HI Peter, great stories again, the first story you read and you mentioned the Grace Hotel brought memories back for me because I stayed there during the Covid time we had to have the PCR test and so on. It was my first time in Thailand and I didn't even know about vlogs about Thailand by so many RU-vidrs.I started following you around a year ago and hardly missed your live streams. Now I'm going to be like you retiring by August this year and it's all thanks to you and following RU-vid.

Hey Peter, at 19:00 minutes into the video, you mention the Thai festival in Ealing, London. If you smile at Thai people in the U.K., their attitude here in U.K. is completely different. The first change will be as soon as they arrive in the U.K. The second change will be as soon as they get their U.K. citizenship. As soon as they get that, they don’t need you, they don’t want you, and you are pretty much left with a completely different person than the one who you knew when you first met them in Thailand all those years ago.

Peter you spoke about freelancer vs paying bar fine but for me the bigger protection is all the girls in the bars I knew had regular monthly health checks. Of course I always used protection but I always felt better with girls from the bars.

Peter, regarding the smiling back, perhaps it in the touristy areas where you get the smile back at you. I would assume they are just working with tourists at their work so they learned to be friendly to them in general. Or have you seen the same attitude also further from sukhumvit where mostly Thais reside? In my experience Thais not act the same toward other Thais so it might be just tourist thing.

Great stories Peter and thanks for reading and sharing them with us.the first story was great but I can’t understand people that do over stay and forget about there flight ✈️ back to there country.unbelievable and very unorganised attitude.how can you not remember when your flight is .second story well if you bring your Thai girlfriend/partner to live with you in the uk or anywhere in Europe then except a change from her .you have just westernised her.plane and simple.have a great week Peter and hope all goes well on the house front.regards damon 👍🏼

I totally agree with you Peter in regards to Thai people when they move to another foreign country, my wife is Thai but she's really down to earth and she was the one who brought that to my attention, I didn't realise it at first but it was very evident that they believe they are now better than other Thai's, I am sorry if anyone is offended by my comment but it's what we have experienced over the past 6 years, I am not saying all Thai"s are the same but the majority tend to fall in this category.

In regards to Thai people who live here and especially in London. I know quite a few who were probably at the festival in Ealing and to a certain extent. Some do change when they eventually come to live here, and attitudes change dramatically. Some will only want to know you if you can do them a favour and when it suits them. There are a few who are still very much in tune with their culture and are very respectful and are very grateful. I have some Thai friends who live here who are very genuine and kind, and they even say some of their own friends have pretty much left them out in the cold and only make contact when it suits them and for a reason. There was a time when one friend asked if I could bring some items back from Thailand from her family and would ask frequently, but now virtually does not even say hello or anything at all but seems more interested in snaring gullible loaded farangs for tonsil hockey and aerobics. I just hope my wife when she comes here does not follow suit.

When an Asian female in general move from her environment to a Western country they do change and I speak from experience because I have dated a few that were from other parts of the world and once they made it to the Western world they slowly changed to where they became similar to the females in that environment eventually, of course things ended with each of those ladies because that's not the quality I was looking for but it was great while it lasted.

I love getting freelancers from discos, my favorite disco was CM2. I once met two Russian girls, and I indicated my interest in them, and they told me that they were expensive. I asked how much? 6K short time was the reply. I thought for a moment, and I replied, okay, I'll take both of you. Let's go.

Peter my first time in Thailand February just gone by the Thailand bug has me now…what a time I had the ladies but I have be careful heart strings will be getting pulled I met a nice Thai girl well woman 36 years old just what I was looking for showed me very place I needed to be shown had a blast with her I can’t wait to go back and meet up with her again for another blast…we had some go time together with the aerobics ….man get me back on a plane again fast….

Peter, regarding the lack of smile among Thai in UK, I have noticed the same here in Germany. There is a lot of Vietnamese, Chinese and some Thai and Filipino here, and especially the Thai rarely smile and seems to be grumpy. Vietnamese and Chinese have a large communities and seems to be doing ok. A Filipina in Philippines said she did not like to talk to her relatives in Germany due to change in attitude and becoming arrogant. However now she is moving to Canada so it will be interesting to watch how this will affect her, she is around 50, so her Filipino culture is well cemented, but the harsher climate will for sure grind her mentally.

It's much better to rent out your house than sell it as you always have that asset and an income. Peter only sold as he is getting divorced but has other rental properties as well. Once you get very eldery and if you cannot look after yourself then what? Thats the big question.
