I'm actually from WV. (Savage Divide in real life) I've been to all these places and live around a good bit of them. Replace the scorchers with methheads and I'd say Bethesda nailed it!
yeah I'm from WV and a couple of my friends play this game, a good bit of them are mad that there wasn't any "representation" which basically means theyre mad that nothing from our county was in the game
The ultimate cloth location I found recently!! Fast travel to Summersville. The blue house you are facing is LOADED with burnt books! 279 burnt books inside this house. Don't forget about the piles of books on the back porch. Summersville is located South of Helvetia down the river just before you reach the New Gad empty lake bed. 279 cloth per day
Another tip that new players may not know. Scrapping weapons also gives you mods for the weapons and armor you scrap. IMO its the best way to get mods for guns because some are pretty uncommon drops and some you cant buy.
Just a couple of minor additions, for Cloth the Morgantown Airport Event "Collision Course" The Airdrop Case has 100 Prewar Money and for Early Wood there is TONS of wood on the Hillside Leading down from the Vault 76 Entrance to the Lumberyard to the south I typically get over 300+ wood from there with the Woodcutter Perk enabled, and for Lead there is Lots of Lead Weights in the Greenw Country Lodge just outside Flatwoods as well as at Charlestown Firestation, The Prison, and on top of the Elevator down near Watoga and the Weights scrap directly to Lead Scrap and so do not require Smelting with Acid as is needed with Lead Ore
Huge fan of Fallout 4 but waited forever to start playing 76 because of all the craziness when it was first released. Actually forgot about it until recently and finally purchased it and now having all of the old Fallout 4 feelings come rushing back. Only level 33 right now but just wanted to say thank you for making the video, extremely helpful for a new player in 76.
Another tip along with the Well Rested: do The Path to Enlightenment along with eating Cranberry Relish to stack up top +20% xp boost. Leveled up so much in the triple xp weekend with this tip
Marc Griner I went to the Berkeley springs station and there was a news paper on the counter were she normally is so I just checked there and there she was
I just wanna say how remarkable it is to discover you're still putting out content after all these years. The last video I ever saw from you was over 15 years ago. I cant remember what game it was, I think it was CoD? I'm not sure. But I definitely remembered your name. My mind is a bit blown right now, like I was kid when I was saw your way back videos.
Imagine exploring a dark building, eerie and unnerving, you turn the corner.. And some jerk wearing the Fasnacht Man Mask is standing at the end of the corridor. Just standing there. He draws a cleaver... He lets out a blood-curling screech, charging you head-on. Then he gets a face full of buckshot cause he's charging a shotgun wielder, with a cleaver.
As for more advanced players... Plastic can also be found massively in Watoga high school, and lead at the very beginning of Charlie Silo ( directly scrappable, not ore, so... No need for acid. ) :) Good job with this video , thanks !
I have been subbed since your original intro where you smash through the door. Really should bring that back xD Great video man, helped me since I'm returning to this game after like a year and a half off

Thanks for this video! I just got 76 a few days ago in the sale & it’s very, very different to what I’m used to in 4…still trying to work somethings out but vids like this are a life saver.
Tip i didnt know as a new player: on the runs mentioned also get the globes & typewriters for screws, pencils for extra lead and clipboards for springs :)
toasters and hotplates are a must(circuitry), abraxo for fiberglass. any hides are good too, you'll be in leather for awhile, kickballs for rubber , globes are for cork, + baseballs , and anything with crystal
Yeah, thanks to playing Fallout 4, I knew to do that already. Except you cant scrap things in fallout 4 so it's a bit confusing at first. 76 is so much better for building things and scapping stuff to reduce inventory weight
Amazing video man. I just got the free trial of 76 from Steam till the 26th, and decided to buy it with the DLC since it was only $30. Veteran Fallout Player, but noob 76er. This was super helpful. One recommendation tho would be to split the video up into sections. Not 100% sure what it's called, but I see other content creators can add like "Lead Location", "Luck Perks", etc to the time bar of the video, making it super easy for people returning to the video to find certain pieces they're looking for. Like me, I'm gonna be looking back at where to get that acid, and that lead eventually I'm sure. Awesome video tho man! Got my like, and my sub for sure.
@@rilke.stassijns3706 haha like level 350 on my main and a alt toon at 250 level. Mainly log in and play events and new dlc while playing other things.
Brand New player to Fallout 76. I appreciate the video and subbed. I have been hesitant to get into the game due to its history, but it's now on Game Pass so I am checking it out. Thanks again.
Best place to get Cloth IMO is to do the "Collision Course" event at Morgantown Airport. It's pretty easy, you're just fighting off 5 waves of low level Scorched and the Vertibots drop off $200 of Pre War money that you can scrap into cloth.
About wood scraps, If you go to Gilman Lumber where some responders and Power Armor spawns are, you can collect roughly 10-15 wood from each protectron
I used to watch you all the time on Destiny. Definitely missed you when you went to Fallout 76. Came by at least one or twice a month since to watch your Fallout content even though I didn’t play. Now the game is free for a week, then like 1/2 off and I think I’m hooked now so I have a lot of catching up to do. Be seeing you a lot more brother. Take’m easy!
West Tek Research Center is a good place to farm plastic too, every laser rifle gives 10 plastic (with the scrapper perk card) along with other resources. And those supermutants have them fairly often. Used to have by camp near there for a while and it was quite profitable for someone who trades in resources.
Watched ur bloodied build vid, made a new char back when tri XP was out, got to lvl 105 today, and this is all I have to say it FREAKING SMACKS thx for that build vid. Hope ur situations gets better best of luck to ya.
I mean, if you're struggling to find wood and steel in any Fallout game I feel sorry for you. My advice is farm Charleston Fire Station for lead (weight room). A much more important item (crafting ammo) and not prevalent everywhere. Also, never pass up anything with screws in it!! Not sure I agree with wasting time chasing wood and steel around the map. Just about every lootable item in the game has wood and steel as components. Also, I would spend more time early game farming Mothman eggs. You can then cook/craft them into Mothman Omlettes which sell for a good amount of caps to vendors. Make sure to eat some grape mentats and equip any bartering perk cards you have before selling them. Added bonus is that you can get easy XP cooking all the Mothman eggs!
I am selling screws in Bulk. I have almost no use for any crafting materials I have because my weapon upkeep is so low due to Gunsmith 5 and Luck of the draw 3. Dont need to craft anything anymore either. The only thing I can grind for is Flux for the decontamination arch. I wanna start a side char but I cant get my stuff from one char to the next cause all my friends stopped playing.
For cloth, you can do the collision course event in Morgantown, the supply box that the cargobot drops has 100 pre war money in it, you can server hop and find boxes that were there previously by other players doing the event, or you can do the event yourself
Eliseo Mendez you just walk up to where the mortar is, but if someone has done it previously it won’t start, but there should already be crates there for you to loot
great video! i knew most of the tips but the lead ore combined with the PA is huge! i usually try to grab the weights at the charleston fire dept on every server, thats about 90 lead each time. now i will check out the mine. also, i forgot about the super duper perk, thanks for the reminder!
Hey man love the tips! A few of them I didn't know and I've been playing a long while! I hope your doing okay and you get safely into your new home soon. Stay strong brother! 👍 B.O.S. "Brotherhood of Steel"
Rifle gaming, with the new players coming into could you do a video of what order to do the original main quest lines in and where they so new players don't miss anything. I know I have accidentally jumped pasted part and received failed quests because of it. I have friends that are just getting into fallout and I'm starting a new character to be on a even field with them. If you could I would really appreciate it. Thank you for the content you make.
Pro tip for plastic and a bit of cloth. Watoga High School has a cafeteria full of plastic plates, forks, knifes and spoons. As well has a bunch of napkins that can be scrapped for cloth.
Tried a ton of lvl3 ranged picks... and the best I got was a vampires faster reload 150 damage resist while reloading gauss rifle... it's not spectacular but it was better than my non legendary xD I'm saving up everything and every bit of scrip for a new purveyor sale with the new legendary effects and I'll try to boost my luck xD
And if you like crafting and cooking try to take your hands on the super duper perk card in luck as well, It is very useful you can make a ton of food or drinks easily, just an example. Nice video, keep up the good work!
Definitely some useful tips. I just started playing with the free weekend and got hooked. I'm not sure exactly how much Wastelanders changed but it just feels like a normal Fallout game and it's great. Some other things that would be useful to know would be; XP grinding spots if there are any, any specific spots to gather Screws and Oil and maybe a general Perks/Special guide that could cover which stats to invest in early that can make a difference in quests or just make life easier. Thanks for the video!
I started this weekend too and just decided to buy it after playing, doesnt feel entirely like a fallout game cause of mole miners, the design of the scorched, and the floaters
I think I got the game the day it came out I had lvl 80 then I forgot my old psn account pass after not being online for months so had make new one started playing last month lvl 100 rn
UnCaged Mayhem dude it’s really not they have made the game so much better if your looking to do the new dlc you have to do the overseer quest and if you find it boring finds some people to play with
Pro tip: Waste Acid the easy way. Go to campfire tales on a private server with friends or not, and run the event as long as you can (Don't pick up the last missing item until about 2-3 minutes left on the clock) keep killing the bloodbugs for the proboscis and finish the event. Then use the armor bench there at the event to scrap the proboscis for waste acid. I've walked away with 400 waste acid in just one event.
there is an unmarked house not to far from the Morgantown High School that's filled with cat bowls, just head south-east until you see a large steel building next to a small house. Its a good gauntlet to run to get a lot of plastic.
it's part of the final main quest. you need to join on everything. it has no impact on the surrounding since everyone is dead or left wv. except other players of course
Think he was asking if he should get the game. Really its up to you, it's been cheap for a while maybe see if there is any news on free weekends they have done it before might do it again. Either way it comes down to you, do you want to play it, it helps to have friends to get on with. Its not a bad game, it has gotten a lot better and even with all the hate, the haters still record new footage to dis on the game so even they still have to be playing
I live in central Va but ride motorcycles in West Virginia on occasion. While playing the game I was shocked that I knew where I was much of the time. Seneca Rocks blew me away. White Springs is exactly like the game portrays, though it’s called White sulphur springs.
If you want to get a decent chunk of caps, after the uranium fever event instead of scrapping go outside and sell to the whitesprings train station(use perk card hard bargain)
I've found the best way to farm Steel, Fusion Cells and Lead is to server hop anywhere lots of robots are. This is best done at higher levels just to make it faster. Anytime I'm low on lead I hit all three Missile silos, go all the way to the end (Launch a nuke if i have a key card) then switch servers if I need more. With One Wasteland now I usually encounter a few three star enemies in each silo. With Super Duper, Ammo Factory and the other ammo crafting perk I can slam out a few thousand rounds of whatever I need after just one server run. Not to mention all the other scrap you can collect.
if you do the Path To Enlightenment (i think it's called) event at the lighthouse and interact with the mothman (commune with it) he gives you a perception buff. i never know that for the first 30 times i did the damn event and more recently learned it XD
Mainly you should be scavenging and picking up everything that you can and cannot carry. I have walked across the map many times when weight is 200 lbs over max. When doing main and side quests (which is where you get the best XP and the best gear) collect all the junk laying around. Once you get the scrapper perk, you can get a ton of components FOR FREE. Just like when scrapping all weapons you get mods. Once you get the hang of it you will know what junk items give what. Lead comes from all of the cans laying around, all of the kids toys, rat poison (huge! Gives 5 and is very light, like the cans, and found everywhere) weights (will need to scrap immediately-very heavy) and combo wench. That’s all I can think of at the moment but thag gives you a good start. In order to be very successful you must pick up the junk! It’s also great to use for earning caps. You can make 1400caps/daily at vendors selling what you find. Bulking extra junk is a great way to earn those caps. As well as caps from other players when placing in personal vendors. Steal, lead, wood, screws, gears, plastic, acid are all HUGE SELLERS. If you’re not a cucumber (overencumbered) at least 70% of the time you are not playing the game right. And for the love of all that’s Fallout. VATS is their fighting system. Use it. Abuse it. Love it. IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE AND MAKE THE GAME FUN AND STRATEGIC AS HELL! And most importantly JUST HAVE FUN. Do not be consumed w the stuff that other players have. You will have the same stuff soon. Just b patient. So no waste your caps buying up all you see. Because the next quest you do you will end up winning that exact thing. It has happened to me too many times. Til I learned my lesson and just bided my time. I role play a lot (tho since i’m alwhS alone I guess it just means I act crazy and have conversations w myself) so I can allow my mind to slow down and enjoy every aspect. Hoping I’ll find more role players down the road. I’m a bit older than most. Especially the women gamers out there. Have been gaming since Atari hit shelves and those I know have already grown out of games. That will never happen to me.
you don't have to select a workshop bench itself to claim the area; on xbox you just have to be within the circle then hold down the "view" button (the one with two boxes) and it will give you the option to claim and the PvP warning. i like to claim workshops as i'm passing by and i claim them from the very edge of the area and hidden as well as possible.
"Here's some professional Fallout 76 tips from an expert here to help make your time in the world a lot easier, and a lot more stress free." *Proceeds to just simply exist with 9/10ths of his health meter filled with rads*
Ide like to mention the usefulness of butcher " Butcher’s Bounty " with ticks to get more tick blood which is used to make blood packs and using the chemist perk along with "Super Duper" will grant you lots of blood packs. My camp has a %100 tick spawn, whenever other players visit my vendor they will respawn. I've had well over hundred blood packs and i never run low on stims.
Cook Cranberry Relish. Cranberries, gourds, sugar, and boiled water. +10%xp for an hour. 😘 Regular cranberries can be found in bulk at Aaronholt in the northwest corner, Sunshine Field southwest of Watoga, and Mac's farm north of Watoga to name a few. You can farm your own gourds, and sugar is made from snaptails which are easily collected along the western river, as well as just about any river in the Forest area.
I appreciate the effort, but this was more about mining than about anything else. Granted, resource management is an important part of the game, but as for crucial tips I think those would be more like where to get the plans for excavator armor or how to survive early game playing solo versus in a team, or how to spend special points depending on your playstyle, things like that. Thanks for the info, but it just wasn't what I was looking for.
Prickett's Fort is another awesome location for wood, and Watoga high school is a great place for plastic as well. Great tips! Hope your situation is doing good, continued prayers!
Alright man, I am a veteran fallout player. Finished all including brotherhood of steel on Xbox, I am starting 76 to-day and I chose you as my guide. Lessco
I just had to add, if you want components for ammunition (steel, lead, gunpowder) invest in a set of excavator power armour. 1st go to the mountain range to the left of the top of the world on the map and start at the electrical tower and head south along the rang and mine the iron ore. There are videos you can watch on where they are. 2nd go to lucky hole mine and mine all the lead. For acid go to toxic larrys meat n go or any other snallygaster spawn and farm the snallygasters for acid by killing them and then server hopping. Then use the raw ores and acid to get the lead and steal scrap and while your at it use the acid to make gunpowder as well. This is how i make heaps of ammo and usually make about 1000 5.56 ammo a day. Also for caps set up a camp next to water and place down industrial water purifiers (plan at overseer cache camp mclintlock). This is what i do personally and sit on around atleast 2.5k caps.
Used to work in Lewisburg. It was really depressing the first time I walked thru it on the game. Such a beautiful little town. Hope it never happens. 🥺
A way to make alot of CAPS ( money) at any level is going into a nuked area and gathering nuked flora, then sell in to venders. Nuked flora weighs almost nothing so you can gather alot, you will need a full power armor set you can use (Lv 15 Raider lowest)or a radiation suit. I'm sure there are tons of vid on where to find those. Side note: sell nuked flora often as it will spoil and become worthless.
This will be best if you have Fallout 1st for the survival tent and scrapbox but if you do the Uranium Fever and take all the mole miner gauntlets at the end you can get over 1000 steel. I did it the other day and scrapped almost 70 gauntlets + other guns and got around 1500 steel
