But why am I showing you this?
I started to sing on January 2021 when I was 14.
That was something I always wanted to do but because of that it was also something I was always running away from. I basically lied to myself saying that i hate singing even though I exactly knew deep down that I want to sing well. But one day i saw how a certain person sang which eventually broke the barrier which was keeping me from doing it. I then started to practise everyday by myself through RU-vid videos because I couldn’t tell anyone. I had to force myself everysingle day to face my terrible terrible voice which always let me doubt if I would achieve a level of good singing. It was crucial. My voice was something I was most ashamed of. But I never stopped doing because I had faith. I wasn’t born with a singing voice but I decided to still chase after it because the chance of seeing the outcome is enough to convince me. I know my voice now is not brilliant but it’s better than yesterday and the day before and when I began. Im working on it. And I will get better.
Before I was able to sing a right note I said to myself that I believe that hard work can surpass talent.
And because of that I believe you can also.
What I showed you was a glimpse of my Vocal journey. You can furthermore witness my progress through the several covers I already uploaded here on my Channel.
I also started to release my own music where you can see how much my Vocals has transformed.

Check out my current SINGING VOICE with my newest song I made by myself: open.spotify.com/track/3lyTBB1JLuPsuj8vES3cjX?si=55528815086e4f6e And check out my current SINGING VOICE on my new Music video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WZtZ75X8grQ.htmlsi=2w4gn0ry6-r8nF4X I am so overwhelmed by the amount of support and touching words here in the comments also in my instagram Dm’s and my Email. All of that is just too much for a 16 year old like me to handle. 2 years ago, when I wasn’t able to hit one single note properly and just sounded like a tyrannosaurus rex laying eggs, I said with so much fear, doubt and desperation but most importantly with confidence that I will prove to myself and to the world that hard work can surpass talent. That 14 year old David said he will inspire millions of people one day. Fast forward to now 1320 beautiful people decided to follow my journey and 100.000 have watched this video with 6500 liking this video. Without God's help nothing would be possible. All Glory to Him. THANK YOU But this singing journey of mine is one of the few things I worked on disciplined I also worked on my music producing, composing, songwriting, editing and playing all the instruments such as Piano, Drums, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Electric Guitar and Saxophone skills in those 2 years where I also can make this kind of transformation video. I decided to work very hard on those aspects to create my own songs by myself. And Im very happy to tell you that 2 SONGS are already OUT “Daydream” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FfIGVAmKy7g.html distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/daydream “Stuck In The Paradise” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iTJUTm2pTOw.html distrokid.com/hyperfollow/davidtran/stuck-in-the-paradise I even put more effort into my songs because not only my singing skills are required but all of my other skills. Its especially really hard because I’m doing everything by myself. I know it sounds like an annoying Promotion but it would mean the world to me if you can support that since I’m VERY desperate because my lack of marketing skills. So please feel free to E-mail me: davidtran06@web.de Or DM me: instagram.com/david.tran06/ Also I saw many comments saying that I should work on my belting because it sounds like I’m screaming. Thank you so much for pointing out and also giving me tips! I am no brilliant singer yet I do know that. I know what I need to work on. I will get better trust me. Since many people asked what I do to train my voice… What I did was watching A LOOT of RU-vid videos such as „how to improve singing“ After watching that I started to sing songs I love everyday and then realized where my weaknesses are in singing which was for example breathing properly and runs and riffs also singing high, falsetto and all that so I made a Plan. Like a workout plan. The RU-vidr “Jacobs vocal academy” saved my life he has a looot of videos of like “Chest voice workout, falsetto workout, runs and riffs workout“ and so on. So I made a Plan which consists a certain different vocal workout everyday. For example Monday: Chest voice Tuesday: Head voice Wednesday: mixed voice And so on… I also included the „daily beginner vocal exercises“ which I really recommend. Before every workout I did a vocal warm up also from “Jacobs vocal academy and after the actual workout I did a cool down. And after all that workout I sang many songs with Piano or guitar to practise actually singing songs. It’s very hard to force yourself every single day to do your plan which you will put together yourself. You have to be Consistent that’s key.

everybody's voice can sound great just need to find the right type for your voice. Not everybody can sing like Celine Dion/JB (and theres alot of them singing on the streets/bars) but that does not mean your voice cant be iconic(ed sheeran, dua lipa etc). Practice the extent of your voice, once you can use it on command just put soul and musicality then congrats your a singer. Fame on the other hand takes lots of luck and more.

I'm 54 now, started 19 months ago, It was a long painful RU-vid journey for me, loads of frustrations along the way, but here I am today and I can pretty much sing 95% of most songs now. If your going to do it, just save some cash and get vocal lessons. I managed to do it via RU-vid and Various Online Courses, but if I could go back in time now, 12 lessons would have given me enough to correct all the things I was doing wrong. I can now sing low, high, mixed voice, it all came together for me, so it is definitely possible, as long as you still have a head voice, i.e, can talk like mickey mouse, its not too late to be able to belt high notes, in a fuller sounding chesty mix, once you learn how to do it.
@HighTimeQ
@HighTimeQ Год назад
You can do it! I started a year or 2 ago. I sound a lot better than I did before It's all about doing the exercises and applying yourself. People will say stuff but keep going because a baby don't care if it looks foolish when it's learning to walk, it keeps going. You can do it. You have time on your side
@dbanksey216
@dbanksey216 Год назад
@@HighTimeQ Totally agree, and people need to realise, its not a quick process. It takes time, it takes dedication, you need to do the exercises Daily and most important, do them correctly. Breath Support, Resonance, Placement, pharyngeal are all things I wish I had learnt in the first few months, and done the exercises on the back of them. If you do the exercises without learning all that stuff first, 9/10 you will be singing from your throat and doing them wrong and getting no where. I wish I could go back 2 years and tell my younger self this.

@@farah-bk9lfno, don’t give up! Everybody can improve, with know-how and practice. Take some lessons with a teacher. If you’re having trouble with talking also, that probably means (but I’m guessing because I haven’t heard you) you are not breathing enough and not using your air efficiently. Speak and sing using your breath and air flow. Gently blow over your finger and make sure you have a similar airflow when singing. Take better breaths and speak/sing with energy. Again, I’m guessing. Good luck, hope it helps some. But I suggest voice lessons.

Hey man, it's normal to feel frustrated. I've been singing basically since I was born and took a bit of voice lessons. And I noticed that alot of ur problem really stems from ur anxiety. I recommend trying to relax even on high notes. It will feel a little awkward and counter intuitive since you wanna be louder and higher, but when you try to sing louder and essentially scream the song, it leads to poor control and technique. I hope this helps, keep it up king.

@@goldenhourss The ugly truth is that our recordings will always sound worse than what we hear 😔. But regarding support. Besides just learning songs and making sure to take breaths between lines. While breathing, you expand ur stomach but not ur chest. This ensures ur chest has breathing room and lets you have better control. If ur struggling to take in air fast while singing, another tip is to breathe with ur nose and ur mouth at the same time. I personally don't do this as I don't really struggle with breath management nowadays. Hope it helps

I don’t think anyone should ever be ashamed of their voice. You know the saying that the eyes are the gateway to the soul, for me, the voice is the gateway to the heart. This timeline of your voice is a reflection of how you’ve grown as a person, even if I don’t know what you’ve been through. My point is as humans we all grow, our hearts mend more easily as the more pain we feel the more we are able to come to terms with it and be stronger. We become better people much like our voice becomes better. The voice is a reflection of you, your identity and what you love, and from what I can hear… it’s bloody beautiful mate, keep it up ❤

@nel2670
@nel2670 Год назад
i know this was meant in a complimentary way and i'm not trying to criticise your analogy (although I guess that's what im doing), but personally to me that makes it sound like if your voice is ugly, so are you, your identity and what you love, which understandably creates more insecurity/shame. but the growth analogies are very nice and true, and I also believe David has a gorgeous voice
@LittleOwl2003
@LittleOwl2003 Год назад
@@nel2670 It’s not a subject of beauty, just because someone sounds slightly pitchy or has an unpleasant sounding voice, their voice is their voice, and the fact it is still their voice is what is beautiful, one’s own identity is still something to be proud of and plus voices can always be improved upon, how far it gets them is subjective. My point is there is no ugly voice, at least for me, think about it, sometimes especially in Musical Theatre or any kind of Acting, voices are all for the purpose of shaping the character so whether it is unpleasant on the ears, it’s still serving it’s purpose that sticks with you and perhaps endears you to it

Some of the best singers are the ones who just kept trying and practicing.. those who stick to it usually can sing in the end. There are very few natural singers. Selina was one. Elvis couldn't sing for crap and people told him to shut up when he was young.

Dude, your struggle and doubts/frustration throughout the video feel so relatable to me. I've been experiencing something similar by trying to learn how to make music on my own and trying to learn how to draw. I've also always wanted to learn how to sing and even though I would be starting 3 years later in life than when you started you've shown me that it is possible.

Hey David, just want to say how inspiring your story is. I always enjoy singing on my own, but always feel like I don't have any training, or just the perception that I can never do it. But your transformation proves otherwise. Love this. All the best man!

The fact that today I also didn’t wanna run away from my dream and starting following my first voice lesson on RU-vid and after practicing and recording I already felt like giving up. The universe doesn’t want me to quit lol. I totally relate to the feeling of being insecure and wanting to not tell anyone that I want to start singing. The problem is I don’t have a studio or the perfect time and place to sing freely like you do but I’ll still try.

This hits so close to home. I had been trying to learn to sing for years but I absolutely hated my voice and it wasn't until a year or two ago when I started watching more RU-vid videos and taking online lessons from a vocal coach that I became more comfortable with my voice. I was always told that "singing is a natural born talent" but now I've learnt that it's just another instrument that you can learn if you put in the effort. It wasn't until a year ago that I became comfortable uploading covers on RU-vid and I got the confidence after a karaoke night with my friends that were really supportive of me. I still have a long way to go and I'm not yet comfortable performing live or recording a "one-take" cover but this video has inspired me to keep pushing forward ❤. Thank you for sharing this, it's amazing to see how far you've come!

You are sooo brave, you truly inspire me. I have been wanting to sing since I was 16 yrs old and never followed that dream. Had a chance to join a vocal camp with Seth Riggs but life hit me with responsability to be a grown up and take care of myself, now at almost 35 I spend hours following my favourite artist and watching tons of covers, I try to sing along but i song like im killing a cat and my neighbors and wife probably have nightmares. Thank you for being soo encouring to the ones that dont have the valor. I applaud you for you hard work and persistance, you truly make me want to start doing this every day. You probably wont read this but you have move something within me to get off my ass and follow one of my dreams. Thank you so much I hope to see more videos of your progress, many blessings to you.
