those CI 2 pros are so amazing. such perfectly shaped blades. i love everything about them, from the rails, to the nose and tail, to the rocker, to the beautiful outline, everything. I was mesmerized in that aisle for some time, grazing each board from the shortest to the tallest (5'9" to 6'4" if not mistaken) the 6'2" was my favorite, although the 6'4" was probably more suitable for me to not stand up on and ride on my belly (not by preference, but by sad necessity) :) i wonder what a 6'6" would be like, and speaking of which, the 6'6" happy traveler was my other favorite. the happy series, especially that 6'6" traveler, was perfect. such beauty. all that said, i was (and still am) so elated to walk out the door that day with a very very special rook 15 with a perfect rounded pin, much like the happy traveler, actually, but considerably thinner and shorter, that is part of one of my favorite surfers quiver. a pro. a ripper. a hero :) she's so cool. the board is beautiful, half pink, gray stripe. i almost cried holding it in the shop, and i was shaking when making the acquisition transaction, literally, shaking hands and racing heart. with only two paddle outs, the board has thus far proven quite possibly (probably) way way more performancy than my abilities, especially now. that said, paddling on it, diving through and up and over waves is so delightful, as is its beauty, lightness, responsiveness and agility, and every time i pull it out of the bag and wax it or carry it under my arm, i get to admire it so much, and enjoy the fragrant wax on its beautiful deck. i may never get to do more than paddle on it, but if thats all, im still happy. its also very cool to get to experience what the boards i see her ripping on seemingly so effortlessly and making it look easy, feels like. i am very happy and grateful for the opportunity. i hope that ill be able to also try a 6'6" with hope of more volume and perhaps more suitable stability, while still responsive :) i dont know exactly who to thank for this, but i will find out as expressed thanks and gratitude are definitely in order :)
epic. looks like the absolute perfect CI shape. typically i like a highly rockered board, especially for steep late drops and hollow pockets and spitting barrels, brah, but i have experienced the 'too much rocker for all waves' on a rad pearson arrow 6'2" that i loved, back in the early 1990s (91/92), but lagged on less than perfect hollow steep waves, specially mushier peaking waves. maybe this board is the magic perfect 'one board, 6'6" fits every condition from 1' to double overhead. in any case, id be so stoked to have one of these :)
This is peak surfboard. The outline of the board is very interesting. To me it looks like they took the front 2/3rds of say, a 6'0'' HPS, and married it to the tail of a 5'10'' HPS.
Britt says: "A good rocker curve is a good rocker curve. You can change it a little but is stays a good rocker curve." What does this actually mean? If you change the rocker curve a little, don't you have another rocker curve?
