Nice video .... a question about the extra buttons on the right side (next to the windscreen button) Is that for the fog lights and to drive backwards? Is that possible to place afterwards?
Does the bike play bluetooth music through the bike speakers? I couldn't figure that out. Also, what is the USB for? It did nothing when I plugged my iPhone in.
The only way you can play music through the speakers is by using the auxiliary headphone jack next to the USB. The USB is for charging your phone or iPod or you can purchase an adaptor from BMW (Part#61 12 2408012) to allow the wonder wheel to control your iPhone through the USB to lightning port. If you want to do Bluetooth music I recommend pairing it directly to your helmet com system. I hope this helps clarify. Email me lee@hermys.com if you need the adaptor. Thanks for watching.
How different is this from a 2012 model? I'm in the process of buying one (from out of state) and riding it 900+ miles home and am trying to "get to know" it ahead of time. Thx
They are very similar. There might be a few small changes, however it should be more than enough to familiarize yourself with the controls. Thanks for watching.
I don’t think you have the digital speedo in the older models. I don’t know which year that started from tho. Mine is 2011, and I don’t seem to have that option. I know from around 2017 you have stuff like this.
Your best option would be to play streaming music from your phone directly. If you want to listen to satellite radio, you can play that using the XM radio app. Thanks for watching.
