Near here “im sure something can come out of it” 11:14 thank you! I was trying to find a way to increase my electric fence height and this is just that!
Am im the only one that has problem woth building over water? I tried to make platform over the lake, but as soon as i come near to it, my fps drops to 5-6?
@@RIPDIESEL dunno, i started playing new save when 1.0 released and thought of building on water, then that fps problem occurred (btw it wasnt on frozen)
1.0 has a lot of nice new features, but they also removed many. I dislike how loot doesnt respawn, the massive nerf on guns, sickness system, and many more annoying changes. The worst of all, I cant say I like the new ending cutscenes. They feel rushed and low effort. Many things simply dont make sense.
@@explodingcows54 Some people just wanna build and have fun while others enjoy the challenge. Loot respawn should be a toggleable option like construction animations in gameplay.
You can not only build atop of the digsite bunkers, but if you'll get a rope gun you could throw a rope inside to the hacth and the floor and if you'll do it correctly, you could transport logs in! Have to get friends to load collision inside or build the log storage tho as otherwise the logs will fall through the bunker. By having a friend inside you could also get into the bunker by bugs or cheats without triggering the bunker load itself thus you could not only stand there bur also build in it as you also have avoided custom building block! P.s. some bunkers as Maintenance A does not have collision for the ceiling thus you could shoot the rope out and get back to the bunker when someone is inside. Beware of falling through to the void tho 😂
The first tip is foiled by Kelvin when you set him to maintain the base. He'll chop the tops into spikes when you place any walls. I think the AI is working together on this one!
You can also use different size planks on the rope bridge for a more varied look (also different sizes on the same bridge). And what still not many people know; you can build a higher fence. When having placed the first row of fence, instead of looking to the top of the sticks to place a stick on top (this will create an effigy) look for the base of the stick and place the stick “inside” the bottom one. The stick will be placed on top but it will be a normal/fence stick instead of an effigy.
Perfect video! Thank you for all of the ideas! I'll start to make a bridge between my house(customized) and tower (which ı built from the guide book). Really cool ideas! thank you again.
My favorite defensive wall isn't to use palisades but to put a log down on the ground and put 2-3 levels of quarter logs with logs across. The enemy ai can't climb over the wall and you can shoot and spear through the gaps in the walls. It costs a lot less logs and the walls are actually stronger hp wise.
Yes, and I'm not trying to blow smoke up my rear end or push another video on you, but this video will change everything for you building wise in the game. It shows how to build without any supports in the way. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fhyQvrdONLY.html
I tried to replicate your method to leave the 90° grid and got it working. Any way to have it aligned with the grid(as it used to be), so that it is not completely free but possible to make like 12.5° angles and such? Otherwise nothing will join up with preexisting grid.
Maybe its in the video or widely know, but in multiplayer you can throw logs through caves (i've only did this in the 3d printer cave) It seems you cannot build in caves but you can place shelves.
@@svenvansteelandt7353 yeah i know you can get them down there, they added a failsafe to prevent a glitch a few patches ago that the game won't let you build with them though ie: a wall or floor etc
Yeah, so I found out that you didn't need solar panels for every light or appliance you could just hook up all your lights to one solar panel and make sure they are all connected
Ive created a two stories house (the same ive always done lol) the first story is very tall and spacious and stays warm, the second story is much smaller and shorter, yet its always cold :/
@@RIPDIESEL I'm pretty sure it was patched. Couldn't get it to work on Singleplayer, P2P Multiplayer, or on a Dedicated Server. Tested with and without mods.
Spent three hours trying to get the floating base method to work the steps are nor difficult to follow bur the end result is not the same I dosnt allow me to take the logs from underneath the top log mabe they stealth patched it in the last update
Hey Ripdiesel i like your tutorial vids and just overall content but could you maybe make an video where you show the commands you use to build or just let us know in the comments ?
Yeah what commands do you want to know about? In this video the infinite logs are loghack, the infinite stones are stonehack. If you're wondering why I don't have building animations, after you complete the game you unlock an option to turn them off.
@@Tokineki when you beat the game after 1.0 came out, you'll unlock creative mode, as well as options/gameplay/ all the way at the bottom there will be an option to turn off building animations.
I might notice that I can't find the seventh Artifact. Do I have to start the game from scratch? Because I already finished the game a long time ago. I hope I don't have to start the game again with 70 hours of play. Thanking you from France.
it has been confirmed that if you have a save from early access that they recommend starting a full new game due to changes to the map, locations, spawns, lore drops, cutscenes etc. this also includes all the artifact pieces too
There's 2 different ways. The first is to beat the game and unlock creative mode. The second is with console commands...when loaded into a save, simply type cheatstick and then press f1. when the commands come up type loghack on and hit enter.
@@Blixizm yeah type cheatstick on normal screen (you have to do this everytime you reset a save) press f1 and the command menu will come up. then in the command menu type loghack on
Everything in this video was recorded in patch 1.0, so if something doesn’t work, you missed a step. Structure debug doesn’t do anything other than show the name and value, the next step is what would actually do something
@@RIPDIESELI figured out why I wasn't seeing anything with toggle structure, my game bugged out and was hiding ui. But I'm telling you they fixed the stone walls thing, maybe with a hotfix? Maybe only games that were started after 1.0? You can start laying down the wall but after one line the indicator goes away.
amazing video, thanks for all theses tips. But can you do a tuto how to get the console in the game, i don't know how to have it. Please !!!! HELLP MEEE
@@wazaaaaa1208 type cheatstick when you're loaded into a save then press f1 to bring up commands, you have to do this everytime you exit and go back in
No, I have things floating from older methods that are still there after almost a year of patches/hotfixes. Everything will stay exactly as is after a patch.
Thanks! There's a few ways. The first is when you complete the storyline you'll unlock creative mode. The second is using console commands (when loaded into a save, type cheatstick and then press f1 to bring up commands. when the commands come up type loghack on.)
