When I tell you I’m in tears hearing your story and reading these comments. I have PCOS and have struggled with weight loss for years. I hit my rock bottom at 319lbs, I’m 5’1”, and a blood pressure at 186/90. Working in healthcare showed me what happens when a person strokes, has a heart attack, or living long term with diabetes. I’ve been on Ozempic for three weeks and lost 7lbs, but most importantly it’s helping me be mindful of portion sizes of the RIGHT foods. I’m crying because I finally see some light after being in the darkness for so long. Best of luck to you and everyone on their weight loss journey.
@@MexyQueen03 congratulations!!! More to come .. i am still doing my research . I didb intermittent fasting for over six months . i easily went up to 20+ hours of fasting. I didn't care to eat which effected my blood sugar levels So i worry that this would happen here. Didn't lose a pound ! Later a dietician told me that women with PCOS and Insulin resistance shouldn't fast more than 15 hours 🤷🏼♀️
Update: i’m three years into my weight loss journey, almost 2 years on Ozempic. I’ve lost 193 pounds. Yes that is typed out correctly, I’ve reversed my diabetes, corrected my thyroid, and I have resolved my liver problems, I feel a lot better 🤍 I take Ozempic every Friday now as a maintenance medication and it works wonders.
Congratulations! How did you get over the nausea and other symptoms. I can’t function or sleep on Ozempic because I’m in so much pain or in the bathroom 😪😥🙏🏼
Wow Congratulations, I’ve been on it a month now I’ve only lost 4 pounds I’m so discouraged. Not sure why I’m not losing more as I only eat like a bird
The way my Dr. explained it to me is raising the dosage doesn't mean more weight loss. He said ask yourself these three questions: "Am I losing weight? Does it curb my appetite? Does it curb my cravings?" He said if all of those answers are yes, then you're at your "sweet spot" and stay at that dosage until you can't say yes to those questions anymore. He said you may be on the first dosage for 6 months, as long as it's doing those three things, it's fine! He stated the only thing raising the dosage will do is increase the symptoms, not increase your weight loss. So find your sweet spot, and don't raise the dose or you will get sick.
@@garagebandkings just took my second week dose of 0.25 - not really noticing anything, slightly decreased appetite but not what I expected….perhaps I’ll go 0.5 next week…
@@perrogrande give it some time and your body will start to adjust. You will for sure hit a plateau but don’t get too discouraged. I was plateaued for a week and finally got over the hump today. Day 34 and 47lbs down!
Wow okkk! So this really works?! I have tied some of everything and wasn’t able to finish the vsg process due to insurance issues. Are there any negative side effects
@@iGottaLitSpirit Yes there are some downs alot of people have diarrhea or constipation I have the constipation and it will give some people indigestion which is what we call the stinky burp but other than that you will lose tons of weight and your a1c will be well controlled I hope this helps❤
I loved coming across this video as a pharmacist who is passionate about helping people manage their diabetes! Most likely reason the 0.25 dose didn’t do anything is because it is actually a non therapeutic dose meaning not effective for glycemic control and only there so patients’ bodies can get used to it and mitigate side effects when increasing to the therapeutic dose. Just know that when you eventually get to the therapeutic dose, the GI side effects of nausea etc. Are self limiting! Meaning that they DO go away as you keep taking it and won’t be forever. Also- semaglutide is the generic name for Ozempic, and there is actually an oral version now of semaglutide called Rybelsus which is HUGE because it is the first oral GLP-1 agonist! For those who cannot afford ozempic, try calling your insurance company to see which GLP-1 agonist they may prefer. My favorite is Trulicity because it is a once weekly injection that you don’t have to attach pen needles to, and is SO easy to inject with. If you ever have any questions please ask!! :)
Amanda THANK YOU❣️❣️❣️❣️ Apart from my appetite decreasing and food no longer having any tastes, I was worried that it was not working but I’ll await results when I increase my dose❣️
Thank you for this information especially for telling us about pushing thru the higher dose with the side effects! I will keep it in mind when I start this month then increase the following month....... I pray it's the expected side effects and not the worrisome kind!!!
I have been on Ozempic 15 months. As of today, I have lost 111 pounds. My A1C is 5.5. I am no longer taking Jardiance or Metformin. Still on 1 mg once weekly dose. Medical association has just approved a 2 mg dose. My life has changed in so many ways. The other day while shopping, a guy came up and asked me on a date :) I am 58 and finally after years I am under 200 pounds
It's always my hope that it stays that way. I try my best to create a safe space for people with diabetes, and always hope that everyone stays encouraging and respectful.

I am sharing my husbands account but I am 50 , menopausal, have pcos and have fought my weight since i was 21. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and after 3 months my GP started me on Ozempic. I am on my 5th day and i am in heaven. I am almost never hungry and no longer obsessed with food. I can easily eat healthy because my cravings are gone. This is life changing for me. Thank goodness insurance covers it.
@@throwacnt7603 I am on .5 of ozempic but I actually want to go up to 1.0 but got to get approval from my doc. I have had a really hard time getting the last 20 lbs off. I've been 160 for about a month.
@@KrymsynTree Thank you so much for your response. So you feel like the .5mg you are at isn't cutting it? Still you've done great progress and 160lbs isn't too bad but I hope you can achieve your 140 goal!
@@throwacnt7603 I still have cravings that are hard to overcome at .5. Reports show that ozempic works best as an appetite suppressant when the doesage is at 2.5mg but that doesage has not yet been approved by the FDA. So 1.0 would be the highest I could go for my insurance to cover it. Ozempic was not the only med I was on for this journey. My doc has me on farxiga and metformin along with the ozempic and it has been a dream until I hit 160.
@@KrymsynTree Oh thank you so much for the information. Technically I could go and buy the 2.5mg dosage over here (if I had the cash) but the fact that .5 was so effective for you gives me hope. Of course I am sure the farxiga also helped but still I would imagine Ozempic is probably the main driver in all of that.
I know this video already has 1,000 comments, but I have to add mine. Thank you so so much for this video and your others discussing injections. I set the mood. Hot shower, relaxing music. And panic froze. I must have watched this 15 times and read dozens of comments. I was so worked up. Finally did it... didn't feel a thing. Literally nothing😅 so for anyone reading this. You got it!
My doc started me on Ozempic at the end of Nov 23' I am a type 2 diabetic, my a1c went from 7.6 to 6.9 by Jan 5 24' my weight loss is just a bonus, from 214 to 190 in 2 1/2 months, I take .05, no plans of increasing the dosage because I already take a low dosage of Jardiance, I purposely didn't exercise for the last 2 months to see what would happen! Now I'm back on my routine starting Monday weight loss goal is 180 or less 10 lbs to go!
I was so looking forward to getting on Ozempic. My doctor told me that I have to take it very seriously if I wanted to lose weight. Eating right and exercise, she said. So I prepared. I went grocery shopping and purchased all the healthy stuff. When I started at 0.5 I had to force myself to eat and I couldnt finish the small portion I would serve myself. My asthma is totally under control and so is my blood pressure. Pain that I felt in my legs, due to poor blood circulation, gone on day 2. I have been on Ozempic for 13 days and I have lost 13 lbs.
WOW that's incredible? How is it going for you now after a month? Are you still happy with it, and how's your energy? I'm debating buying it to use (I have very high bmi but don't have diabetes so unfortunately I can't get it through my doctor in the UK, so since I have to spend money on it, I'm very cautious)
I just had my first dose five minutes ago! I was recently diagnosed with type II, and I'm over weight, so my hopes are high that I can turn things around! Thank you for your story!
@@2blessed2bestressed5 Hi there. I just started Ozempic less than a month ago. Just to reassure you, no worries, it's absolutely painLESS! I promise. You just have to remember to change the injection site around. I kind of rotate around my belly button by several inches. You can inject in your arm, inner thighs, or stomach. I prefer my stomach because there's lots of fat...lol! In all honesty, I barely feel anything. The first time of anything is the scariest. But, you got this! You can do it and it's really no big deal! God bless you always! 😊❤
6 weeks ago I started my journey on Ozempic, I was in a very dangerous weight slightly over 425 lb, I never felt so uncomfortable, so I turned to my doctor and she recommended Ozempic, I'm borderline type 2 diabetic, when I first started taking Ozempic, I was a little nauseated but, not too bad, I'm never hungry anymore, in the morning I eat something light and one more meal late afternoon or early evening, that's it, I do eat healthy, my blood sugar is controlled and the weight is falling off me. It's been 6 weeks and I'm at 396, 30 lb without even trying, and one another thing I've noticed my alcohol contents is basically zero, that by itself is saving me lots of calories. So for you drinkers out there Ozempic not only controls your blood sugar, but also controls your hunger and drinking disorder. God bless everyone, God is good
Just did my second doses this past Friday, I’m so nauseous right now. I have type 2 ( just diagnosed this month). Thank you for sharing your story, I’m enjoying reading these comments too. They are giving me so much hope. I’m 6”0 and weight 437 lbs. Trying to get down to 200 lbs in a healthy way. I have PCOS, Fibriods, and endometriosis. So depression from pain has been really hard on me. Thank you everyone in here for giving me hope.

@@missbeaussie thank you for asking, I’m actually doing well. Might start posting about my journey. Nausea sucks and I think I hate sugary stuff now 😅. Down 4 pounds last time I weighed this last March after the first month.
All I can say is that you are an inspiration... today is my first day on Ozempic and I have to say I was a bit scared. I don't like putting anything in my body that I don't know anything about. You have calmed my fears. This little journey will be a bit less unpleasant knowing there are others out there walking the same path. Thank you
Many of us are walking this path. I just took my 3rd week shot Friday. When I started I was 157 lbs and only 5 ft. When I was weighed at Drs couldn't believe I was under 150 for the first time in years. I weighed in at 147... 10 lbs in under 3 weeks or so is awesome. I had a horrible time loosing weight since my early 40's. I'm 51 now .
I just started Ozempic and I am having the same response as you. I went from always hungry to fine not hungry at all. Blood sugar numbers are better than they have ever been. To hear you makes me so excited!
I just started saxenda last month and I am excited to see how it works. I am 5'3 & was 288 ponds last year and lost 50 pounds on orlistat, then I gained 20 pounds back. I gained over 120 ponds after getting out the army in 2017 due to ptsd and anxiety. I was never a big girl and was always active but the depression and suicide attempts just didn't help. I weighed myself this morning and I'm at 241.2, and plan to get back in the gym to take care of the loose skin. You and every person in the comments are amazing!
I just started this week with my first injection of .25. I'm 5'6, 158lbs, but my goal is 140lbs. The nurse also started me with a B12 shot, she gave me a list of foods to avoid, to drink 64oz of water everyday and to strength train for 30 mins 3x a week. She did warn I would be nausous around week 2. Another nurse in the office was on Ozempic for 3 months and lost 40lbs. I'm super excited for this journey. I know people will read this and say I'm not that big, but I'm use to being 140lbs and I don't feel comfortable at my new weight.
@@aishasumler7246 hey what foods do you need to eat and not to eat? Im thinking if i dont eat much it’ll cause the nausea but doesn’t that mean the drug is working?

I've been taking ozempic since October. I went from 220 to 190. I have been plenty sick, a few times. Constipation/diarrhea is also a side affect. I'm doing .75 every week now. My number have improved so much. I was prediabetic and now my sugars are under control. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I cannot tell you how excited I was to find your video in my feed. I have been on the shots for six weeks. Completely changed my life. I have tried absolutely everything there is. Now I eat less then a third of what I did before. I feel amazing. I am full so much faster and in control. I wish this was discovered decades ago. Congratulations on your weight loss
Thank you for sharing. I was ready to quit 30 minutes ago because of the nausea and diarrhea. Your video has given me the strength to continue on my weight loss journey.
Hey Carlton, theses u tube videos are a Godsend, knowing everyone else gets sickness n diarrhea, means we are not alone, it's hard getting through the bad days, but balancing h1c1 and getting diabetes (I've type 2) better controlled, also losing some weight is a great plus, good luck.

I was on RYBELSUS for 6 months with great results (12 A1C down to a 4.9 A1C) but I lost my insurance help so the price went back to $1000 a month. My doctor switched me to OZEMPIC .5mg and with my insurance and coupons it's $75 a month. I start it this coming Sunday when I run out of my RYBELSUS. I glad to hear of your success, I hope my results are similar to yours. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this! I have PCOS and I totally hear you about how hard it is to lose weight. I severely restricted my daily calories for almost 2 years, exercised too and still couldn’t get under 200 lbs. Planning to talk to my doctor about ozempic- I’d much rather try it than bariatric surgery.
Me too. I’m so relieved to hear that it’s not just me. So many just say it’s calories in and exercise out and you lose.... but not so for everyone or at least with PCOS
I was mentioned about it from my primary care and my former nutritionist. But since I switched to another nutritionist, even she brought it up. So I am actually going to look into it and see how it works and go from there. I also have PCOS and I did lose weight, a lot of weight on the phentermine and bupropion. But I just don’t think it was good enough for me. So me going this rail actually could work out in the end for me. So thank you so much.
I'm a diabetic and I've been on ozempic for 3 weeks .25 dose, and I'm down 18 lbs. So it definitely works for me. It gave me bad nausea and vomiting. Also food aversions were bad. I couldn't smell certain food without wanting to vomit. I was ready to give up until i saw the scale 😂 So keep going guys
I’m going to start my Ozempic journey starting tomorrow. I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and I’ve tried almost everything to lose weight. I used Trulicity before and that injector hurts way more than this. I also thought I must not have done something right the first time because there was no pain.

Hi@@weezie8237 unfortunately I can't give any tips. My appetite just decreased in addition to initial nausea and vomiting. I'm so glad I have come across your channel. I am starting Ozempic this week. I have PCOS and it has wreaked havoc on my blood pressure and blood sugar.
So far I've lost 56 lbs thanks to Ozempic. Had HORRIBLE nausea when I started on 0.25 this lasted 3 weeks then went away, I went up to 0.50 and the nausea returned this time WITH actual vomiting had a HORRIBLE first 3 weeks on 0.50 so stayed on that dose for an extra month. By the end of the 2months on 0.50 the nausea was manageable and I'd stopped vomiting ( thank the lord!!)and my Endocrinologist asked me if I wanted to try going up to the 1.00. I gave it a go and oh my god it was HORRIFIC! I couldn't keep water down and I was still retching but there was nothing there to throw up. I stuck with it for 4 weeks to see if it would improve (like it had on the lower doses) but nothing changed so I went back down to the 0.50 dose and I'm absolutely fine on it AND I'm still loosing weight, yaaay!! The funny thing I found whilst being on Ozempic is that previously I had a really really sweet tooth and would crave sugary foods and sweets constantly. After the first 2 1/2 months on Ozempic my sweet tooth completely went away, to the point I have LOADS of chocolate bars, candy etc in the cupboard that have sat there for months completely untouched!! Ozempic has completely transformed my life!! xx
Congrats on the weight loss but I'm confused as to why your doctor didn't have you "micro dosing" meaning going up to starting doses in incremental clicks on the pen! Im only on it for weight loss not diabetes but im really sensitive to medications so I started out with 10 clicks. 18 clicks is equal to .25mg gradually I've increased it every week and no side effects!

I have been struggling on metformin and glyburide for 17 years.I lost my job as a truck driver in January because my A1c was over guidelines at 9.8.I immediately began walking 5 miles a day,90 days later my A1c was 8.9.Still over the maximum allowable 8.0 as allowed by NY DOT regulation,I just had my next 90 day A1c which was 8.2.Six months out of work, walking 5 miles every day,no disability,no unemployment, just pure frustration! I have my appointment with my endrocronoligist on this coming Tuesday,She has been keeping me on the pills.I want to tell her enough! I need change.Bless you all.
I'm on Ozempic and my dose was just increased to 1mg and every single time my dose is increased, I go through the side effects. But the side effects usually only last 1 to 2 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I am miserable during that time but the benefits outweigh the bad, so I deal with it. Just wanted you to know that there is an end to those crappy side effects. So right now I'm feeling horrible and exhausted but I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for the video, it is very helpful!
We have a similar story. I’m also a type two diabetic, and it got worse when I was pregnant. I am about five months postpartum. I started with .5 mg ozempic a month ago and just switched to 1 mg. During the month on .5 mg I would say I lost about 7-8 pounds. No side effects. but this past week I went up to 1 mg and I think I lost 2 pounds already and it hasn’t been a full week. The second day on 1mg- I felt nauseas and wanted to eat more but I felt too full! I try to walk three times a week for about half an hour. And I would argue it’s not the weight I’m losing, I also just see I am losing inches and my fasting sugars are at prediabetic or non diabetic levels. Trying to be healthy for my daughter, my partner, my students, and obviously, myself. You look great and I feel you understand the struggle of weight loss and managing sugars at such a young age. I don’t feel so alone in this struggle anymore. I appreciate you.
I am a Pharmacist and I started using ozempic this July 2022 with an A1c of 6.0. I am prediabetic , never been diabetic. After experiencing menopause at 42 years, I started gaining so much weight within a short period. The weight gain made my chronic back pain and joint pain worse. I talked to my PCP after learning about Ozempic during a continuous education program organized for clinicians. When I started ozempic, I weighed 178 lbs this July . Today is November 26 2022 and I now weigh 164 lbs. My A1c moved from 6.0 to 5.6 after 3 months, during my last PCP appointment. it really works . I am feeling really good about myself and less back pain but it definitely has some side affects. When I started injecting 0.25 mg, I vomited initially a few times after meals but was determined to continue. After one month, I increased to 0.5 mg. I was doing well with the 0.5 mg with slight nausea especially when my stomach is empty. I am currently on 1 mg every 10 days. I am suppose to be taking 1 mg every week but the nausea and the funny taste it causes in my mouth was sometimes unbearable so it made me extend my frequency to every 10 days. Ozempic also makes my acid reflux worse. But I will say the benefits outweighs the side effects. Being overweight is a disease on its own. If your insurance will pay for it, I will recommend everyone to try it and be patient, especially if you have diabetes. You will eventually overcome the nausea.
I took Ozempic and that nausea scared me and so I just got off it immediately. I'm on another medicine that gives me the same thing that you're talking about, but I'm happy that you put this video up. Diabetes is a bear and it is all about getting that A1C down for me. I wish you the best of luck, and I'll follow you on your journey! You're motivating! Keep going!
I’m so glad there’s a video on this! I’ve googled testimonials but it’s nice watching and hearing a personal experience on this medication. I’m week 3 on Ozempic ☺️
I'm so glad it's helpful. I did the same thing when I started taking it, but couldn't find many patients talking about their experience directly. Just doctors explaining it.
Took my first dose of Ozempic (1 mg) this morning. Ten hours later and still no side effects (no nausea/vomiting). My A1C was 13, so is why my doc started me on this high dose. Of course, time will tell if I get any side effects. I weigh in at 217, so am looking forward to weight loss. Good job and best wishes to you.
I literally just took my first injection and needed to watch your video on how to inject it. I’m really praying that it works for me. Best wishes from your new subscriber from Ireland xxx
Thank you for leaving a comment all the way from Ireland! And I’m so glad this helped! Sometimes seeing someone else do it helps ease any discomfort. Best of luck taking it! I hope it works for you ❤️
Lady Maester I just took my 4th injection. I’m starting on the .50mg next week. I have had some bad days with my stomach but it’s definitely decreased my appetite and I’ve started to realise if I over eat that’s when the stomach pain and sulphur burps start. My husband and best friend have said that I have lost loads of weight off my face and I can feel my bra getting so much looser( thank god lol)
@@sarahbrady4526 Ozempic and duct tape for our mouths! We’d be new women 😂 Have you weighed at all Sarah? I weighed yesterday before my first injection. And I’ll try to restrict it to every week at injection time. But I don’t want to become scales obsessed. I think I’m just overexcited about it yet.
Just started today. I waisted one dose. My friend suggested to go to RU-vid and I found you. I am 197 lbs and 5'3 in height! Love watching your journey 💖❤️
OMG I have struggled with PCOS for the past 30 years of my life, since my late twenties! I went off the pill to get pregnant and all hell broke loose. When you said that you have to do something incredibly drastic to lose weight, yes, that is me. For me to lose weight I had to have the most strict diet possible and at least 2 hours of exercise per day. I would lose with much sacrifice, simply to gain again once I entered the 'maintaining' stage, because the losing stage is not sustainable. There is no maintaining stage with PCOS, only extreme stage. My doctor has suggested this, and asked me to research it. I am so glad to have found your site! Thank you so much.
Just took my first Ozempic injection today. Was a bit of a struggle aha I don’t love needles! I have PCOS too and have been on Metformin for pre-diabetes for a year. I’ve never been able to lose weight so after hearing how it’s helped you, I really hope it can do the same for me too.

The same thing happened with me when I went to .50 dose. My dr said to dial to .25 then count the clicks to the .50 dose. I believe it’s 16 clicks between the 2 doses I now dial to .25 and add 8 clicks. So that’s my dose now for 2 weeks Then I’ll add a few more clicks every few weeks until I get to .50 dose My dr said it’s fine to do this and it helps to get used to higher dose slowly Believe me the .50 dose made me so sick I truly believed I was dying lol
My first dose was yesterday, 0.25 had headaches, nausea and 24 hours post have just vomited and diarrhoea to the maximum. Will need to find something to settle the nausea and cross fingers it settles soon. Can cope with everything else, just not the sick!!! Good to read that it settles and look forward to the benefits. Thank you.
I am about to start ozempic in 2 weeks. I've done the research. I always thought that needle was the final straw. I was scared. I didn't want to follow in my mom's footsteps. I now know that through your videos, it's not the final straw, and I can do this. So, thank you for sharing your journey, and I look forward to sharing my story with you after 2 months 🙂
This video is so wonderful and I appreciate you sharing your story, which is helping so many others. I wish I had seen this earlier. I was pre-diabetic and my doctor suggested doing a 6-week trial of Ozempic. Starting at the 0.25 dosage, I immediately felt super full all the time. By the 3rd week, I had lost 10 pounds (Yes, TEN!), but I didn't like the way it was making me feel. Like I was on the verge of throwing up all the time. Week 5 & 6, I increased the dosage to 0.50 and that's when the super nausea began. I knew I couldn't continue. All total, it helped with my numbers, and I did lose 14 lbs all total, but feeling nauseous all the time is not something I can handle. *Much love and blessings to you for sharing your wisdom with us!!!* 🤗🥰🤗
I’m so glad I found your channel because you have really helped me with your experience with Ozempic. I have been so sick and trying to get through this.
Thank you for this. I just got my pen this week. I haven't started yet. I'm T2 and the biggest baby when it comes to needles. It took me over a month to just pick my finger to test. Thank you for being real.
Aweee thank you for watching! And don’t be scared about the injection! It’s a tinnnnnny, super fine needle. Maybe a lil pinch but you’ll forget about it as soon as you do it. And it’s only once weekly! You’ll do great.
@@TheHangryWoman thank you. I did my first dose this morning. Didn't hesitate and zero pain. Thanks for the reassurance. Your video has for sure help at least 1 person. Lower a1c here I come. 😁
Your video and all the comments here are motivating me. Thank you! I am starting Ozempic today after struggling with weight loss and 1ac. Let's hope I ll reach my goals!
I was just recommended by my endocrinologist to be placed on ozempic by my PCP and ran across your video with the injection and now this explanatory video and I am so grateful 🥹 for you!! I will be following you and my doctors orders!! Thanks for sharing your life with us!! You are very special, Arlene (Miami, Fl)
I am just getting ready to start this journey on Ozempic and am so glad I found your channel. I am looking forward to following your journey and watching more of your videos. :)
I just picked mine up today. My thyroid has been dying slowly and I've had insulin resistance for awhile. I just picked up my ozempic today. Hopeful! I'm so glad it is working for you! 😀
Ozempic is an injectable medication used to control blood sugar, but it has been shown to have positive effects regarding weight loss. I have lost 12 lbs already.
I started .25 for a month and then .05 for the past few weeks and I am down 8 lbs.. but.. it's been the holidays and I was eating lots of chocolate and gingerbread houses.. I had so many belly issues that I didnt notice anything more nauseated than I already had.. I'll be starting .1 soon.. My doctor didnt tell me the med slows digestion and then wondered why I was feel belly issues every night.. Tip - don't overeat especially in the evenings. I was waking in the night with heartburn/indigestion that first month.. I never threw up or felt dizzy tho, just nauseated and no appetite anymore.. If you are hardly eating, we need to be more mindful of what we do eat... When I searched ozempic on here I found your channel...Gonna subscribe!
I'm getting placed on ozempic this week and I'm so excited. I've been struggling for years with my weight. I have PCOS and type 2 diabetes. Your story is so similar to mine. I hope I have the same results as you do. I've been killing myself in the gym and eating strict keto for over a year and I've only seen a 8-10lbs loss with just doing it on my own. My 16hr fasting sugars always reads over 140mg/dl. I'm 5ft and my doctor wants me to weigh 120lbs, but I weigh 150lbs now after 10lb weight loss for over a year of working at it. I can't wait to finally get rid of my belly fat that is the bane of my existence, and has been for the past 5 years when I was first diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor is getting pre-auth from my insurance today and I really hope it's covered!🤞
Update: I just got my approval from insurance and paid the pharmacy $49.99. I have BCBS of Texas PPO low deductible plan through my employer. I'm so excited!
I have type 2 and PCOS, just started ozempic and woah 😳 nausea kicked my butt and I rarely ever have side effects from anything. I’m like the complete opposite of everyone. If something makes everyone tired it does the opposite for me. I haven’t thrown up in about 15yrs. I just don’t get sick like that. I started on .5 and when I say it hit me instantly…it literally hit me instantly. I didn’t vomit, but I was bedridden and a complete “non-functioning human being.” I couldn’t even look at food, still can’t, but I’m feeling better and back to myself. I have to set an alarm and force tiny meals or else I won’t eat. I literally have no appetite. I’ve never taken anything that works like this. It’s crazy. Thank you for sharing your journey. It totally helped me feel better and not alone.
I just picked up my first month doses of Ozempic. You made an awesome video. I'm afraid of side affects, so I'm gonna start it Friday night. I was hoping to see how you use the actual pen. Good luck and God bless you
I have PCOS as well. My A1C is 9.9 😞 I just got my prescription and I’m super nervous about my first injection. Thank you for this video. I’ve had no idea what to expect.
I started my journey today as I suffer from PCOS and fatty liver! I'm 92kgs and I'm so excited to see what happens. I do feel sick but not as bad so far!
Thank you. My diabetes specialist has been trying to "convert" me to this drug for nearly 18 months. After watching your video, I think I am finally ready to make the change.
Girl you’re beautiful!!! Congrats on your weight loss journey! I can’t wait to start Ozempic! Literally made an appointment with my PCP for this Thursday to get me on Ozempic. It’s going to be a $75 co-pay for me, but this is an investment in yourself which is the most important, so I am not pressed at all lol! I cannotttt wait! Your video literally motivated me so much! I have PCOS as well & I LITERALLY felttttt you heavily when you said you have to do the UTMOST just to lose weight pre-Ozempic...I was soldddd! Anyways, can’t wait to see more updates!!! Keep up the great work & ahhhh congrats on being in the 100 Club! Whoopppp 🥳
Thank you so much for watching and for your sweet comments! I'm so glad the video helped you make a decision with what you wanted to do. Also make sure to check the manufacturer for coupons. It may be able to lower your medication cost. Novo Nordisk makes it (OzempicSavings.com). There are usually some eligibility requirements, and a cap on the number of times you can use the savings card, but It can help in the short term. Good luck with it, and please let me know how it works out for you!!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m so happy for you, and it’s great to be on this journey with you. I’m actually starting Ozempic today and it was very comforting to come across your video and see what great success you’ve had as well as some of the side effects you experienced.
Cheers from Mississauga Ontario Canada. I have a similar story on Ozempic. I was 238.9 lbs in Dec'20 when I started using Ozempic. I went down to 225 lbs and I switched to the daily pill version called Rybelsus. I continued to lose weight and now down to 219 - 220 lbs but have plateaued. My current dose is 7 mg pill but I'm looking to increase it to the maximum 14 mg to see if I can get some additional weight loss. My A1C came down to 6.1 from 6.5. As we have robust health care in Canada, Ozempic and Rybelsus doesn't cost me anything.
Cheers from Steelcity, your next-door neighbour c: what do you mean by robust health care? do you have a private plan? i’m paying 20% since my extended health care (employee benefits plan) covers 80%.
I'm a new diabetic (since Feb 2022), i take the oral tablets version of Ozempic called Rybelsus, cause well im afraid of needles and i don't want to push things too fast as i also had to learn to check my sugar levels everyday. But even if i'm taking the highest dose of Rybelsus (14mg daily), i can see the difference. It really helped my weight loss journey. i'm currently at 63kg, was at 79 kg before my diagnosis. I think after watching your video, i am more confident to try Ozempic myself !
I just took my first shot this evening. I gained weight from health issues and it's making those issues way worse. I pray for success like many of you have. 🙏 I'm just desperate to get 50lbs off.
