Years ago an attractive elderly woman left our chapel amidst of anger that the members of the ward would not continue to give her free lodging because she was demanding and not grateful it took us almost a year to get her out of the kind sister's home. Time later we saw her walking down the street and hardly recognized her because she was dark and unattractive to us...she had changed her semblance on her own. Looking back I don't think her skin tone changed but her demeanor did. Somethings are just plain spiritual but can seem physical.

I loved this episode so much!! My husband and I were taught by the missionaries before blacks were allowed to receive the priesthood. We told the elders that we would not be baptized into a church with this iniquity. After the proclamation, they found us to tell us about it. That was when I read the Book of Mormon, was converted, and we were baptized. I have been accepting this and other contradictory circumstances by faith ever since. All these years and in all my attempts to gain a more clear understanding, this episode has helped me the most. Ofcourse there are lots of new contradictions; that is why we need faith. Thank you!!

Taylor and Your enthusiasm is absolutely contagious!!!! Taylor, sorry to see you've moved on to another great gospel enlightening podcast without Tyler. You two brought so much deep and enjoyable knowledge to my ever praying and searching desire to understand what I'm reading. Our Lord is good, Taylor and Mike, you two absolutely shine with a balanced enthusiasm while explaining 2 Nephi 3-5, with me enjoying every description as you highlight definitions . I am blessed as a senior citizen to have extra time to view and totally enjoy 6 different presenters of the Scriptires weekly. I can't live without my scripture study family, thanks.

Great insights about the “skin of blackness.” I’ve heard a lot of theories over the years: symbolic for good and bad, skins being garments they “put on”, skins being possibly a paint or marking, and darkness as a skin disease.
