From Jamaica, it was so good seeing our national fruit being talked about. You got everything correct, but ackee poisoning rarely happens cause getting the poison parts out is pretty easier than people think. Just wait until the fruit open naturally, remove the seed (any black parts) and remove the pinkish part in the middle and wash the yellow part, n cook in hot water until soften. Drain and saute with red n green onions and salted cod fish, black pepper. Bon appetite.
My husband and I got married in Jamaica. We got to eat Jamaica's traditional dish. It was delicious! But definitely learned to respect the Scotch bonnet! We have some Jamaican friends who explained what ackee was and how they prepare it etc. Definitely interesting and loved learning about the history and culture.
I go through so many boxes of the warheads juniors and have never burnt my tongue that bad. Maybe when I had 4 packs at once, but it was very mild. Just don't keep it in the same spot.
I used to eat toxic waste all the time but have definitely been put off them since i was dared to keep 3 blue raspberry ones in my mouth and not spit them out. I kept them in my cheek but still tasted the sour. That was fine though, i’ve had worse. What was bad was the fact my cheek started peeling off the next day :/ Edit: it didn’t hurt as such, it was just a weird sensation lol
Probably from the high citric acid content in them, prolonged bathing in such acid would easily erode the top layers of skin in a part of the body that produces new skin cells constantly do to the bacteria and such in our mouths, I wouldn't recommend doing that too often, the same stuff that killed the skin cells, would also pretty easily erode tooth enamel as well.
Oh no. My dude. I never got to that point but what I went through was bad enough. There's truly not enough milk in the world to even slightly soothe that pain.
There is absolutely no way that I would eat any cheese or meat that’s been infested with maggots. Because that’s disgusting. But I’ll still eat chicken nuggets because they are so good.
I used to work in a candy shop and we had kids coming in and buying one of every of our most sour candies for some kind of internet challenge. I felt obligated to inform these kids and/or the parents of the possibility of burns from too much exposure to the sour crystals. Some blew me off and some appreciated the warning but, given how I’ve heard multiple stories about sour candies burning holes in tongues or the roof of the mouth, I wanted to make sure people were aware and the store’s ass was covered.
My school liked to trade sour lollipops that stained your tongue the colour of the lollipops and I got a mini burn on my tongue from one. I never bought a sour lollipop from someone ever again.
I remember eating an entire bag when I was a kid and burning my tongue like this. When I was a kid I never thought there was anything dangerous just oops don't eat too much. Never considered there was anything wrong with the situation. I love spicy and sour stuff these days 😂
The sour sensation is coming from Acids. It's crazy how many people don't understand that, or do understand it but don't understand how bad acids can be on our bodies.
If I wasn’t Jamaican I would’ve been scared to eat ackee just by watching this little clip 😂😂 NB: we use the green/unripe ackee to get rid of ringworm. Instructions: 1) Cut the unripe fruit. 2) Apply the inner layer of the ackee skin to the affected area. 3) Repeat the process. You’ll be free of ringworm with 3-4 days 🥳
I've worked in the dairy industry for years and know that in the UK milk is scored known as the "bactoscan" the lower the number the better, 0 to low teens is fine. Although 0 is a myth. It's really tasty and highly nutritious. Being natural it will contain some amounts of bacteria but not necessarily bad. There are also other things to worry about like, oil, chemicals, and parasites. But a good farm knows how to get the best milk. It amazes me how much the taste changes when I get from the shops than the bulk tank 👌 support farmers 👍
As a south-african, my grandmother have 3 lychee trees,i been eating them since childhood, but I just know when they are ripe, and yes, I eat them alone between lunch and supper time
25:50 I used to drink fresh milk all the time as a kid with very weak immune system. I lived on a farm and we had our own cows and we would consume milk made by our own cows of course and I even remember waking up in the morning and first thing I would do is drink fresh milk that was still warm from the cow and it was so so delicious and never got sick from the milk
@@crazinventor4442 I believe I tried goat milk before but it was such a long time ago so I don't remember how it taste like. Do you prefer goat milk or cow milk more?
Don't ever try Casu Marzu. I'm Italian and that cheese is illegal here, they only produce it in Sardinia but it's very much illegal, it is bad for ur health
He's probably referring to Propylene glycol being in some if not all store bought ice creams. It's also in the anti freeze you put in your vehicle. They replaced the main ingredient in anti freeze with propylene glycol so if your pet or kids drink the stuff they have a better chance of surviving. Most of this video was completely over dramatized.
I'm Pennsylvania dutch and the area I was raised in had lots of wild strawberries in the fields. They aren't poison and are prolific and very good. We also ate elderberrys in custard pie (they need cooked) and you can bread and fry elderflower its actually very good!
Well they probably shouldn't be eaten raw . I think a simple cooking, like baking them in a pie probably kills the supposed poison. Elderberry pie is tart but bitter! I dont know of any specific technique! 🤗
in my area in pennsylvania we have what my mom calls “wine berries” theyre wild berries very similar to raspberries and theyre safe to eat and very common (and absolutely delicious) we even had them in our backyard! so i ate them all the time, i absolutely loved them
I’ve eaten lychees for years I’m Asian and so my mom buys them whenever she see’s them I have not had a problem with them at all and don’t eat them with anything else
(11:29) Here in my country, Brazil, where it came from actually, it's called Mandioca and largely eaten all around the country. It originates from Amazonia rain forest, and the natives know how to cooked it for centuries. It can b eaten boiled like a soup, fried like potatoes, can be turned into flour and used in recipes or just seasoned and mixed into food to eat, their starch can be made into Tapioca that is a type of crepe. It's very taste and very versatile.
My experiences with bad food effects: Toxic Waste- ate three in quick succession and my tongue began peeling Cough Drops- had a really bad sickness that screwed my throat and couldn't stop coughing. Ate too many and the back of my tongue began shedding into what felt like bits of gel from crushed orbeez or something. Banana Peppers- the pickledness of the peppers unsettled my stomach really badly. I got a really bad stomach flu the night I tried them for the first time. It may have been coincidental, but now the smell of anything pickled makes me feel sick
Yeah i have eaten a lot of warheads and nothing has happened either he ate way too much, had some sort of tongue condition, ate it wrong if there was a factory mistake
Ok, so Warheads were developed in the 90s for people who love sour stuff. I used to eat them until I had lacerations in my tongue all the time. That was usually about 6 of the things. They are round candies that kind of look like a butterscotch disc but filled in. It is made with a LOT of its sour ingredient, which is literally an excess of CITRIC ACID. Found in small amounts in fruits, it is an acid. It breaks down solids in high concentrations. So, there is a good chance this kid ate a piece of acidic fruit, drank a soda, or had another one of these or similar before eating this.
I use to work there... I loved it. I was in the actual war head section (Kitchen/Prepackage). 12 hours and breathing in all the acid. Fun to work there except that.
@@Chikako_Akumu At the Warhead's candy place? DUDE! I would have died!! I was all about sour candy. My brother, too. He had ADHD, so he needed something to keep him busy. Well, when you get bored....sour candy keeps ya busy lol. We would have sour candy munch offs. Try to see who could last longest. I always one. It was the one thing I was best at. Man...what it would have been like to work there...
I’ve eaten some of the things on this list and I’m fine. But the maggot cheese… I saw that on some tv show years ago and it turned my stomach so bad. I was not surprised you had that here or the live octopus. I wouldn’t do either of those or fugu. Seriously reconsidering ice cream at this point
I burned my tongue from eating kiwi fruit. Three ripe ones in about 15 minutes. Didn't take off as much skin as in the photo, but by tongue bleed freely for quite a while. I used to eat lots of very slightly over-ripe kiwis as a kid (mom worked in a produce department) and never got a bleeding tongue. 😋🥝
I'm an Indian and I've been eating Lichis ever since I was a kid ig 💀 I'm actually terrified to see this cuz we have this tree in our home and Everytime when the Lichi's aren't even ripe me and my cousins will try eating em and Grandma will be like don't eat unripe Lichis or you'll have upset stomachs didn't knew it's that serious,, Thank you Grandma
Warheads and lemon heads will tear your mouth up if you eat them back to back for a while. They are kind of addictive a little bit. You will begin to eat them subconsciously until you notice the inside of your mouth feeling like it's shredding or disintegrating.
Ackee was my favorite food when I lived in Jamaica . they would be growing and ripe at weird places like a university. 14:19 they were growing by my house in Jamaica .
I used to eat warheads when I was a child and it never bothered me like that but the more I grew up I noticed that it would make the roof of my mouth sore and it did start eating away at my tongue. Safe to say it shouldn’t be eaten
Well it’s more than just a choking hazard that makes hotdogs one of the most deadly food you can eat hotdogs or any processed meat as far as that goes is deadly and can have horrible side effects on your Health because all the artificial ingredients and preservatives found in processed meats such as hotdogs baloney chopped ham even ground beef So next time you think about just filling your grill full of hotdogs and sitting down and just pigging out if you really care about your overall well-being you may want to reconsider
to tell you the truth i love ackee and im from jamaica and the only way it kills you is if you dont know how to cook it or where you buy it if you want ackee to eat ask a jamaican you trust to cook it for you and its not that bad its tasty
Apparently eating raw cookie dough can be deadly. That really doesn't sound like the worst way to go though. At least I died happy. 😆 After almost 39 years of eating it, I'm still here (somehow 😂) so, stupid as it may be, I don't think I'm going to stop. That being said, I do that maybe 1 time every two years. I lost my taste for really sweet food after my thyroid got sort of stabilized.
That’s what my mom always used to say when I was little and those rare moments where she baked with me. I never listened to her. She said I’ll get a massive stomach ache and I could die, but that didn’t stop me. Especially since it never happened to me, maybe a tiny stomach ache one time but overall it wasn’t that bad lol memories
Is there no end to the levels of cruelty of which people are capable? I broke down in tears to see an octopus being tortured, the level of gaiety in the narrator's tone made it even more macabre. These animals are sophisticated and intelligent, more than I can say for most people. It will not be a terrible thing when we wipe ourselves out, I just hope that we leave enough left to allow as many plants and animals to survive as possible before we go.
While traveling with my family in Ireland, I bought a pack of toxic waste sour candy, after a couple of them, my tongue started to burn them go numb, the next day I pulled off all the skin on my tongue. All my taste buds were left behind so it looked like a thin cross section of a sponge.
it's true about the cashews, as a kid I bit into one and it very bitter it's also flammable and the fumes itches the throat when inhaled, they even cause irritation on the hands after roasting and cracking the shell open.
I freaking LOVE rhubarb! I usually eat it with some sugar, to kind of fight the sour taste. I started eating it when I was, like, 6- and I'm still fine and still love it! Grandpa ,who was the one growing the plant in his backyard, always said to never even put the leaves near my mouth (I was a kid that put everything in my mouth, and I still do-) because he said it was dangerous, I listened to him, and I'm still fine :)
One time I saw someone in a restaurant choking on live & conscious kalamari, they said it felt like the squid was grasping on to their tonsils. They only had like a 5 minute wait then began eating the exact same meal that had them fearing for their life.
And to think that, when I was younger, my mom didn't believe me when I told her I thought my sour candy had made a hole in my tongue. She just laughed at my face and didn't even take me seriously to entertain the idea of checking my tongue to see the damage 💀
hey I noticed the image at 0:58 doesn't seem to have a watermark/credit like the rest of them the image is from a Will Mcdaniell video specifically "How to make a salad from possessed vegetables"
The war head reminds me of a competition I did with my friends when younger. As I recall I won seeing as it was how many pieces we could put in our mouths before tapping out. The more sour the candy the higher the score. Since I love citrus I went for all the lemon and orange ones it was a interesting experience my tounge was raw for sure and burned a bit but I don’t know about it being that bad 😬
Straight from Jamaica! Let me tell you, Ackee noice! Everything you said is true, great research Note: Here in Jamaica, you can actually use the ackee seeds for medicine or for face and hair hygiene. Of course, not really used much here because of the toxins, but it is tried here and has worked. Still stay safe with the ackee though! Especially with the stringy parts in the folds of the ackee!
I am glad now that I am allergic to seafood, nuts, and milk/dairy products and therefore never had them. I can't believe I used to complain about never having eaten them.
The last one is entirely the parents fault. If the child is under 3, and you give it SUCH LARGE FOODS, mabey RE PARENT should consider not giving to to their child in the first place, if there's a risk of the child choking.
Kids under 3 have been known to choke on hot dogs even when they are cut into small pieces... My kids choked on small hot dog pieces. It's actually really common.
OMFG, I researched it to fully debunk your statement, but now instead, I have yet another valid reason for the eradication of China. Those pictures are beyond disturbing and disgusting!! I thought you were just crazy or racist, my apologies.
@@ItsAllAboutPerspective375 my boyfriend showed me last week at first I said it's not human baby's is it and he says yes and then showed me a bunch of pics and I couldn't believe it. I think they can also call it baby soup.

I never really found war heads sour. I would eat abt eh probably 5-6 and I don't see what's so horrible. It's only a little bit sour for like 20 seconds and then it's just sweet 🤷
On #2, I grew up drinking raw unpasteurized milk, and I never had a problem. In fact, I think it's superior than that which you get at the grocery store. I suppose I should mention that my grandparents ran a dairy farm, so yeah, they made it a point to drink their own product, and I loved it.
I don't think there is a comparison. Milk straight from the cow has all good nutrients that milk in the supermarket loses. Bet your healthier for it too! I've never tried it, I want too,
Are you also talking about exotic fruits? I know one for you it's called a mangosteen it's a dark pink fruit at the outside with creamy white Flesh on the inside😊
For the warheads I can vouch that this is true sometimes I eat a whole pack of them and everything stings my TOngue but after a few days the taste buds u killed by eating a lot of the warheads will start to peel off and new ones will be under them
Thank you for adding McDonalds to this list, purely because of that I liked the video. Awesome job! Raise awareness of "food products" that aren't even real to the FDA!!
@@soggypotatochip aye I’ve also ate it thousands of times like everyone else, it’s what you notice about your own body after you stop. Everyone is different. Do look into how food has been processed over time though, it’s interesting
Ive been eating raw cashews for years from whole foods. I've been buying them for at least 18 years. I've never gotten sick. They haven't had shells, but they are called raw and unsalted. They don't smell very good but they taste good.
Thank you brother Corey for your teaching about "Eternal Security" or "Once Saved, Always Saved". I used to believe you could lose your salvation, so always doubted that I would ever go to heaven, as I was not righteous enough. Even though I was raised in a "Christian" home, my father was an abusive alcoholic and my mother was verbally abusive towards me, possibly because she took out her frustration with my father on me. Was always told I was stupid and she favored my sister over me, even though she expected more from me than her, me being the oldest. To make matters worse, because of my low self worth, I was ostracized by my peers at school, so hated my grade school years and was thankful once I went to college. One day in my morning physics class, I asked God three things (I mouthed what I was thinking but didn't talk loud enough for everyone to hear since I was in class). I had been going to church with my family all my life and was a member of both the junior and senior choirs but doubt was making me wonder if God was even real, and if my going to church was an exercise in futility. I asked God how He could exist an eternity before creation and exist forevermore. Second, how He created everything from nothing. Third, if the dust covered black KJV Bible sitting on the bookshelf was His true inspired word to man, and that I should read it. I added that if I didn't get an answer, would assume He wasn't real, and would stop attending church. No sooner had I asked the questions, a blinding light and an answer that has kept me believing in God the last 50 years. The answer He gave to my third question I can share. YES. The Bible we have today is truly God's Word to man and must be read to find out what God's will to be accomplished in our lives is. The answers to the first and second revealed the mind and very nature of God in a way I could understand, and showed clearly that He is an eternal Spirit, without beginning or end, and that all of Creation is an extension of His glory and power. "In Him we live and move and have our being." If you want to know the answers God have me to my first two questions, just ask Him. If He answered a man who did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but seeking the Truth, I am sure He will answer you too. I actually began reading God's word after He answered me and was a Jew for awhile even observing the Passover, but didn't like the taste of lamb, too woolly for my taste. (I did not know who Jesus was, even though I sang Handel's' Messiah, the truth evaded me). Received a tract called the "4 Spiritual Laws" which whetted my appetite to know more, so actually went to a Full Gospel Bible College at the age of 23. It was there I got a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, but because of my inferiority complex and self-loathing, was never sure of my salvation. It wasn't until I got Covid and almost died from it 2 years ago, that I began watching Corey's show, as well as others of the same vein. Understanding that God is able to keep whom He has chosen, has been so liberating. I used to be addicted to porn, but once I accepted Jesus redemption plan, realizing that it is not my righteousness but His that saves me, I gave my life fully to Him and haven't watched porn in over a year, nor have the craving for it I once had. God has set me free from sin and it's cravings. This is not to say that I don't slip up and may say a cruel word in anger, but know He will forgive me and help me overcome my sins, if we sincerely repent. It is not our good works that save us, but Him working in and through us that brings us unto salvation. Again...thanks Corey. 😊
I totally watched this on the day before Halloween, ahaha. I didn't know some of these things (like the carnivorous plants) were even considered edible!
Your comment on antifreeze in ice-cream is incorrect, in that it is not the same chemical that is in cars. Cars use ethylene glycol with can certainly be deadly to humans. However the "antifreeze" used in food industry is propylene glycol and is considered generally safe for human consumption. Its in many products and called out in the ingredient list as propylene glycol.
This probably says something bad about my tongue, but the Warheads Extreme Sour candies aren't that sour to me. I'm actually snacking on some right now. On a side note, the foods I've had in this video are the Warheads (duh), lychee, elderberry (In the form of gummies), raw cashews, canned tuna, Chicken McNuggets, and hotdogs. This video surprised me for sure.
I'm Icelandic and laughed out loud when hákarl popped up XD Hákarl actually just means shark, the full name of the 'delicacy' is kæstur hákarl, with the former word being the type of fermentation that happens to it when buried. It does smell absolutely awful, along with kæst skata (fermented skate/manta ray)
I love Warheads and have eaten them from time to time. They actually changed the recipe where it's not near as sour. Even when this incident happened. That kid had a lot of warheads in a short time. My tongue would hurt sometimes, but to keep eating them is crazy
Cassava came from brazil right? If yes then i gotta say that cassava looks like the brasilian food named mandioca, that when u do the cooking steps correctly and prepare it properly it is harmless and edible (like yea you can eat it) while if u eat it like an fruit or idk it can be deadly, ik it cuz i live there and ive heard about it
The leechies reminds me of crab apple. I had one, as their was a tree that grew and branched over to my house. It was the worst idea ever. And I had raw squid before. It was a leg with the tentacles still on it. An I had rhubarb straight from the ground before, as a kid. Didn't bother me one bit. (My aunt's landlord had a garden at the time, and one of the things they grew was rhubarb). I remember sucking on it like a sucker. I didn't get sick at all
