Liked and subscribed. I’ve been playing for over five decades mostly by ear and never learned scales. I’m digging in before I croak and I’m out of guitar intermediate prison in the past six months. Very therapeutic. . I played out all over the globe and never learned how USE THE FRETBOARD DIAGONALLY. THX IM ON FIRE NOW AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEOS.

i think i have it now ..E 3,6, A3,5 D3,5,8 G 5,7 B is 6,8,11 and E 8,10? and then opposite back.. do i have it right then. only mine doesnt sound like anything yet.. is the one next to that.. E 6,8 A 5,8, D 5,8,10, G 7,10, B 8,10, E 8,11??? (this one i doubt if its good the other i think i got right because the picture i used upside down)

By a show of hands, how many people, like me, had to lower the playback speed to 25% in order to "even try" to follow his riffs. I'm doubt that anyone who can play those riffs even needs this lesson. But for those that do it would be nice to have some tab to illustrate even just a small sample of the riffs he is playing. I've got the scale pattern written down, again, by lowering the playback speed, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to learn (or hear) his example riffs.

@@evergladesrhythm you just play so fast. You did post illustrations of the scale which were very helpful. I just can’t decipher your licks. Even just one or two tab illustrations would be great. Thanks so much. It was a very helpful way to further get a grip on the mysteries of playing the guitar
