I am a longtime watcher of Dev from the place... I must say I am addicted to this channel, love the content, straight to the point. No over the top advertisements, sub, like, etc. I am sub and like all videos. Good work.
@@PowrDragn You do an amazing job! :) I don't even play standard yet I watch every video you and Dev put out lol something relaxing about watching homies talk about Magic :)
Could you share that list and how it's been doing? I have W/B and W/B lifegain (I'm really hoping a few more bats makes the latter better and the deck stays playable) and was going to go into B/G and was thinking of adding white or blue, to either make it more midrange or control.
Farsight Ritual is great being played along side deduce since you get to draw a card at your oppos end step and create a clue that can be used for the bargain.
@doncosmo5416 I've been testing Farsight Ritual for rotation proof builds, and I can say that while it doesn't have flashback, it's still very good. If you're playing Izzet and have Chandra, it's even better.
I love the All Will Be One pick, that card has been really fun this set with cards like Bristly Bill and Railway Brawler. Ive been playing it in a sort of Jund crime/ramp shell and its actually done surprisingly well for me. Having a couple Ob Nix in there as an alternate win con is nice too.
I'm just hoping green will be good lol. There's some really strong threats at the top end and we have some strong engines in the form of Beanstalk and Spelunking, but other decks are using those better than green itself. It just feels much more vulnerable to removal than other colours at the moment
If you're playing green creatures, there's plenty you can do and that have been solid for a while. You might just be focusing on the wrong things. Or possibly trying to put card together that don't really work well together. If you ever want to workshop stuff, feel free to hop in the Discord (link in the description).
@@breakthecode4634 I dunno, my statement is still the same. I think there are multiple ways to play green on the ladder. It's been more than fine in BO1 games. And even today I saw something from Ashlizzle playing in BO3 and doing well with it. Would I push it for tournaments...not sure. Probably not. But on the ladder it's more than playable. But in reference to the OP, trying to do stuff with cards like Spelunking and Beanstalk leads you down an entirely different road. Trying to put those with other creature-y things green does is not going to go well. That's what I was referring to.
I'm already using most of the green cards so I get what you're saying here. I've been wanting to work All Will Be One into a deck but I find it hard to cast and always comes in too late. I think there could be a deck for it though. Somehow. lol
7:45 - the thing about Bloomburrow Offspring tokens is that they do actually have a mana cost on the token, which means their mana value is not zero and probably also not 1, so this might not be that effective.
Great video 🤘🏼 Drannith Ruins is probably closer to “kicker 3” right? Since you’re losing out on 3 mana to use it. Still seems like a good fit in the next set though
No witnesses is a great pick for cards that will get better with rotation. It's interesting that it came out with MKM, and to me that shows they are thinking multiple sets ahead when designing new cards. Something to think about when evaluating cards in the future
@kevingrisler4123 No Witnesses is a lot of fun. Day of Judgment arrives in standard later this year, and I could see it getting as much play. Some control players don't want to give their opponent a clue.
@@KhordLizardMage this may have been an Arena bug, but when I had both solved the triggers stacked so that I discarded my hand twice and ended up with no cards. You should be left with three cards, but I haven't tested it again or brought it to a judge group to be sure.
Most of the decks I wanted to play in the past year had either graveyard, or some other synergistic element that it often did feel unfair to play against Farewell. I played with the card for awhile too and I think it’s costed correctly, but it will be nice to see how things fair without having any bonus effects tacted onto the format’s wrath effects.
