Honestly he seems alot like Mad Eyes and Dream Witch. They might seem difficult at first, but once they are mastered they can be REALLY hard to win against.
I actually hope he doesn't get nerfed, and if he does, I hope he doesn't get nerfed into dirt. He looks very difficult to use, but rewarding if you manage to play him well
Looking at it i think most probable nerf would be throwing the glove through walls or the amount is ciphers he can connect, aside from that he seems pretty well balanced, with the share damage and how it can probably mess him up
the damage sharing looks like it can be used against him to extend early kiting, and his early game chase does not seem like anything crazy. but that ability to fight cipher rush is super good, and that full presence is kinda scary. He seems like an alternate version of Joseph. Probably upper mid tier, or low high tier.
His damage depending on how many people the damage is split between: - One 👤 hit: 1.2 dmg (60% of your health). - Two 👤👤 split hit: 0.6 dmg (30% of your health). - Three 👤👤👤 split hit: 0.4 dmg (20% of your health). - Four 👤👤👤👤 split hit: 0.3 dmg (15% of your health). ----- This means that it will almost always take you three hits to down someone if they have the same charge as someone else. 🥲
A tip for survivors: (if you aren't being pursued obv) you can remove your polarity by entering a locker! I've tried it myself and it definitely works :) It's sooo useful because if your team isn't coordinated and you don't know who's kiting you're at risk of sharing dmg if you're the same polarity as someone and you can't change your own. I definitely try to remove my polarity whenever I'm not being pursued or when I don't know who is.
Now imagine the situation in which you've got the same polar with the one kiting the hunter but all of the sudden they got a terror shock and you'd also get affected by it as you mingled decoding peacefully at your cipher... That'll be too cruel for the innocent clueless one, can't imagine how low tier will handle that.
why are yall thinking about low tier just like netease does.... they are the reason hunters get netfed to death and new survivors are strong AF. please let hermit be a good hunter for high tier omfg
@@swagjose1817 unfortunately, that's what going to happen if low tier struggle against him (plus if they keep on encountering him out of hype) but we also have the rare case like naiad (never got nerf after release) and wax (before receiving buff) so we can't be quite certain how much Hermit will be affected by all this if NE decided to justify on low tier's complaint on him. I'm not trying to agree with NE's way but we can't stopped them either.
Its gonna be really bad if the team has a doctor, she'll share the damage so a survivor won't get down easely Its better to use *deterioration* *panic* and *impact* (impact decreases healing speed by 15%/20%/25%) this will take more time for doctors to self heal and heal teammates
I believe that doctor got buffed this year and she isn't affected by any slow downs for her heals, not sure if that includes persona web too but it definitely includes Vio notes, Smiley Face attachments and so on.
This is the only hunter can't even down someone at the end game with detention lol. As long as there are 3+ ppl sharing damage they can still be ok. The fact that he need to apply DMG by basic atk is a huge let down, I can name many survivors can kite him in 60s at least. He is a cypher control type but in this meta chase are more important because if you don't have presence to unlock your skills, it's irrelevant how good map control you are because most hunters only look scary when they get the 2nd skills.
Chase alone with no map pressure only guarantees ties, not wins. There are a lot of hunters like clerk or wu that struggle early game but come back mid to end game, it depends how well you play your cards with map pressure type of hunters.
@@sanny2.04 at first i thought he'd be nerfed with the share damage, but when I realized it's divided it didn't look very useful. And I believe they'll probably nerf the glove but buff some other ability like maybe the charge field so it makes damage as well at full prescense when stunning a survivor or something like that
Please don't nerf him too hard Netease, he's a cool Character with a cool Original Skin, Cool Abilities and he comes with a hella cool S Tier. We need a new good Hunter like him! Edit: Guys I KNOW he will be nerfed like every new Character, I'm just saying Netease shouldn't nerf him to a Trash B or C Tier Hunter
One thing I always find odd is people on vids with him talk about the sharing making him need 3+ hits, but nobody seems to mention how he can shorten chases so much. I usually get first presence very quickly, and from there between the two you have the tools to control the chase, be it getting the stun shot for the hit, or even just denying them area and forcing them to transition. Idk if the survivors I'm facing are just bad or I'm just lucky he clicked. Also for whatever reason it always bugs me when you see people hold Miracle to aim, maybe that's part of my success? I aim while walking normally, and just tap it so their first hint I'm ready to stun them is when I shoot.
I was a naiad main, but I seemed to always lose whenever I use her. A couple of hours ago I decided to use this guy with no practice whatsoever and I won a RANKED MATCH😀 IDK ANYMORE
If 4 survivors got same charge while decoding(red) and then the kiter takes a normal attack from hunter , will the kiter be able to get the red polarity back by just touching the cipher machine for a second ? Doesn't that mean as long teammates are decoding their charge may remain same even after sharing damage and the kiter can take a hit and then again get the same polarity back. By repeating this process hermit is bound to get annoyed.
If I’m not stupid then I think u were mistaken on his cipher connection. When he’s connecting cipher , the polar he’s using is the polar survivor get when they deocde those ciphers so it’s not just only red.

Allow multiple hits on survivor, but damage inflicted on the attacked person will split which means: Detentions split to x1.0 damage to 2 people and 0.5x to 4 people?
The damage share isn’t op at all if the hunter don’t manage his game properly, bc that means it will take so many hit to down just one surv. If your teammate kite long enough then it’s a good thing for your team. Also surv can change the pole, 50s cool down when game start before you can press change the pole, after changed you’ll 80s cool down before u can change the pole again.
are u fr? cipher rush will not let this hunter 'be op'. if teammates are sharing damage, the first kite just gotta last long enough (as if survs don't have tons of items for this)
Bruh, as a survivor main i think he is not that strong especially if there is a psychologist, doc, or barmaid, you can even change your polarity if you are a rescuer or decoder and don't want to take damage from others being chased, the fact others can tank damaged for a survivor being chased and his hitbox not being that big actually makes his chase not very strong, like any hunter, he gets stronger once he gets presence
@@jt8815 enchantress, priestess, patient, magician, explorer,.... And prospector can counter his early chase just like with Ann. In fact many survivors can counter him and those are only a few I can think right away. Usually a hunter with no skills to deal DMG need a good chase to be meta, such as blood queen's mirror, even dw needs to bring patroller in early game. His chase is somewhat worse than axe boy, he can't close distance at early game. In the end game, I think survivors at the other side of the map can tank a hit to help the person who is being chased stay alive and then use the own self heal to get out. Tbh his kits are so inconsistent to be meta.
@@alynussy and the cipher rush after 3 mins of a match regardless of anything is not annoying? 😭 help we've been complaining about the ciphers for ages and when a hunter has something to do with ciphers ya'll gonna cry and say op 💀
