I am an American and I have lived in Curitiba off and on for 30 years. It’s a great place to live and offers a very decent lifestyle.

Os estados do nordeste como ceará, Rio grande do Norte, Maceió e recife são sem dúvidas os melhores lugares do Brasil para quem quer morar em uma cidade bonita, bem planejada, com excelente gastronomia diversa, história autêntica desde a fundação do império Luso, as belezas do nordeste são simplesmente inigualáveis com o resto do país, a arquitetura lusitana e história de 500 anos, praias e a natureza exuberante, a imensa diversidade de frutas que não se acham em outros estados, além de um povo autenticamente brasileiro sem influência de imigrantes estrangeiros.

I wouldn't say the order is correct, but as a Brazilian, I believe a more realistic ranking for the top spots would be: 1 - Curitiba, 2 - Florianópolis, 3 - Jundiaí, 4 - São Paulo, and 5 - Rio de Janeiro. However, this depends a lot on your lifestyle. If you're considering moving with your family or if you're single, looking for a good job and a high quality of life, Curitiba is the best choice. On the other hand, São Paulo is ideal primarily for those focused on their careers and is better suited for singles or young couples. But if I were very wealthy, I'd consider moving to Florianópolis Island.
