OK already. I have been homeless. I have lived in lockup garages and old vans and leaky caravans and in fact in a hole in the ground. Never taken any drugs. Stopped alcohol at age 18. Never drank much anyway. I'm a survivor. 76 now and still trying to show the rest of the world how to survive.

People don’t understand that consuming these poisons are only a temporary escape from pain. This pain is sadly often due to abuse by others. They don’t realize or accept that it only makes things worse. In many cases they are genetically pre-disposed for addiction, but don’t know it at the time. In some rare cases, even a single use means they are permanently hooked. Some people even die on an initial use. I don’t get it either, but for some their pain is so severe and immediate they can’t look at the big picture or think ahead far enough.

It's that many become alcohol and drug users because they are self-medicating. That's why when they get off the abuse of drugs/alcohol, they return to it. They need to get to the core of why they use. It's not easy to confront the inner demons, congratulations to those who can. Pray for mercy for those who can't, so that one day they can see. It doesn't matter if you are/were a rich and famous star, or just an ordinary person. Don't give up on hope to overcome,, and one day you will be free.

I think most feel like they are just a paycheck to many and don't care about them. We can never tell what another one is thinking. I’ve been in recovery for 15 years. When I joined AA one of the first things I was told to buy a black dress. So many of we addicts/alcoholics don’t make it out alive. 😢

Lots of very sad stories, plus some inspiring comeback stories. I have some visual artist friends, and I find really talented artists are often volatile, weird, and super focused on their art, to the detriment of everything else. They are incredibly talented, but those gifts are not the ones that allow for good money management and self-control. And we need these wild visionary people in our culture, to open doors and see things in different ways. I don't know what the answer is, but many artists would benefit from money and tax planning, and counselling and support.

"Absolutely, Jacque! Fame can definitely come with its own set of challenges. It's important to remember that anyone can find themselves in tough situations, and offering support can make a big difference. What are some ways you think we could better support those facing these challenges?"

As Children we sit in front of the T.V wishing that we were our favorite stars, not knowing or understanding the struggles they will face.... Listening to this puts the word envy into prospective, the moral of these stories is to thank God for being you, and love yourselves.

All i can say is WOW! I remember many of these shows. Damn, what a shame! I hope the film industry, accountants, parents, etc, who lined their pockets with plenty of money, take some ownership in the terrific downfall of these stars, and mainly, prevent this from repeating itself .
