While on a pilgrimage with our priest in Italy we saw the Eucharist miracle in Orvieto. It was the most beautiful sight I have ever experienced. There are no words to describe how it made me feel.

i'm year late on this but they were talking about padre pio i went to a very well known cemetery in the area i live in that has a cross in the back that people go to and pray at shortly after my dad was terminally diagnosed with cancer. I was there with a friend and her little daughter and while we were silently praying as toddlers do her kiddo was just spinning in circles and trying to run around. the first thing that happened is as she was spinning around she looked up at Jesus on the cross suddenly got very still and did not break eye contact with Jesus for the rest of the time that we were there. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up a man was standing there and he said to me (keep in mind i told no one but my friend who and why we were there) "I want to pray with you for peace for your dad Howard" we prayed together for my dad and he said "these are for your dad" and handed me a padre pio medal and prayer card both of which my dad was burried with as well as accidentally my rosary with water from Lourdes...as much as i was like ahhhh my rosary i didn't have the heart to go "ummm he's not supposed to be burried with my rosary". but as i was leaving a lady stopped me and told me that if that guy prayed for or with me it was coming from God, that he was always there everyday praying and he just seemed to know things from God. I was like yeah never told anyone here no one here knew me and he knew my dad's name.

I am a pentecostal pastor and this is my guilty pleasure. I love to see Christians, who love Jesus discuss their faith and struggles in a entertainingly authentic way.

I was a singer and had been trained to be an opera singer. When I decided to join the church choir the people that were already in the chorus were happy. Then came the Christmas season and when I was asked to sing a solo suddenly other people in the choir were very upset that I young person who was relatively poor and raising my daughter alone because my husband had cheated on me and the church has been very helpful for me and my daughter I remained faithful to my marriage. The others in the choir decided that because I didn’t give as much money to the church that I should not be given a solo that it should only be given to people who have more money and provide more to the church. So I left the choir and will not go back to it because I don’t like being admonished for having a gift that was given to me by god.

I won’t say I used to be Catholic, but I lost interest in the church with all the bad priests around, but I do love you guys, you make me feel like I should maybe go back to church, thank you all for your great show

I knew the late Paul Newman personally. I used to race against him. He feigned atheism when he was young, obligatory for a pseudo-intellectual in Hollywood. He started to turn when he played Frank Galvin in The Verdict, a personality that actually was closer to his own rather than the cocky types he played earlier in his career. He was no atheist at the end, and was developing a curiosity about Catholicism. He got very emotional when I told him I was praying rosaries for him a few weeks before he died. I have faith he was not beyond the reach of God's mercy.

How times have changed. Back in the 50’s many well known actors and actresses were proud of their Catholicism. There was a TV show where they would say the rosary! Too bad the media has turned so anti-Christian.

The problem is that there are lots of “Catholics” in Hollywood and Politics who we don’t want representing The Catholic Faith because they support things like abortion and contraception and gay marriage etc. we don’t want people to get the wrong idea about The Faith. Now I pray that these men and women live out their faith authentically and believe all the doctrines of The Faith but there are many who at the moment do not and we don’t want people to get confused who don’t know better about what The Church teaches. That’s the only problem with certain celebrities being held up or advertised as Catholic. We should support them where they are correct and lovingly teach where they are not so that they can be that light set upon a hill for the world in a very special way. By the way HUGE fan of Mark Wahlberg he is a great Catholic man to look to. May Kobe Bryant and his daughter Rest In Peace under the perpetual light. Pointed out to me in scripture The Last Supper and I Am The Bread Of Life. Christ says I am. Not because man says I am or not. They were going to stone the woman to death. This was far beyond just a correction. Jesus stopped them, but their own guilt. However... We are called to give a correction between right and wrong. We are to judge with righteous judgement. John 7:24. I feel Jacqueline tends to blur the two together. Interjectoring indirect disapproval. When people try to speak to me about John 8:7. Let me preface my comment by stating I have a plank to remove from my own eye, and that I’m not condemning any *persons* here. 16:41-17:27: You’re kidding, right? The whole holding-hands-during-the-Our-Father phenomenon has been around for at least 15 years. I used to do it myself - until I found out a couple of years ago that it’s a Protestant-inspired spirit-of-Vatican-II modernity (and thus NOT CATHOLIC). 18:37-18:41: If Bp. Sheen and Martin Sheen ever meet, I think that Bp. Sheen will say that he’s flattered by Mr. Sheen’s name change...and then rebuke Mr. Sheen for being on the non-Catholic or anti-Catholic sides of so many issues. 22:59-23:37: Mr. Springsteen’s Catholic faith is intertwined in his music? Oh, REALLY!? I’ve heard more of his songs than every other non-fan whom I know, and haven’t detected that. Dave Morrison of Blue Collar Logic (on RU-vid) compared a Chuck Berry song to a Bruce Springsteen song last year, and Mr. Berry’s song was hands down the more Catholic of them. 23:43-24:28: All of those Hollywood types who are “trying to make a difference while flying under the radar” should follow Jim Caviezel’s lead. Why do people distinguish Catholic from Christian as they are separate things?

When discussing prominent Catholics, it isn't nit-picking to call out when their actions and beliefs strongly contradict Church teaching. We are called to be HONEST. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira call themselves Catholic, but both of them nearly stripped naked last night during the Super Bowl halftime show. Practically every celebrity discussed in this Catholic Talk Show episode supports abortion and gay marriage. Gwen Stefani says she wants to marry Blake Shelton in a traditional Catholic wedding, but until they can do that, they're going to shack up. Martin Sheen now plays a gay man in a relationship with Sam Waterston in "Grace and Frankie". I could go on. Believe me, as a writer myself, it pains me to bring up these things. There is no doubt that the vast majority of the people discussed in this episode are very talented. But to listen to those presenting this episode, every single one of the artists discussed are ready for canonization. The hosts of the Catholic Talk Show owe it to their audience to be more honest with us.

It looks like Latin is slowly returning to Mass. I was watching a Mass the new Archbishop of Portland in Oregon, Archbishop Sample, celebrated the Mass in Latin. Afterward, he said he never studied Latin in the seminary and he is learning it for the first time. Now that Latin is an accepted option for the new form of liturgy, Abp Sample is asking his priests to learn Latin and be able to celebrate Mass in Latin. He won't accept the excuse from a priest that he never learned Latin.

I’ve just watched Cliff Richard in concert here in London. Cliff is one the biggest stars here in the U.K. over the last eight decades and still packs out venues whenever he performs, e.g. The Royal Albert Hall. The U.S.A. is about he only country he couldn’t break into. Cliff is not a Roman Catholic but he is very open about his Christian faith, and howit helped him through his ordeal when he was accused of horrible things and successfully sued the B.B.C.. He received moral backing from many friends including Elton John. He Has released Gospel albums and is open about his faith. He now lives in comparative anonymity in the States. I know the actress Diana Hyland received Extreme Unction right before her death from breast cancer. Dick Van Patten sought out a priest he knew from the local Parish to administer the rite. He knew she was ill but not that she was dying. He was visiting a friend in the same neighborhood and and said to his wife "Let’s visit Diana before we go home." Upon learning that she was dying he immediately arranged for a priest to tend to her soul. For those that may not remember, Diana Hyland was Joan Bradford, Dick's co-star on Eight is Enough and died after appearing in 4 of the first 5 episodes. 21:05

At most of these Masses, the video and sound follow the Sacred Ritual of The Holy Eucharist, and my entire being fills with warmth, comfort, and joy, of which all of you shared this Divine Glow. The devil likes to torment me, teasing me that "I'm hooked on serotonin or whatever brain chemical produces this EUPHORIA, and it is NOT a commune with Jesus". YOU HAVE CONFIRMED it is GENUINE.
