I'll have to admit, for a first draft, it's not that bad of an opening. I thought it was funny with Mollys dancing. Also, I admired Woody's statement on the toys not being digitised.

It's so strange he talks about expectations instead of desires. I feel like the ending of TS3 pays off b/c it's clear here the characters want to be played with, and to stick together. Expectations are a part of it, but it feels like desires are even more important?

Yeah, that's What They Desire but Its already obvious, and Their Future being uncertain is the Point Of The Movie. For this Movie in specific is clear that The Expectations need to be clear because its when Those expectation arent met wil drive them for the entire Plot of the Movie.
