now. Slight fat loss from waist. Definite change in shape of buttocks and hips. I have gone through a period of extreme emotions. Estrogen seems not to amplify emotions but make them more concrete and immediate, and unignorable. It exacerbated my PTSD to the point that I had to be very self-aware about the potential for going off in public. But I believe I am beginning to get the PTSD under control, with help from my gender therapist and my fellow shaman. I want to tell you some things about my shamanic experiences but I will do that in private, when I have a moment. I am excited for you on your increasing estrogen dosage. Your hair is lovely. I'm not experiencing as much breast sensitivity as you are, no soreness. But they are extremely responsive to everything, even a light breeze, and my nipples will stand out so much that they attract attention, which is a little embarrassing. Sorry I missed the session you moderated Saturday. I do hope to see you at some of the pride gatherings. Very happy for you.
