My name is Lee and I am a prospector of Gold in Victoria. I have been Prospecting for almost a year, from a standing start and after some inspiration from a mate I lashed out and purchased the GPZ 7000! Ive been hooked ever since!
The lure of the big Western Australian nuggets or even patches has been there from the start, hearing stories and watching other prospectors killing it in the west made me want to get there asap!
What an experience it was! I spend around 1 month in WA and after about 3 and a half weeks I'd found 9 grams.. in my book that was a failure, like many I was hoping for fields full of gold... haha! I stopped at a spot on the way into a small town in preparation to head home when it all changed! I was swinging for about 2 hours when I found the first one of this patch a beautiful 2 gram nugget in the creek line, the stars aligned after that and I ended up pulling just over 2 ounces out of this spot including species and some rock that still needs to be processed..
