If you want to save up money, you could go for a middle room or a large room and divide the space in the beginning. Large room has the same size like the main house, which you get after building it the first time. I think floors are not really necessary unless you really want it. It took me 2-3 days 10-15 hours to buy a large room. After one week I have now 2 large and one middle room. 5 lvls more and I'm lvl 50, so I have to get enough money to buy the gazebo. Housing and furniture crafting is usually the latest thing to do since, they will require lots of gold, items and time to get. At the same time you also need to focus on the other jobs to get those materials. But I just love to decorate, which is why I focused on furniture crafting the house at the same time.

Exactly. I really need to see the rooms and what they look like. So far this is one of the few that shows the rooms without the over clutter

Yeah! Trying to finish those, the flow trees are no joke lol hard to find but trying my best to finish that set up :D

@@AndrewArcade I had this idea I was so excited about to build hallways all the way around a central courtyard. Frantically scrapping blueprints now and starting over again at the drawing board.

Totally understand your criticisms, I mainly played a lot of Sims growing up so I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to customizing houses. This is for sure more on par with Dreamlight Valley / Animal Crossing decorating. I'm struggling with that too of making separate areas outside, my best recommendation for now could be building more tents. We for sure need more exterior objects and other fences to select from!

@@AndrewArcade Thanks for the reply. There are a lot of good features to housing in Palia. Changing furniture appearance and window/doorway styles is innovative and great. Overall an A for decorating options. I'm surprised we only get one plot style which kind of feels like being down in a hole and adds to the feeling of separation away from the rest of the game. Rift, also instanced housing, gave us about ten different styles with waterfalls, lakes, great views in small to extremely large sizes available. We could also visit other player's housing who checked the box allowing it. This made for a fun time just exploring and getting ideas from other players. I was also disappointed that we can't actually build to the waters edge to build a fishing dock. Perhaps in a year or two they will get these kinds of things into the game.

Hmm how odd, yeah you're meant to be able to move rooms with furniture inside. I know sometimes certain rooms can't go next to each other without a hallway, maybe that could be it? Or it could totally be a bug too it's hard to say. But it should be possible!

No doors :( I hope they add them in a update though, would be nice for batrhoom and bedroom entrances.

Yeah so right now if you add more chests to other plots it does increase your storage. *But* I saw a community mod on the Discord say that it's not intended so I'm personally not risking it even though I'm also struggling with the item limit haha.

Yep, you were right, they just patched it this night. I really don't understand why a supposed cosy game restricts how much stuff we can hoard. I mean, we don't even have the possibility to trade, so what's the matter?

@@AndrewArcade One last question, how many makers are there in the game? Like the crafting table, smelter and etc.

Yes! When you press "H" to see a top-down view of your house you can select a room and hit the delete key to return it back to your inventory on the left side to place back down on that plot or another plot save.

On PC I think it's the Z button! When you go into edit mode it should tell you somewhere on the screen what button to press to toggle the grid on and off in case you're playing on Switch :)

There's like 20-25 furniture sets (including the upcoming ones that'll get released at some) point so hopefully you'll be able to include them all ! That's a great idea tough, I might do the same on my plot.

So I got a bit of a head start because I'm a Palia Partner! So I was able to play a few days before Closed Beta. On top of that early on I really loved hunting and did mainly that and made a ton of cash because I realized it was making a ton of cash. So much so that the devs nerfed hunting lol 😅 so I just got a bit lucky in the start with that.
