banjo kazooie is my favorite game. he never pulls out a gameboy. the only time is in the select screen. you don't even need to wait. it is just the animation. when you sit still, kazooie will just peck banjo's head.

I have 2, and they involve jumpscares. The first is pizza tower. If you open the game, and stay afk, without turning on the lights on the save select, the main character, peppino, will jumpscare you and close the game. The second is the full version of Five Nights at Treasure island. If you stay afk on the title screen, Mickey will jumpscare you and start night 1 automatically

Hey adamaru were you able to play the media release demo of FF16? I'd love to see you make a video on it since you've all but abandoned regular fortnite videos. If you didn't get the media access demo are planning to play the public demo (week of June 5th) & make a video on that? If you're not a FF fan you might like it, the combat is similar to devil may cry.

In SCP: Containment Breach, if you stay in the pause menu for too long you'll be forced out of the pause menu back into the game, and you'll get a message about not being able to hide.

I like in Metroid Prime how Samus will start looking around and your crosshairs actually move around too. Also I've never played Skyward Sword but I'm genuinely surprised to see Link falling asleep on a toilet in an official game.

Correction: In Gang Beasts, the octopus or kraken appears no matter what you do, even if you are attacking. Edit: I think it's the same with the other water maps, where the sharks also would attack you no matter what you do. Edit2: In multiversus or platform fighters in general they all have this type of thing

Also, for the I'm Outta Here one, Sonic 2 has a second idle animation where if you sit still for long enough after the tapping foot animation he'll eventually lay down on the ground and tap his knees in a similar fashion.

For Gang Beasts, it’s not being AFK, but how much time has passed in the round. The octopus appears after about a minute of fighting, and the sharks in the water levels after about 2 minutes.

Here’s an additional one In elixir (oculus 2) before the witch goes afk, she tells you not to touch anything. Which you are meant to do. But if you don’t, it starts off by saying something, then something again. After long enough it says something along the lines of “so yeah I’m the developer and I don’t know if you have noticed yet but you are meant to touch something” I don’t remember much because I did it 2 years ago but yeah

The gang beast ones just happens. It doesn't matter even if your AFK or not they still happen. Might as well say Ferris wheel, fan, and boat sinking are AFK occurrences , these were meant to be in the game.

NOOO you guys forgot prince of persia the two thrones! If you sit idle too long in normal prince form the dark prince will start mocking and belittling him! He will go so far as to try and physically move while being stuck as a talking voice in his head. Definitely deserved a spot on this list

You forgot Pepinno in Pizza Tower, if you don't turn on the lights when opening the game for 40 seconds, he jumpscares you and the game forcefully closes. You also got Devil May Cry 4. Dante looks at you with a gesture as if he's saying "Hey! C'mon! Do something!". And in another idle animation he falls asleep while standing. Look it up.

Another AFK secret is from a more recent game, Hi Fi RUSH. If you stay idle for too long in the customization room unlocked at the end of the game, Chai, the main character, will suddenly start shaking trying to keep his pose, but then gives up and takes a moment to breathe, take a break, then he goes right back to posing again. I haven't tested if any other characters do this, but I know for sure that he does after many minutes spent not knowing what outfit to buy him.

Spyro in both the original and the reignited trilogy has a couple afk animations that have always warmed my heart. From him grooming himself like a cat and then stretching to him just simply looking back and forth over his shoulders til he gives you a questioning look like "are you even there, player?"

In honkai star rail you don’t need to wait to get the animation just go on ur phone use the camera and choose the option in the top left to pick an idle animation

My favourite idle thing is in borderlands whenever you leave your character standing still too long they’ll just start ranting about something. I played Gaige in BL2 and after sitting for 2 minutes she started monologuing about how she got her robot hand because she accidentally cut her hand and decided to just get rid of the whole arm. So she sawed off her arm while he dad watched in horror and then built a new one

My personal favorite is Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope where Rabbid Mario will eat a giant piece of cheese or a piece of pizza (can’t tell which it is) while you’re moving other characters. There’s a Star Wars game where the main character starts trying to shave himself with his lightsaber. In Rayman 3, Rayman will start playing hacky sack with his torso. In one Lego Batman game, Batman will start playing around with his batarang.

in gang beasts, every map has something special. (and i get you just did thos ones) like the boat does a titanic sink, ferris wheel starts t fall apart with the deck, and the signs in trucks get faster. just a couple more for a vid.

In tf2, if you go into a match and afk for more than 2 minutes you have a chance of this special event happening where someone starts a vote kick because you were being ideal, if this said event doesn’t happen within 5 minutes you get automatically kick from the server but you can by pass this my simple slights moving at the last second if you want the special event, though at that point it’s not really afk if you need to move

Another afk thing i know in a game is in bendy and the dark revival. If you just sit there for about 30 minutes after the first cutscene in the game and don't get out of your chair then Audrey (the playable character) will get back to work and the game just ends. Since you never go to start the adventure

I think Sega were the ones to really push this. Yes there was Sonic tapping his toes but Earthworm Jim was the one that did the idle actions the best. Even Dr. Grant in the Jurassic Park Sega Genesis game would do stuff.
