thank you all so much for watching me blend 2 colours on some lovely polwarth wool and dizzing it off in 2 ways hope this helps in some way. much love and hugs xxx Created by InShot:inshotapp.page...
It's entertaining and meditative to watch the drum carder go. You're adorable, and I love watching your expertise here. I never realized that the reason the licker on gets clogged with fiber is because people go too fast.
@@sadiesspincraft6319 It has taken a bit of practice, but I find keeping the diz close to the drum and just pull the fiber off. Draft if you have too much.
Oh my….. I haven’t seen anyone else do this “slow-down” !!!!!! Others just charge ahead and crank the handle!!!!!! This is NOT how it works! Thank YOU!
Thank you so much for this very clear demonstration on how to use a drum carder. I have been using my own all wrong and very frustrated with it. Now, thanks to you I'll be brave enough to tackle her again... 😄 Subbed.
I am so glad I could help I was in the same situation as yourself and did a bit of playing around and digging around for info on the best way to use one I tried all methods and this was the best result for me, thank you so much for watching and becoming part of the fiber family much love and light xx
Hi. I would like to see the jar dying please. You made me want to order some more Polwarth btw. I love Polwarth. I need to try that back and forth dizzing too because I have only done the continuous way before.
I love polwarth too and I'm now looking forward to doing the jar dyeing now and with the dizzing I do believe have more than one way helps just incase you use something you have never used before or not as often xx
P. S. I found Mary from Camaj Fiber Arts video Diz demo from a Drum carder very good & How to diz fibre from your Drum carder JK fibre Arts I Love polwarth & what a beautiful blend Thanks for sharing Take care ❤
Hi Sadie if you dizz from the back of your carder it comes off easier as it’s going with the way the tynes are facing & the drum turns easier also you don’t have to struggle to hold it all in your hand you can just let drop down as there’s nothing for it to get caught on Hope this helps you ❤
@@sadiesspincraft6319 yeah I guess we all have to find what works best for us I struggle with it as well lol I will give your way a try as well I find it’s so much easier to diz off a hackle so I guess I just need to practice on the carder Thank you for your reply 💜
I'm really good thank you just trying to juggle family, work and youtube but I'm getting there but life is really good thank you how are you doing Marie xx

Hello lovely Sadie 👋🏻 Loved watching this. Reminded me of the J2O Glitterberry drink as you made it but it ended up more golden than I was imagining it was going to end up. Not sure if that’s because I’m watching on my phone. Feels like an autumnal vibe 👍🏻Love to see your creative process.❤️
Hey keeli darling lovely to here from you and thank you so much and it the colour could be weird from my end too as I can see the stripes of each layer so it could be a mix of both. It probs will be a bit more like what you imagined as I will be adding some sort of plant fiber and some Angelina too. Much love and light ❤️ x
