I just lost my nephew 2 weeks ago from a bad car accident. My heart hurts for the parents of these young children, and everyone else that was hurt. I teared up watching this. 😢

True, but alcoholism is a disease and should be treated as such. She should not have had a license. I worked with a woman in her 60s, reeked of alcohol, kept a bottle in her desk, but otherwise an "ok" lady. I was young and worked as a temp for a maternity leave. The first week I was there, the woman backed her car into another coworker's vehicle.😮 I was afraid to say anything because I wasn't really an employee but always made sure to keep away from her vehicle.
I'm 99 percent sure she's a repeat offender who's received multiple slaps on the wrist, so why would she know any better, our lovely criminal justice system has made her believe she's all good to drive drunk
@@marciloni12 Possibly she didn't have a license. Alot of these perps have lost theirs and they keep driving anyway. Hopefully the media will identify the perp soon. There's no legit reason for the sheriff's department not to identify her.
There are no words for the suffering that lady caused.two young lives and thirteen people injured. For a few drinks. God rest those two children's souls.
She should be held to full accountability. I dont care if she's 66 or 26, she is at fault. Those innocent children who passed and the other children who survived and the parents and friends will live with this forever. Those babies didn't get 66 yrs of a life like she has had and she shouldn't be given any special sentencing because of her age. She knew when she got behind that wheel.
Interestingly, many states AGs and politicians of a certain bent will actually allow elderly prisoners to "retire" or age out of sentences. Commonwealth of VA does this, even murdurers; under guise of, age and health of of prisoner.

That’s the problem. The judicial system is not harsh enough on these drunk drivers when they kill people. What’s messed up is that every state has their own sentencing guidelines and degrees of guilt. One state will let the person go home, after such a horrific crash, and another state will not allow bail. I think all the states should have uniform DUI laws and penalties….and the penalties should be harsh when they involve the deaths of people.
Then go to your elected officials and demand change we need to change the laws and make the penalties stricter you get behind the wheel drunk or drugged you go to prison for 30 to life
Is there a fund to help with funeral costs if needed? Ive got an 11 year old. If she died it would put a big strain on myself and my husband to come up with funeral costs. I'd probably be mentally incapable of doing a lot immediately upon her dying. 2 children at once any age..... my god. How do we take a piece of this burden away from them?
I saw there was a gofundme set up but RU-vid won’t let people post links anymore. It says they have raised 100,000 so far. Which will cover the funeral and the left over money will go towards housing and medical expenses. The mom and older brother of the 2 siblings that were killed are in critical condition.
I will NEVER understand why they always protect the criminals in these cases...by holding their identity for days...Lord have mercy on these precious kids who died and the injured.

I was thinking of this on the way to work. These poor families, having to live with this for life. The poor kids who are dead now. It should be life in prison if you murder someone DWI. It should be permanent license suspension for your first offense.
