As a Class A OTR driver for years. There were several nuggets dropped in this video. Some similarities, and a few differences. Thank you for making this video. Love to see the knowledgeable teaching the seekers. Much respect from Texas.
Thanks for all the detailed information you have provided in this video. I like your way of explaining every point. Keep sharing such great videos in the future also.
Amazing breakdown, very much appreciated! I am superrrrr excited and can barely contain myself lol so I’m checking once again that I’m doing everything right and exact.
I gave you a like in the first 3 minutes because you know what you are talking about. Thanks for the great video best of luck to you brother. I just retired at 65 as a building maintenance man. Never really worked in the delivery business but it's always good to know things. Did about 100 Uber trips after my regular job, didn't see any money. Also drove a NYC TLC black car.👍🇺🇸🇨🇺
New subscriber🙂 I'm looking to start a new cargo business and I've been binging on your videos since yesterday! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and they way you share it. You are great!! 💯
Much love fam word bond. You got that Motown or ohio swag for real. I've learned a plethora fam. I'm a trucker by trade ready to jump off into cargo. Much love and keep rising to the top !
🤣Much love Fam.. I always get I seem to be from somewhere different.. I really appreciate you brotha✊🏾 yeah I cant imagine what it takes to fill up a semi rite now🤦🏾♂️
True, them just want you to stay put and be loyal to them so they look good and have reliable transporter on stand by to cover their loads. Have good reputation at the expense of drivers sitting, which means not making money. Got to be ready with options.
I really want to thank you for making this video. I am researching this particular business field to go in. So I will continue to learn and get more knowledgeable so that I can come out the gate running in 2023. I actually have access to a cargo van that I can use. I am just trying to figure out if I want to stay local or go over the road with this business. I most definitely don't want to be driving during any kind of weather storms or conditions. I am in Ohio. 😂 Again Thank You
Much love Fam and Blessings on your journey with which ever way you choose to go‼️💯 Yeah brotha that extreme weather will have you thinking about some stuff🤣✊🏾
Aye salute to u G I do the same thing me and my cousin started our own company wit the Dodge Ram pro master 2500…everything u saying sound correct to me…especially the part about using multiple carriers and not sitting for three days type thing. We have our own authority but we still use 9 diff Carrie’s like empire national and home land. The key is to keep that van rolling Fr. This def some god advice I can vouch that. Check out army of five we have some videos too but everything he said is legit
Hi This one of rare times I can't hold myself from commenting. Overall, it is a great video. I have watched a lot of videos of Cargo Van business, and this is the best. Very transparent. Some of them will hold very important information. Instead, they throw bait fishing for people to purchase their products, such as startup packages and such. A lot of pros than cons. The only con is the language, very street one. However, that can be justified as you were speaking naturally!! Great job, and may Allah bless you .
Foul language a sign of HIGH intelligence. I bet you didn't learn that in your holy book. I bet. How about just appreciating the information and being thankful that your "Allah" has allowed you such grace.
It seems like what bothered you is the word Allah. Otherwise, the whole purpose of my comment was to express my appreciation for the information, and the creator loved it.
I hope y'all listening cuz this is the best way I think and usco that is if you got your own van ya feel me you can make some money and you gotta be willing to drive and I mean no bull sheeting if you don't like to do you already done land lover in one place
When I started 10 years ago with my cargo van I made sure I had capital to work got my van plus had about 18k to last me until i got paid which was 21 to 30 days after completion of delivery now I got 4 sprinter vans running outta state and 3 bobtails also wen I started I gave myself a weekly salary the rest went to my company I never used a factoring they be robbing u sometimes 😅
Explain. Btw I watched a few of your vids love the channel, I want to get into the cargo van Owner Op side but I don’t know where to go after I get my van. I want to be independent but I think becoming part of a team that already have experience is a great way to start
Honestly I think the 15% is worth it if you're using their insurance. How much does commercial insurance cost though a month? I wouldn't mind buying a truck and having normal insurance on it and just paying for gas if commercial insurance is that much.
Cuz your the realist an straight to the point that's what is needed YES cut the other joint out I'm about to get in the game an that's all I needed to hear
Much love fam‼️ I really appreciate you I got tired of watching videos where they keep beating around the Bush and not keeping it Solid Trying to sell you something✊🏾
tanks for the information bro I appreciate, do you have information for the companies provide al requirements and the insurance, I have my van parked in my dry way, and me to looking for job also, but I want to independent job like you. many tanks Im keep looking on face book dispatchers.
Great video, very useful, thank you. How many pallets can you fit into your van please? And what roughly you can make per week with the size of your van? Thank you.
how do you get started running under a carrier if your renting a sprinter van ? or should I just wait on it until I get my own authority ? hoping by the end of July to have all that completed. running courier and Amazon flex. I have several years of logistics and dispatch experience, but it's been a while. started getting into courier work when my husband got laid off from the union hall for a bit now thinking we'd be able to replace his income if not surpass it doing transport work. I live in NJ so I'm pretty sure we can do regional northeast runs and make it work , there are probably about 8 Amazon ( wanna do box truck relay as well through Amazon and using day and other boards ) warehouses just within 30 mile radius from us, plus a ton of other warehouses.
I have a cargo van in Illinois and want to learn this business after being laid- off? How is the business for woman? I want to know are you doing the heavy lifting? I also have a 2500 pickup truck with a snow plow and salt spreader and want to learn that business too.
Thanks for the video! Would like to know a few things, if we have our MC running two flatbeds and would like to get a sprinter and to hire a driver. What to do in this case correctly ? 1.The Sprinter doesn't require MC ,but the Insurance is under our MC? 2.How to get the driver as contracor?does he need to open LLC or SP?
From what I know if you/your company provides the equipment, you have to hire the driver as an company employee, But im thinking and don't quote me on this, but if you find a way to rent your van out to a driver as a 1099 contractor there may be a loop hole in a way for that..
Brother, what can you recommend? I have a 1997 Ford 14 foot box truck. I'm in the moving business, but the competition is very disastrous here in Orlando, Florida. What application do you recommend and do you think my 1997 box truck qualifies? I would like an application that I can choose the days that I would like to work and that could pay me quickly
Hi, you provided some great info for me as I'm just getting started in the business. Question about the mc and dot number. I was told by others if you're under 10k Gross weight it's not necessary, because if you have it and when you get your log book audit they will deactivate you as won't have one. Thoughts?
Nice! Yeah so its kind of a grey area, You technically only need DOT/MC if you want to book your own loads through shippers and brokers or you can just lease onto a carrier, but when you do get that audit and say Hey my equipment is under 10k pounds you may be good.. Its a real good question..
What kind of company will take someone on? I found one but they charge 23% but it’s exclusive and I need to put on their signage…Another company is going to pay out 60%… No Carfo insurance needed just commercial insurance. I am also in California but willing to do OTR for 4-6 weeks in the Midwest… Big carriers won’t take me on being from California. Any tips?
I appreciate you taking the time out and spreading the knowledge a lot of valuable information I needed to know I found out about you through big CJ follow him as I'll be in the game soon
Rite on man, All I can say is start looking for work now, Look on indeed and craigslist in you area an just start reaching out to companies to lock something in.. Good luck man.
Bro I am trying to start and buying a new sprinter van soon. First question is it good to lease one or buy one. Secondly do I need MC number for sprinter van and an Authority. And what other documents do I need to start the business. Thank you.
My dispatcher I plan on using said for the cargo vans most companies will only require 750k since I won’t be carrying a lot of freight. Is that true for the most part?
as a class a driver, i had a lease purchase deal with a company that would lock me in on a TQL load for like 1.30 would send me a fake ratecon, turned out they got paid 1.68 on it. It turned out they did that alot to me and I didn't know it. Def gotta shop the market.
Wow, That is crazy. yea a lot of these companies greedy scammers. Instead of treating drivers fair and building a long term relationship they would rather burn through a 100 drivers a year..smh
Hi brother I love your videos Thank you so much for being so helpful How can I get in touch with a good dispatcher That can help me get business Thank you my friend
Love the content boss, been an owner/op myself running big trucks though. Switching over to sprinters soon. Btw, it’s “dis-patcher”, not “dis-Batcher”. Keep gettin that loot! 💪🏾
