RU-vid's auto-translate caption feature is an incredible asset for language learners and creators alike, but sometimes it doesn't work.
If that's the case:
1) Check whether you're trying to use RU-vid from a device like a desktop or laptop or a smartphone app on your phone or tablet. Currently, auto-translated captions are only fully supported on the desktop.
2) If you're trying to access auto-translated captions from a mobile device, check whether the original caption language is one of the 16 currently supported languages for auto-translated captions on mobile.
Note: Google has indicated that they see improving captioning and translation as one of their key objectives and the rollout of this feature is ongoing and these limitations will likely not apply in the future.
