I wish I could practice singing but my whole family live in a small house with very thin walls and I’m sure the neighbours would call the police thinking someone is being murdered
Yes I agree, start with something less powerful and if you can drive, practice all the hard songs in the car so nobody will hear lol I did choir for 7 years and this is how I figured out the harder notes :)
sabiq rusydi that’s a good idea, I have started with some easy Billie eilish ones (like come out and play, ilimilo etc) and i hope to work my way up so I can get to the high notes like she does
these comments are so oddly sad... people being surprised that boyfriends can accept you for you... people being surprised that you can build singing skill...
As for the latter bit... I think the reason why is that theres a lie and misconception that's common in (mostly Western) media that singing is some sort of deity-granted ability. It's sad, because if people try it and sound bad, they accept they dont have "the gift" and give up. When really, like most things, its just a skill people have to develop. It's pretty frustrating to be complimented on an ability as if it's luck or chance, rather than hard work that got you to that skill level.
@@Emilytea well one can practice and get better or sound decent sure but your voice will still be your voice, can't chsnge ut for anyone elses voice. Can only learn how to utilize it better. And unlike other skills people are born with their voice, some do sound better even if they are at tge same level of utilizing it. And your range. You can extend that but not too far beyond your natural range, what your voice come with. It's gonna be much easier for some and harder for the others. And when it's garder people kinda just... give up

You weren’t a bad singer in the beginning- you needed practice and you did just that and nailed it girl!! You should be so proud of your hard work and how amazing you sounded at the end!!!!!! X
@@mochiyeosang1908 This video came up in my recommendations- I didn’t look at the whole channel. Thanks for being an ass about something insignificant when I was just wanted to leave a nice comment.
@Kirsty Forshaw nah, I don't think So, I tried many high-pitched songs and and my voice Just becomes really "squeaky" and thin when i try to hit high notes... 😣😓
@@윤채은 agreed.. It's way too embarrassing to try and practice singing when you know that everyone can hear you :( I wanted to teach myself how to sing, because I sound bad right now, but I think I can do it with practice... but there is no location where I could sing around me.. I can just try with my normal voice (and I also need to whisper a bit) to make sure nobody hears me
It was honestly so refreshing to watch this! I'm an alto and will never be able to hit those notes she sang, but I've had to go through so much training to hit the notes I'm able to hit right now... seeing someone openly show how difficult it is to train their voice, but succeeding in the end, is so awesome! Thanks for this!
But like they teach you how to belt with chest voice? Or only with mix voice? Cuz I've been trying to develop my mix but it's the same f*ckin weak as 1 year and a half ago😪 it doesn't even sound natural and no matter if I try to sing loud or not, it's always the same! Weak as hell, so I stopped believing in it so I wanna start now to belt with chest cuz I guess I would be better
I guess, you still have your head voice so you can try to train it and hit this note with kinda mix voice😉. I am mezzo, so I know what is struggling with high notes
@@mary-kate_r7578 aaahahah its alright im albanian and when i read your comment i was actually questioning my english so i wrote the comment to see if someone would reply with the right verson😂😂
BRUH I’m a singer and this was SO COOL TO SEE We’re always so close to our own voices that sometimes it’s so hard to see how far we’ve come and I always forget how much work legitimately goes into being a quality vocalist
When I tell you my jaw DROPPED hearing you after the first month. This is absolutely incredible and so encouraging to really see that progress being made.
@Lana Pearl been with hi. For coming 5 years. I hate how he snores, doesnt mean I want him to break up with me because I hate it. You obviously break up with partners because they left the toliet seat up.
why is no one talking about how great she sounded at the beginning! obviously it could use some work, and by the end of the video it was heavenly, but even at the beginning she still slayed!
@@AGcatalina I feel like after practicing the same chorus for 2 months straight you'd learn the lyrics, even if it's in a non fluent language lmao. You may not know what they mean but saying them would become incredibly easy.
Yeah, Extremely rare voice. A lot of alto's can't sing these kinds of songs even if they train for there whole lives. That must be frustrating. I wouldn't know cause I'm bass.
Ramune Glass she has a rare voice, she just practiced to get it out and use it properly, not everybody has has that voice, even after that much practice
@@cicadaboi101 Altos training so hard to sing low AND high and then there is us Mezzosoprano who can easily get in both directions with the right vocal coach and opera training xD
1:37 She actually has a REALLY good range to her voice! Even if it was a little rough around the edges (which is only fixed by experience, of course), she still hit those super high notes which is SUPER impressive!
I love it when she knows theres something off, she doesnt get discouraged but instead practices to master it. *Kudos* Edit: whoa i didnt know this would get so much attention, but i hope everyone of us also strives to work on our weaknesses, instead of getting discouraged about it. : )
Dario Bravo I forgot what tv show he showed a clip of him before he took lessons to get better. I just think it’s pretty cool how if you can do a bit of singing and do lessons you can get so much better. But he does state that he taught himself to sing by doing certain song over and over again till he got better.
I love how open and comfortable you are with your boyfriend and how he doesn’t judge or make fun of you and instead helps and supports you in your goal. I would never allow myself to look “bad”/anything less than perfect in front of my boyfriend, and I’d be too afraid to ask for help, so I admire that in you
I don't want to judge your relationship, but if you don't trust in your boufrind to even show your "true face", you should really think about what is going on
@I'm gay so maybe they just don't feel confident enough to show this side of themselves doesn't necessarily mean the other person wouldn't be supportive or uncomfortable with them
thank you all in the comments but I don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend currently lol!! perhaps my phrasing was confusing, but I meant as hypothetical *if* I did have a partner currently or how in past relationships I was too afraid to show weaknesses...but as I said I really admire that quality in her so I’ll work on that for the future! ☺️
I cried at 4:47 because you improved so much ! Beautiful ! Wonderful to see such effort put into pop songs. They are not easy! Sia often songs this song a little lower when live!
I love how your boyfriend assists you with your technique. The hand over the diaphragm and on you back, gave me warm fuzzies. He’s doing so much to assist, not just sitting there listening and coaching off sound alone.
If I did that with anyone I teach (I work at a stage school), my director would give me absolute hell. :') Most of us are constrained by safeguarding, and now COVID too!
damn, I'm so jealous. it literally took me 20 YEARS TO BE ABLE TO REACH THIS VOCAL RANGE, AND IT TOOK HER LITERALLY ONLY 2 MONTHS! I guess she was blessed with that range, she just needed to train it a little bit.
She already naturally has a wide (soprano) range, she just doesn't have the correct technique (relaxed larynx and diaphragm) to pull it off nicely like Sia and many others do... Great effort tho, I feel sickness in my throat just by watching her struggle and listening to that forced/lifted vocal chords...
YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME POTENTIAL!!!! Sure you can go on vocal training but everyone has to have their own style because when you come out of vocal training you're gonna sound like everyone else there and it isnt going to sound natural.
Oh, you can't imagine what I put my neighbors through in my small aparatment. If I had my own house to practice in, I'd be belting morning 'till night.
i feel the same way when i learn new riff on guitar. like when i first hear it played im like “wow that sounds so cool i wanna play that” and then i learn it,practice it and play it and i get bored of it but others say it sounds amazing when i show them
When she said “I can hit high notes they’re just unbearable and don’t sound good” I felt that. Fr tho like I can hit high notes but I don’t know how to do it right and make it have some vibrato and it sound pretty 😂
@@patriziasforza8484 That's what I thought, too. She wasn't giving her voice any days of rest, even though she was doing something that was straining it and out of her range. It's the same thing as if she'd suddenly taken up a new heavy weightlifting routine and gave herself no rest days - instead of getting stronger, she'd only get weaker and then eventually hurt herself. Going to her boyfriend at least helped her avoid doing permanent injury, though.
And she had the wrong technique. It was with way to much pressure and not enough support from her belly, her technique at the end was sooo much better. Must have been a lotttt of work/training because a good technique isn’t easy to get
This is the perfect example of "Hardwork always pays off" the video really inspired me a lot anf I genuinely found the better result in 3 months of my dancing whatever the situation we have to face we should never pause from hardworking .
Thank you for sharing this ❤️ I am 33 years old and a horrible singer, but singing with a voice that people actually enjoy hearing was something I have wanted so badly since childhood. I gave up years ago, but you have inspired me to maybe search for a vocal coach and try again. For me, it will never be a career, I’ll never be famous and I will probably never preform but singing brings me so much joy when I’m not beating myself for being bad at it. I just want to enjoy it and you showed me that there is hope!
i've got an extremely annoying fear of failure which stops me from starting new things because i'm afraid of the stage where you're inherently shitty cuz you're a beginner... this reminded me of just how much you can improve if you practice so thanks!!!
Absolutely not. This is how VERY unhealthy vocal training looks like. You can see a pain on her face. She could (and probably did) hurt herself during that "training".
That was immaculate! The progression was beautifully paced and her voice at the end was absolutely amazing. Not only did she get better vocally on this song, but clearly overall.
Denise Hemphill it’s because when I sing I kinda have a deep voice. My Vocals aren’t strong enough to reach those high notes. So my voice is more comfortable with regular signing but my singing is not that bad.
hhahahhaha i cannot sing low notes bcs i born with such a highpitch voice and i am a boy and it sucks bro....but i can sing girl's song pretty well hahhahhaa
Awenishkandar Nazlan Bro can we switch?🥺I can actually sing some of Billie Ellish high pitched and the low pitch. Its not that hard, well for me.But one thing that sucks is that when I wake up in the morning my voice is realllly deep or when I haven’t talked in a very long time my voice gets really deep. But sometimes it gets deep when I’m sick.
I don't know why you would willing to tell people that you gave up on something that could’ve helped your singing and you could do it but you were too lazy keep trying!
Why's no one talking about how she's already good from the beginning .. yeah she got so much better but she was already soooo good in the beginning as well, I wish i could sing like her damnit:( Edit: Damn i wish you guys could teach me how to sing properly😔 also thanks for the likees~
Well, she is good in the beginning because she has already been learning to sing! If it was her first day singing, I don't think she would be as good as she is right now... So it's okay to be bad at first, don't let that stop you! The only way to stop being bad is to get good... And the only way to get good is to practice!!
@@HaiRiley how could i be a good singer? i'm practicing for years(with no method, just singing constantly) but i'm not still good enough, i can't hit high notes
@@mellomelo4901 it's just that her belting was unhealthy, hence why she said her voice hurt after the first lesson. bad belting will do that, luckily she did seek singing help though.
Yeh somehow the most important person now I need is a vocal teacher who can teach me singing Cause I love music than anyone other than my family So It's like First family Then music Then others
@@uwucrazy_xdmynameisjeff8215 ya because I already have my family...but I don't have vocal teacher...I don't need family as I already have...so I need vocal teacher now
You just motivated me to continue practicing cause one day I’ll get better. Your consistency and courage despite the time it took was amazing. Continue the good work and amazing results✨
In the beginning, she was DEFINITELY straining her vocal chords, you can hear it. Her singing gets less strained as time goes on because she learned how to use her diaphragm to project. It’s why her boyfriend was pressing on her stomach, so she could feel her diaphragm and use it to breath.
Fun Fact: Everyone can sing, you just have to either: 1. Be talented right from the get go. 2. Practice and develop the skill. Trust me everyone has the potential to be a good singer.
They are people that actually can't do the right notes when they sing. Don't want to sound dramatic but I don't think they will be able to sing with practice, they have bad ears from the beginning. Vocal cords are an important element in singing too, which explains why there are families where everyone can sing, it's genetic. I believe that if you have bad vocal cords and/or bad ears, you won't be able to sing no matter what.
@@iminyourbucketlist113 Ear training is there for a reason. Your vocal range has limitations, of course, but it can expand a bit with training. Some have it easier than others, but even the most tone deaf person that exists can train their ears and learn to sing right:) Then there's the whole thing about voice timbre, which you can modify as well to some extend, but that's mostly personal taste. If the intonation and the phrasing is great, you can sing really nicely compared to most.
She improved like 500% in just two months, incredible! I was actually worried she was going to damage her voice in those early clips, then sounded like a totally different person at the end!
This is generally known as one of the hardest songs to nail because you can’t force the notes yet you still need to execute them with power. Well done! Practicing can truly make such a huge difference in the arts
My sister laughed in my face when I tried to sing Christina aguilera infront of her-so I stopped singing, but it's something I love maybe I'd be somewhat good if I'd have just carried on and not cared about what people thought
Now I know why singers move their hands the way they do--they're reminding themselves of all the vocal motions they've been practicing! Thank you for sharing this, it was fascinating
This is so eye opening. I try a note twice and immediately drop a register thinking I can't do it well. LOVED seeing the process and all the adjustments along the way
The one mistake I see people making when singing chandelier is when they’re literally yelling and that’s when you start to go out of breath. I can tell when I’m yelling instead of singing because my chest starts to hurt, it’s good to see how she started to understand that on the third clip but she’s still yelling on the long held notes, I haven’t finished the video yet and I hope that she starts to use her chest voice instead of yelling once it’s finished
Honey it's not chest voice. You can't sing from your chest. She keeps singing from her chest and that's why it sounds bad. She needs to sing from her stomach. When you do this it flows better.
It should never hurt to sing. If you have to tense up to hit a high note it isn't going to sound optimal. Practice until you can hit and hold the notes while still being relaxed in your throat and chest. Also practice breathing (singing while lying on your back tends to fix breathing issues naturally) and warm ups. Good job though!
