I am not sure how I feel about Ectolife. I am for genetic alteration to remove negative traits, such as laziness, stupidity, obesity, bad behavior, etc.; but everything else needs to be left to nature, including eye and hair color, talents, etc..

Artificially incubating babies? horrendous! babies should hear there parents voices and feel the feelings they feel and experience through hormones their parent produces . And I’m sure they feel the love their parents emit for them . Nothing could ever replace that.

What if all of that was possible? I personally disagree with this but know millions of women and men who would readily line up for this due to infertility and just as many due to personal vanity ( no stretch marks, no body changes, no pain etc.)

Perhaps we overestimate the importance of this, as well as the importance of upbringing. Perhaps our genes are responsible for everything. Some studies indicate this. We'll know for sure when we decipher the DNA.

If StarLink was the only internet service, a lot of people wouldn't have internet, as they live in apartments that don't allow dishes to be installed on their porches. It'd have to be one big fat dish and provide the block with internet through cable connection.

It doesn't need to actually be permanently mounted. You can set it out when you need it. Also, if it were the only way to get internet, I'm sure apartments would have different rules.

Ecto life needs to re assess the birth rate time as I've heard we as homosapiens don't gestate for as long as our large brains need the possible correct gestational period could be12 to 16 month's we're naturally born not fully developed. I.e. a chimpanzee is able to climb at birth as they have smaller brains to their body size ....imagine a human child being born at 16 month's like a horse or an gazelle/elephant able to walk within hours of birth ..These humans artificial gestational period could be far different to a regular humans .in intellect down the line .NOW that would be an amazing thing to witness 😮

Ectolife is not exact. I'm sure moms emotions, walking, sounds, sleep, illness etc. Cannot be replicated. Not to mention the babies sending stem cell to help moms in need would no longer be sent. Wonderful illustration of many incorrect statements - Quantum Computer is could do amazing things, when reaching a couple thousand entagled Qbits. But AI databases and machine learning will certainly NOT be there - Microchips have evolved exponentially for the last 70 (!) years. And while the development is continuing, the cost-per-transistor is rising again for the last 3 technology nodes - Just because RoboDog2 has more sensors than its predecessor, it is NOT the future, as it is an existing product. And maybe a child will cuddle a piece of plastic - but a grown person? - Virtual Reality is certainly becomming part of our future - but not by the name "Metaverse". Genetically engineered babies with physically perfect bodies and exceptional intelligence sounds like a recipe for a generation of deeply depressed human beings. Societies don't seem to know how to raise well-adjusted profoundly privileged or gifted children to be adults who also have a deep sense of purpose and value. Obstacle and adversity push humanity forward, forcing us to (eventually) learn to cooperate in order to survive as a species. Removing that friction could mean we will never conquer war, hunger, greed. Ironically, inadvertent endogamy and the eventual inevitable inbreeding may do us in long before external strife as our new, perfect bodies will be too weak to fight off new pathogens. If so, CRISPR will have lived up to its horror movie name.
