My SURFSKATE PROGRESSION from zero in two months #skate #surfskate #progression #skateprogression #carver #slidesurfskate #carverskates #carversocialclub #skategirl #skateprogression #girlskater #beginnerskater
I'm 65 and quit boarding 10 years ago this video gave me a rebirth to not caring what others think about age and boarding I'm going out this week dust off the deck here comes the ol man lol
I'm turning 50 but haven't touched a skateboard since my teens. I discovered Stand up paddleboarding last year and bought a long board/skateboard last week with the intention of doing the "street paddling" thing with a stick. It's a great core workout - now that gyms are closed...
Larry I’m 53 and use a surf skate to stay fluid and balanced and who cares what other people think. Your smile will be worth it! I hope to be like Doc Ball in the movie Surfing for Life. Something like 80 years old and on a skateboard when he is not surfing. Yeah!!!
Loren Walden Doc was an old friend, I remember going to a party for him at Moonstone beach, Noll was there. He signed a book about his life, great guy, your right I need his never quite spirit. Thx for the reminder
Carvers are great surf skates. But it will be better to ride on good tracks and to use helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist protection. Carvers are less stable than usual skateboards and it is very easy to fall from them.
I'm 35. First time on a board... Something I build myself. Life has few "too late for you". Don't you ever give up y'all. You never know your limits until you try, fail and try again. Thank you for your progress so far. It is truly inspiring.
I'm 41 and want to start learning how to skate, your comment and other comments here gave me the push I needed to start doing it. I'm saving some money for my board now, :) cheers!
I am 67 and for a long time wanted to step on one skateboard and enjoy the ride. This year was that year. Thru watching videos in RU-vid and empowering myself, I borrowed a skateboard and started my journey 5 months ago. I already had a cut of my eyebrow and fracture my left wrist turning to conquer those deep ramps you find at the skateparks. But this not stopping me. You have to pay the price for taking risks and I’m not about to stop trying. Don’t let the old get in you keep the young within you active
Get some good safety gear. Wristguards, and elbow guards, and knee guards. And a helmet is also a good idea!! I'm 63 this year, and badly fractured my wrist ripsurfing. BECAUSE I didn't think i needed wrist guards anymore!! I'm going to start again, but I'll be wearing the best protection I can afford!!
This was a great video. Turning 50 this year. Bought my first longboard so I can skate with my 13 year old. Taught her how to surf this past summer, and she wanted me to come have fun on the asphalt. This makes me feel like my decision to skate again will be right as rain.
I want to learn to skate, just after a longboard now..I'm 39..just started trying to learn to surf..I've been know that a bit longer..progressing slowly though..loved this video! I think it is brilliant to start something up later in life!!
Estoy justo enseñando a mi hijo con skateboard y el igual que tú empezado a probar y quiero cogerme uno, mi duda es que tipo de tabla, ya que hay longboard, cruising, skatesurf... Quiero para circular por la calle y pista.
This is me, but I’m 45. My daughter learned to surf this summer and so I learned too. Now we are starting to surfskate to help progress with surfing and to have something to do when we can’t head to the beach. You’re never too old.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
I turned 61 this year and got my first surfskate today. 4 years ago I started with a longboard - I just came across your video wich is motivating me a lot! love it!
I am 48 and just today got one just the same than this in the video! Found this video by chance. Bought one to learn at the same time that my goddaughther :)
Im turning 21 this year , I has been a dream of mine to learn to longboard and surf so due this beautiful video I know now matter what our age we can always try new things. Thank you so much
do it now!! life runs fast and in a blink you'll be older and you will ask, why didn't start this before? (I'm 41 and I'm anxious for buy my board and start skating) :)
This video perfectly captured the rebirth to a new beginning. Something I'm experiencing going into 35, back on the board again after trying to "grow up" to societal standards when I turned 20. Forgot how freeing & liberating skating is. Stay true & stick to your authentic self everyone! Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, that's an awesome track. I'm just learning to skate, none of the skate parks near me have gentle rolling hills like that. So that's called a "pump track"?
I just turned 40 and got my surfskate recently. Never tried any kind of skateborad before, and couldn't even stand on it. I decided to try because my little daughter was about to learn skateboard. I promised her I would learn some "board" and hang out with her by our skake boards. Today is my 2nd day on board. Tiring, had a few falls, but also had soooo much fun! I love it! Thanks for sharing! Really inspirational! Hopefully I could reach similar stage as yours in a year 😁
@@esthercala2948 41 por acá y quiero mi tabla ya! no me monto en una desde la universidad (en esa época no fui constante y no aprendí mucho) pero sus comentarios me motivaron aún más ;)
I have 42 and I have 2 month from I started with my longboard, is smooth and really nice, here A Coruña I have not those park circuit to skate, I wanna to give thanks, because. she made me buy it (she inspire me), and Im happy doing streetsurfing. :)
Great work in learning how to skateboard. I whole heartedly agree with the other people who have commented regarding age. Don't ever let your age from stopping you from trying new things in life. Im 57 years old and crashed my mountain bike in Tasmania breaking my elbow, cracked rib and my arms were out of action for weeks. People say I shouldn't have been doing this but I tell you the ride I was having up until the moment of my crash was fast and furious and awesome. I also cruise on my long board skateboard along the path near the beach for fun too. Don't worry about what other people think, just have fun, stay active and chill. Peace to everyone out there.
Super cool! So inspiring...I sneak out on my kid's longboard on the warm summer nights and skate around the park...still love that feeling 35 years after buying my first skateboard!
Love this video! Nice cuts with the music. And most important: It creates a great feeling while watching it. Can feel the fun and happiness about every little success.
lately I've been thinking about buying myself a skate so I'm watching MILLIONS of videos about it. After watching this video of yours I definitely want to buy one NOW, you gave me the energy I needed to put myself into learning a new skill! much love 💖
I'm almost 39 ans I want to skate..I thought, what on earth am I doing?! This just brought me si much joy watching you, it gave me confidence..hehe..but you came on a really long way in 2 months!! Well done!! Xxxxx
I hope you started learning? I'm 38 and have started this year. It really does bring so much joy already and I can't do much apart from roll. But it's the start of something you can build on anytime! Good luck!
@@hollystevens316 oh thats ace!!! Also encouraging, I'm still plucking up the courage, I bought pads and helmet, and I have my board that I have had since I was a kid It looks so much fun. I'm trying to save for a little ling board skate camp! hehe. xx
Love to see your progression, focus and the relaxed fun at the end. I'm into surfskating for 3 Month now and on the same journey. Still looking forward to visit my first pumptrack. :-)
Agreed love the CX Very surf like but you can still lower track height and I put on landy… wheels Slides put but still pumps I can grind shove it and more on the board now that it’s modded. CX truck is amazing Really I wanna get the new angry fist Santa Cruz Collab with the C5’s Thing looks like the first do anything board. Steer ramp cruise and surf skate it But I tried the 32 swallow and it’s bad add Light as apposed to the 300 pound yow I do not like the slide is Chinese though
Fantastic, I am 55 and just took up surfing last year and have just bought a surf skate to help me progress. I look like you on day one, I hope that by the end of month two I am half as good as you. Thank you for making a brilliant and encouraging video.
Nice video, thank you! You have stood on a longboard before, haven´t you? You look very used to it from the beginning. OMG, I need such a skate park urgently!!! I am 65, and I still love my longboards and inline skates. Great to see (and to read in the comments) that I am not the only grown-up who loves to glide on a good surface! Greetings to all those crazy wonderful beautiful grown-ups, best agers and silverbacks all over the world who skate.
Inspirational! I have the same board, took it out today and couldn't get it moving forward. Came home a bit disheartened but your video has fired me up and made me want to keep going. Thank you so much and well done for persevering and becoming so awesome! Estas asombrosa :)
Find a nice flat open space, I started off in a tiny drive and found it impossible, but as soon as I got on a road it clicked - you need the space to build up a bit of speed!
Amazing video, so uplifting and inspiring. I have just started and this gives me the drive to push forward. Intrigued to know how far you have come now...
Felicidades por la progresión. Yo he aprendido con 48 años a base de tutoriales durante el confinamiento y en cuanto se nos permitió salir me compré un Carver C7. La semana pasada ha llegado mi segundo, un Slide, qué casualidad. Estoy enganchadísimo, practico a diario.
I am 45 yo and got my carver c7 a month ago.this is where I got so far, practicing pumping and carving ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J6HM38pRfKY.html
Thanks for your touching and inspired video. I’m a newbie on surfskate at age 36 and this video courages me a lot to try more until I can flow with this skate.
That was awesome. Coming from a 60 year old man still riding my electric skateboard. Last year I took up Electric unicycling. Never had so much fun in all my life.
Amazing work and progress. Sold my longboard a few weeks ago after feeling I wasn't good enough to keep it. Watching this and the joy skating brings makes me wonder if I've made a big mistake. Keep on having fun (that pump track looks amazing by the way)
I used to skate all the time.. I loved it and skated wherever and whenever I could. My legs were so strong and I was so fit, I gave it up years ago. You've reignited a bit of a spark again for me. Who cares what others think. Love the song choice too from the movie where he's skating and just being alive. Good stuff.
this just inspired me so much, i got back on my board for the first time after a bad fall on my tailbone and i had so much fun and this video makes me believe I can absolutely shred one day like you
@@nyc212gmail Both are great, but I really prefer the feel of the Mini Simms. It is very quick and easy to pump. The swallow is very smooth and better for distance if you are using it for transportation. You would have to pump the Simms twice as much to cover the same amount of ground. I like the quick maneuvering of the Simms, so I will generally skate to a spot and stay there playing around for awhile. The Simms is perfect for that. Hope that helps!
Soooo inspiring!! I’ll turn 41 this year and I finally want to pursue my childhood dream. I’ve been watching vdos about surfskating for months and searching for a good surfskate for absolute beginner like me. Could you please tell me which surfskate you bought? Thank you in advance.
I have that same Carver!! Carver trucks and completes are fantastic! Use to ride the normal double kick tail skateboards and switched to longboards and cruisers as I got older. The most relaxed and surf style that is so fluid!!! Great vid thanks for sharing. 🔥💪💥🛹
Alot to look up to girl you re good.My advice to oldies ..It's happening.Ive been skating for a yr loving it (getting better)streets and paths get some weird looks and plenty of smiles .Turning 70 this yr.Aussie Joe
Turing 48 this year, long boarding in the 90s . I had to stop after a car ran a stop sign, knocked me over ,and had emergency surgery to remove a blood clot on my brain. Your video is very inspiring and reminds me of the joy and freedom I used to feel. I think I will start again, with a helmet this time⛑
It's a nice vidéo. I'm juste afraid you don't care any protection ! And I feel amazing about the way you go in the pump truck !! I just dream to be able to do the same ;-)
Whoaaa look at you go! I've just ordered a surfskate and a bit anxious of using it as I am always used to having the water to land in! Loved this and hope I find some cool places to practice like you!
