It is a lovely kit that goes together well. It is great to see Airfix kits in this scale. Their Austin K2 Ambulance and truck are marvellous. Most of us modellers started with Airfix and it is so nice to see them back again with new kits in a variety of scales . GREAT VIDEO. THANKS FOR THE TIPS.

Great kit, I am just building one I got for my Birthday. Its my first Airfix Kit and first 1:35 model since about 1980 so Im glad its an easy build. I didnt have any trouble glueing the metal strips at the front but I notice on photos of the one at Bovington Tank museum the vertical bit is behind the horizontal but the kit appears to be the other way round with the vertical bit at the front.

Love me some British armour. The attention to detail on the correct wheels and bolts on the pistol ports is impressive. Don't know I've got that in me. Would rather bash out more kits than agonize over tiny details but that's me and everyone has their own hobby. I've actually been thinking of getting the Airfix 1/35 tank "mystery" box for the sheer value of it and the chance of getting these new kits. Been working my way through the stash feel I deserve it. By the by...as anyone ever finished a bottle of Tamiya Extra Thin? Same with their panel line washes! The little brush bits fray well before I was even 1/8th of the way through.

Concurrent builds make sense when two models have the same or similar paint schemes. When you consider that 60-80% of all time with an airbrush is cleaning it, you may as well maximise the amount of paint sprayed during the session!

Really great build👍👍 photo etch at times can blow. Now 3D printing is my go to for German buckles and tie-downs and other stuff a great way to end crazy photo etch parts. But here in the US we have evergreen styrene not sure if it's where your at, but I see you have some kind of styrene it's all l use it for those angle iron or fender parts, boxes etc.

Can't really complain about it being academy tooling still better than what an airfix attempt would have been! Lol I'm building Tamiyas new A34 comet it's nice yeah some mixes thought's though it could have been better the time and put back dates for release it had sounded like something special but hey its my first comet in 3 year's I just couldn't get kne so I'm happy just at that! I've done a heck of to it though replacing parts and adding parts n wiring etc drilling the 3 holes out for the water run off was tedious but needed done really barrel is very very nicely done the seamline is so fine like what some pink Mars are on tracks couple light swifts with sanding stick they were gone! It's actually the second time I've used a kit barrel believe it or not, it's actually usable! Tracks are lovely sight vien I had to scratch build from brass sheet and rod the one in the kit is horrendous, usable really plastic it way to think even trying to shave it down still looked to narrow so made a really good job of making one it's looking good now! Figures faces are horrible replace the figures as look hunched backed!

I bought this almost as soon as it was released and bought the same road wheels to fix the bolt number issue.... Great idea for the pistol ports.... I have agonised over a remedy for that, so thank you.... I now know what I will be doing over the holidays! 👍 Merry Christmas friend and I look forward to the next installment... 🍷🌲 🧑‍🎄

If this kit is being moulded by Academy at least there will be no sinkage ,warping or short shots! Something that is gaurenteed with Airfix moulding.

Great vid as always 👌 11:40 you could maybe hold the upright piece with some blutak at each end then add glue to the other areas. When dry remove blutak and glue the final sections 🤔

I was really pissed when Airfix released these kits as they were not the variants originally advertised. What we got were copies of the Tamiya kits (Cromwell MkIV & Centaur MkIVCS), though they still managed to screw up the road wheels. In some areas the Airfix kits do have slightly better detail, however their rendition of the Cromwell MkVICS is inaccurate. Airfix coppied the Tamiya Type C hull which was ok for the versions they produced. The Cromwell MkVI CS used the Type D and F hulls with different engine deck, so here Airfix got it wrong.

If Use 99% acetone for CA clean up,doesnt seep into join.Makes CA solidify like soldered joint.Evaporates fast unlike debonder leaving CA to dry faster.When dry you can use debonder to tidy the joint

It does look very similar to the other armour offerings that are ex Academy. Scalemates does say these are new tooled, but nothing about the kit is Airfix, other than perhaps the decals. I checked the sprues of the 2 kits I have that I know are academy moulds, and they have the makers tag blanked out, although the Tiger I does say Made in Korea. By the way, If you want a bargain in this range, get the Tiger 1 "Early version" (Kit *A1363* *NOT* the Citadel version). It has full interior, including engine. Also the 1/35 M3 Grant, has a full fighting compartment and drivers position (no engine). Scalemates instruction downloads are invaluable for checking this.

Well, those are not torsion bars. The Cromwell had Christie suspension, that means there were coil springs.

Yes, for some reason a lot of people confuse torsion bars with swing arms. Causes some confusion on vehicles that have both!

I’m convinced that it’s Academy. Compare the style of the sprue letter tags and the part numbers on the sprues with a current Academy kit like the 1/72 F-14 or the 1/144 B-52. Do I care? No, I do not. Bought the Mk. IV.
