I just watched a video of 5 guys who caught a 100 pounds fish and were so scared and clueless what to do next that they shot it with a glocker :D Then I watched you guys catching 12 feet tigers and releasing them, and I felt a bit better about the human race in general :)
I bet that 12 feet looked a whole lot bigger in the flesh than it does on screen! This is why I only swim in clear water with excellent visibility and stick to the shallows at a surf beach. Swim out over the gutter where those Tigers or Great Whites lurk and you're done.
Please...please...help me get out to sea...I'm so weak...take me out...just a little deeper...a little deeper yet...I really need your help...a little further from shore...why did you have to reel me in? Okay...this will do. All this fighting has whetted my appetite. I'm hungry now, and, well, you'll do nicely. And remember while I'm digesting you, that we're terribly misunderstood...
Keith Long I live on the ocean on Fraser coast we have plenty of sharks and crocs I fish the waters regularly I have friends with trawlers I see what comes out of my home water I respect it and no way in hell would I swim in it We just lost a young lad to shark attack not far from here in March so I’m no dummy when it comes to the ocean I’m well educated on sharks in brackish and fresh also I have caught them in the rivers here I’m also well aware of the croc population so thanks for your lecture but I’m pretty sure I don’t need it 😁
Back when I was young boy that was a long time ago anyhow asked a guy how the swimming was when I was in Australia ! He said its good mate we only lost two men to the sharks this week ! So I can,t say that I swim when I was there !! Just call me Chickenman !!
Joey that was a sick vid👌 You and Tim have helped in this video to understand how sharks play around with baits and not to get to eager in ripping in to the shark to early me being a female can't thank you guys enough for your awesome info yeeeeoooowwww❤❤❤ Can't wait to beach another beast. When are more vids coming?👌👌👌
I dont usually post 2 comments but after they cought that shark I was actually amazed to see they had stripes. I come from the country so I dont see this stuff. You got my sub so interested.
Awesome. Have you ever hooked a white shark? I did and i laughed at me, them came to the wharf and chomped on the wood piles. I had to cut the line, 'cos I couldn't move it with 80lb braid on a surfcaster and stella 30000 and it was getting dark after 8 hours. It just went up and down the harbour and I hardly moved it. What I normally catch Bronze Whalers on, just wasn't grunty enough. I just ordered an Alutecnos 80w 2-speed with 130lb braid and mono topshot, paired to a 60kg stand-up roller tip rod. I hope to run into that white again, and see if I can win this time. He owns the harbour me. We don't usually get whites as far north as Auckland (usually around Stewart Island- biggest in the world down there) and I don't target them. There's just this one, and there's a warning sign out now at the wharf, 'cos kids jump of it in summer. Have you ever accidentally hooked a white shark? is it illegal to catch them in Aussie? Not that you really know what you have hooked until after the hooks in. Ta, Dave
Jim J yer iv have a couple of trolls following me for awhile now, soon as i post they do it, but i dont take it personally just jealous i say haha Thanks mate 👍
Question, why are you guys so confident in getting right up close to its head after you land it and releasing it. Is it because you know its too tired or your just mad as cut snakes?
Can you eat a tiger shark because i know their are plenty of them and they will eat you or anything eattable even seagulls seals fish wide variety .🤔🤔 Please let me know.be nice please.👌 Can you eat black tip and white tip sharks.???🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
@@sharkyshepo8167 yep but they are very aggressive and determination if their mind set on eating you or anything else their determination is fierce and persistent scary.Bull sharks are another very aggressive sharks and have i think been known to go up rivers and sometimes live there for a while. That in itself is scary most people don't know that i do thank goodness. If you can't see in the water don't swim is my best advice. What is the best safest shark to eat no worms and please be truthful her the thing i not a trophy nore a sporting person just want to catch and feed my family.Have ate shark once best fish i ever ate other than flounder and red snapper. But their are those that say some sharks are poisonous to eat is this true or is it a chemical in their body that is bad and what specific shark could they be talking about or is none of this true. And do some sharks have lots of worms or none.Im so confused about all ive been told just want the truth for real.why is it only 4 foot sharks and not the bigger ones is there a size limits on sharks.im on the east coast nc . Its not like fish and asshole game advertised or let it be known what you can or can't catch they don't give out the info when trading your right for a priglege so they can catch you doing something wrong and ticket you or catching something under or over size. They should be made to give you all information with out trading your right for a privilege. So if you know what size and what species to throw back and what to keep your not harming the next generation ya know. But they fish and asshole federal employees not state .Federal employees and have no right to.Why don't they give those jobs to the county people not fed or ILLEGALS.my family has been here in us for 5,000.00. Years i have five different nationalities in me and maybe more.all should only take what they need and allow the species to thrive replenishing and continue to live for as long as possible.Same as us.much love from the 🇺🇸 stay with joy.👍💡🗝😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎💞💖💕💓❤❤💓💕💖💞💖💓💞❤
The key is to have a sports drink ready to go. Well done. If you're not have a beer by 9am, you're not going to reach your full potential or ever get close to your personal best. That's a tip right there. Get a sandwich too. Go all in.
How do you know the fish didn't keep picking it up and dropping it? I mean, maybe you could have hooked it on the first big run. How would you know the difference?
Just been doing it a long time, also if u go for the hook up early u have a 50/50 chance, if u wait it's nearly 100% But 90% of sharks don't take long, i think cause this tiger was so big it iT was happy to take it's time, smaller sharks want to pick up bait and sprint off
Great catch lads! Just found this channel, you have another subscriber from the U.K. Just a question though, if you’re using the girth x girth x length calculation for an estimated weight, aren’t you supposed to measure from the fork of the tail to the nose, not the tip of the tail? Or is it different in Australia?
@@sharkyshepo8167 They are here just damn work getting in the way. Worst is when a big hammer or tiger get landed the next day right where you grinding for 3 days and you are at work. Waiting for winter damn hot here now and hurricanes popping up soon so winter == sandbars for us.
Love your videos guys! I've been binge watching your videos for a couple of days to present. That first 🐅 🦈 was a beautiful monster 👻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 😃🤩 Awesome catch and release man!
That shark has to be insane to see in person I doubt the camera does it justice. Absolutely insane. do you think I could land sharks less than 8 ft with 60-pound braid? I'm using a 14000 spinning reel and don't have the line capacity to go much over 60.
Cheers mate, well it took me 1hr to land a 8ft bull on 80lb spin so I would say no as it's pretty painful on spin and shark might end up dead. Especially if there's a current.
They always come back your right they normally make about a quarter mile turn and pick it back up I used to do a lot of boating out baits in Freeport Tx and port O’Conner and it is expensive for all the tackle you need but worth it did it for many many years but shifted to marlin fishing but I miss shark fishing I’m tired of sharks in a boat but miss the beach
Stop RESISTING, HAVE You GOT YOUR MASK ON SHARK? We've got batons...cut the shit. Swim towards the Shore, don't Resist. You Aussies are impressive, well done fellas. Watching from eastern TN. Will be on the shore next week, taking kayak and an old pen senator. Hopefully I'll catch one half that size so I can land it.
Newbie problem fix: Use big Tuna circle hooks, 14/0 - 16/0 and always reel in your slack = almost guaranteed hook-up. Personally, I'd opt for an Assassin Blade HMG or Rob Gavin's Heavy Shark Xtreme rod at close to 14ft long. Much better pulling power for a big fish. Lovely fish lads, keep it up!
We use 20/0 circle we have the best hook on the market, wen shark playing with bait never reel slack in, let him eat, if u watch the underwater footage the hook is right in corner of mouth, perfect hook up
@@sharkyshepo8167 In order to get a circle to set properly, you need tension on your line. Agreed, you don't want to spook the shark from taking the bait but too much slack will result in a lost fish. That's how we do it here in South Africa.
@@thepatriotsrage661 all u need is weight on the line and the fish pulling against u, the circle does the rest, if ur apply tension and the sharks comes back at u then winde but in this situation i did right thing, iv got circle hooks done pat perfect, have for over 10yrs & got the numbers to prove it
Another English cousin here, would love to give this ago. Do Cornish shark fishing and we get Porbeagle, Thresher and various types of dog and bulls. Nothing this size tho!!!! Swap places for a week or two?? That'd be swell! Subbed! Question??(commented half way through) How much engery does a tiger still have even after a fight like that? Watching you guys handle it like a puppy made me piss me pants.. Can they snap around and nab ye? Heard of it?
Hey mate heaps of energy, there few googans out there and they take of 3hrs to bring in a shark that size, we take 30mins so ours are swimming of with heaps of energy left, thats y we have big gear and dont use small reels. Nar tigers are tame, but we take each one as a new personality, so we ready for it, thanks mate
Lads that was FUCKING unreal I've never seen anything like that before fair play that's some serious stuff I just stumbled accross this video and was enthralled
What bait did you use ??? What i be right that you take that wee outboard out into deeper water drop the bait then head to shore because the Casting distance on a Boat Rod non existant ..
That last one was a fatty. Great break down on setting the hook i agree patient is the key. We just caught a mako off the beach last Saturday had to let her eat for a good bit
Nice tigers, big W 80 reels and 150 lb line can bring it in quickly. If they were using 60 lb line and 30 W reel it would had taken 3 hours then the shark would be exhausted and die. Good work, I guess those tigers will live.
