@@IanBellueMusic hey I literally just bought the 14in MacBook Pro and I want to start making beats when I’m not at work. I have no idea what to buy between fruity loops and logic. What do you recommend? What’s the difference
No need to explain, showing says everything! 😅 I have been using fl studio for about 6 years now and I was thinking about getting a faster workflow and I can already see how fast it is in Logic to just create a drum pattern or make a beat in one window without having to link each track to a mixer or assign them etc… Thanks for this video 💯🔥
thank you for this video. I use GarageBand primarily and was in love with that so much that fl studio just seemed, daunting to say the least. I know I can learn it but the interface just wasn't for me. This video has solidified my reasoning for purchasing Logic Pro X. Self investments thanks again🙏🏾
i think both are really good. if you got the finances might as well get both of them and use each one for their own specific perks. use both of them to produce so that you arent limited to just one software. there is really no need for a battle. hits have been made on both. just learn the softwares and use both to your advantage
I love logic. But fl is also great. I like my melodies in logic and my drums in fl .but i like my mixing in fl I can record a track in logic and mix it in fl even when i use protools I'll prefer to mix with FL studio
The fact that it comes with everything in box is what's so helpful. You can definitely make it work in other daws, but it's all right there in logic, ready to go.
@@IanBellueMusic yup. for my set up its under 2 grand counting logic m1 mini and behringer audio interface 404 with adams audio t8vs, and rarely use headphones.
I have logic and fl studio but I will give logic the edge as far easy to use .But fl studio I feel I like a different machine that I have to get use to using
Yeah! Logic is incredible, but Mac, macbook, mac pro, mac mini, all Apple costs expensive, then PC on windows. Windows is more cheaper. I think it's most important reason, why more people use FL Studio. Only price)
I hear you, but if your serious about music production I think it’s a worthy investment. Also the Mac Mini is a pretty serious performer with the M1 chip at only around $700, plus monitor, mouse, and keyboard which can be had for pretty cheap, that’s not significantly different from a lot of PC prices.
Thats not valid argument anymore when m1 Airs cost around 1k and are superior for creative work because how they treat audio etc.. Why anyone who respect themself would buy 500$ pc laptop etc for music production, so much pain and then maybe Ableton suite for 700, thats pretty much cost of Mac+ logic
@@3rdARKnight Nothing, but making music on 500 dollar pc (laptop) is pain. Macbook is superior in terms of latency compensation and performance, and its joy to use. Imo
This video is GLAZING logic.. Everything he did in the intro you can do with the big red record button on the FL main overhead menu. His first reason is invalid you can do all that in FL just as fast, you dont need to be ¨looking¨ for particular drums you can always load up a kit, and even so most producers will always build the drum kit so its not even a good reason. And the second reason in FLs browser you type in pad and it pulls up everything labeled ¨pad¨
Get out of here with that nonsense. Most pads aren't going to be labeled with the word "pad", so the wouldn't work. And I can't imagine how having hundreds of premade drum kits wouldn't be an asset to anyone, but when I do make my own kits then Logic is way better at that too. I don't have anything against FL, I just switched to something better.
But isn't ableton live just as good, if not better if you consider the same reasons? I'm no Ableton fanboy, just saying. I love FL, but I'm stuck with Ableton as I'm just way too used to it
Yeah I think so at this point, I've had some people say that I should switch, I feel like I might give it a shot here this year. I worked with one producer that showed me how he had built sample libraries in it, not sure how he did it but it was really powerful.
I've been seeing more OG producers back FL because of how it sounds. I've one some AB testing, when using the same plugins it seems like it sounds identical. I think Southside said something similar
I heard the same and honestly I think he’s only saying that because of the people who work under him probably use it (I use FL and prefer FL) but don’t see anything wrong with logic certain things you can’t do with Logic that makes FL dope and certain things Logic has that I envy about that FL doesn’t has 1 is nice clean stock sounds, but on the flip side I mix my drums/sounds to the point they sound like different kits along with a few tricks up my sleeve, but yeah why Tim would say that imo is because it’s probably his “team” producers probably all use it.
on logic pro don't run 32bit VST 😂 and logic pro working only 64bit MAC wich price is not adequate to machine components where for the same price you can by more powerful laptop with Windows than Mac
Forsure, and I'm not a windows hater, but I used to be in that camp. But my 2018 MacBook has outperformed and outlasted my previous pcs. All love, I'm sure there's really solid windows machines out there, but my experience with Mac I won't go back anytime soon.
Dude I HATED using FPC. Everything is condensed into one. Can’t have individual hits on their own midi channel. It’s all in one place in logic , Ableton Bitwig. I used FL for 12 years. As soon as I tried another program I realized FL has some holes in it.
"Can’t have individual hits on their own midi channel." Not to argue, but that isn't even remotely true. Each instrument can not only have it's own midi channel, it can have it's own midi note number and panning and volume and volume layer ( different velocities trigger different samples ) layer tuning and mixer channel. You can even import your own samples and create custom kits.
