Agreed. I usually fast scroll thru just to see who is in the video. We should put the AI in a Different Strokes remake. That seems to be a nail in the coffin, according to this video.
I saw a program awhile ago about Loni Willison. She lives on the streets. I so wish her family and friends would find her and do an intervention. Maybe even the Baker Act ( or whatever it’s called in LA) to get her off the streets and in rehab!😢😢
dang, didn't know peterson died so young, what a beauty..and so great for that film, I really hope brett butler makes it onto jre one day, she's awesome
Life can sucker punch anyone. No one is guaranteed a smooth ride from start to finish. I was 62 and became homeless and unemployed. I had NEVER been EITHER. My first day, still in shock, the horror began. With the demoralization of the situation; it took me nearly a year to find shelter. I truly believe this can happen to anyone out of left field....leaving you no clue how to cope. Dehumanization is a big part of it. Blessed Be everyone who is struggling. I am old enough to know the hills and valleys well; and have every faith that things change. Comfortably homed now and loving life. Whatever people are fighting....help them, don't load your scorn on their overburdened souls.
I'm not sure if you were aware of it, but in the segment about Margot Kidder, you showed a clip from the first Superman movie 1:26. But the scene you showed was Christopher Reeves & Valerie Perrine (NOT Margot Kidder).
Yeah, if this video was about regular folk who became homeless, instead of celebrities, there would be no gentle words that praised their resilience, no accolades bestowed, nor would there be any sympathy.
It shouldn't matter if a person is famous or not people with addiction or mental and or physical disabilities should be helped We are all brother and sisters so look out for them
We all get lost sometime in life. but we all trying to make it back to the right path. It’s ok to failed sometime. When we think we have a problem….. look around someone else worse than us! Keep trying.
Thanks For Sharing. Too Sad To Be True. There's a Word If U Can't Control Your Drug so Fk Quit From any drugs Especially Alcohol. The thing about this is that there are millions of Americans that have suffered difficulties in their life and picking out a few of the very fortunate few that had an opportunity and this is what they did with it does not make me feel any better about my nephew, that’s lived on the street for 25 years or cousins that are addictedto numerous different things. Life is about choices make good ones and live them.
I always find it so sad how Hollywood fame and music fame chewed so many people and talent up and spit them out … I found out about a few of my idols while growing up from this video that I did not know had passed … sad … 😔🙏… my daughter went to University for Psychology and has her Masters and now works for a rehabilitation addictions /mental health facility here in our home town … she is my Angel and I’m so proud of her I can’t even say … there’s a program here in Canada called “ The Blue Elephant” it asks you to display a blue rubber elephant toy at your works work centre or office or somewhere people who are struggling with mental health issues know your a person who they can come too and talk too when they need to do so … I took it one step farther and got a “ blue elephant “ tattoo on my forearm too talk to anybody anywhere I go
Dana Plato was so gorgeous. As a kid watching Different Strokes, I thought she was so pretty. I had no idea about Lisa Robinson Kelly, so sad. She fit that role to a T on that 70s show. Reminded me of my older sister in the 80s 😂 To me, Jim Carey is just sick of it all. I don’t blame him, and he deserves it. He left a timeless cultural icon with us all. I remember when my dad, born in the ‘40s discovered Jim Carey in the 90s and he told me “that guy is going places in entertainment”
Everyone's life is different. We don't even know when to die. Don't say, ohh I'm young!! But the old live longer than the young. While many newborn children also die suddenly. If we have land, it's better to live in the village, don't live in the city and become homeless.
The common issue is addiction. That’s not a complexity. Addiction leads to destruction. The solution is avoidance. Once you are hooked it’s next to impossible to recover.
While working at Paramount Pictures, I walked about a mile from the studio to a park and I ran across Margot Kidder. She was in bad health, skinny and no teeth. I only communicated with her sporadically. She was the kindest and most caring person but didn’t want help. I lost in touch with her at the park a month later. I valued and enjoyed our limited friendship.
I once gave Jan Michael Vincent a cigarette by a dumpster outside of an AA meeting in Santa Monica, California. I didn't even realize it was him until someone told me. It was sad.
That’s not Margot Kidder with Superman, it is Valerie Perine. Valerie had her own issues though, and could be included in this video in her own right. She was incredibly beautiful.
The problem with being a movie star is they make a movie, get a big pay cheque, and get famous. But then they have an image to maintain. They have to live in an expensive house, always be immaculately dressed in expensive clothes, have a classy car, go to expensive parties. The pressure is on to land the next big role, to fund all this. If it doesn't happen and for many it does not, the cash is burned through and they end in poverty.
The majority of these people when faced with a downward trend resorted to drug use to solve their problems. A couple of them did what they could to change the situation. Although they could not achieve what they once had, they are living a normal life. Snipes managed to pick up the pieces and move on with his life in a big way. He went broke, did time in prison and also made a big time come back. He's had Novels published. He should consider writing a book on how he got back on his feet. Such a story would make a very good film.
Only a few of these people actually became homeless. They may have been down on their luck, but they were not on the streets. They were living with friends or in hotels. Technically, that might be considered homeless, but the word implies that they were so broke and destitute that they were literally living on the streets.
🇵🇭 14:28 Randy Quaid. I saw him yesterday at the Old movie, was it the Last Picture? U said the Last Detail .. got me confused ... Anyway, sad about randy too. He needs help.
A lot of these people were child stars. I know we’ve all heard the stories of the terrible abuse and overall terrible childhoods of kids in Hollywood. It’s no surprise they would go through addiction, mental health issues. Money doesn’t solve everything.
He served around 3 years in prison. That's what ended his career, it's not Just America. Where there's government there's corporations where there is greed and control
Want to be smart again western... Start with learn only male and female first... Your pride will fall... not great again... Not jealous by asian..just advise..
You know, I always wondered why Ron Howard didn’t help out Erin Moran. Granted, he didn’t owe her anything, but he certainly knew the struggles of being a child actor and had worked with her for several years. Perhaps he did offer a helping hand, and I am not aware of it. I just have a hard time when I see a coworker struggle. Sometimes a little help goes a long way. But there are times that it makes matters worse
Different Strokes must have been jinked with 2 child stars losing their lives so early and Todd Bridges having so much trouble in his own personal life.
Yes i 've been houseless 6× in my life time Now we are beyond Blessed God as blessed us beyond words we got an amazing place with a lease up to 6 yrs wich we willyry to buy our own i have several health issues, and being a single mom . Put your trust in God!! Father God hope , faith Love ❤️🌈❤️
After listening to the full video the moral of the story is this...1. Don't let your ego be your master 2. Don't take drugs And dont drink a lot. Keep it to 6drinks a month max.. If you are worried about aging, stick to 4 drinks per year....max 3. You come into money, buy a house or apartment in your hometown. You never know when you may need it. 4. Make good choices.
Wesley Snipes being sent to prison for not paying his taxes is sad. Like what exactly did that achieve? One guy with not even that big a fortune punished with jail time, when you have all these so called CEOs and robber barons getting write offs and tax cuts for amassing bigger fortunes and a golden parachute for gambling away and losing other people's money on Wallstreet with just a slap on the wrist as penalty.
