Valerie, thanks for doing all you do.❤❤❤ Rescue is so hard for our small companion animals!! Those girls are super cute! And thank you for caring for those others for that family. Having been nearly in the same situation, worrying about our pets makes a horrible set of circumstances so much more heartbreaking. Again...thanks for being you and doing what you do!!❤❤❤

I agree with a comment here, back yard breeders and animal mills should be illegal, the government's, worldwide, need much stronger laws to protect wild and domestic animals. I'm so deeply sorry that it's so rough for you and all of these deserving animals 💕.

It’s hard when people are homeless, and they should not be ridiculed. All my piggies 18 of them are loved. Boys are separated from the girls and l only allow mating when there is a demand. Even adopted 3 of them. I have 4 babies to rehome but l usually don’t have any problems. I am in 🇦🇺 Australia.

Hi I'm a guinea pig breeder/shower and yes, those do look like the kind of transport cages we use to take them to shows. I've never liked how small the bays are, so I've made my own out of c and c panels with bigger bays for the guinea pigs to stay in for the day. To me, the heavily pregnant one looks like a purebred roan, the solids could be what we call in Australia "self" breeds, such as Self white, self black, Self buff, self chocolate. In USA I think they call them Americans then what ever color they are... ie, American buff, American white. The gold and white one looks like a mismarked dutch, but a lot of the bi and tri color ones don't look like any particular breed, unless the breeder was trying for a showable tricolor, which is extremely hard to get as the judges want straight lines between the colors and even patches. So now to the persons behavior. How irresponsible to just dump 20 guinea pigs then run away. Makes me angry as a responsible breeder. I mean at LEAST surrender them in person, don't chicken out. maybe they were afraid they would say no we can't take that many? I remember being at the vet with one of my animals, and a lady dumped a dog crate with three guinea pigs in it and ran! I suppose it's better than just turning them loose but still. what is wrong with people? I would NEVER do this. My guinea pigs are pets and family first, breeding and showing animals second.

How can we get to the root of the problem? Is any organization that fights against backyard breeding and selling animals at shops? Unless it becomes illegal and people get penalty for doing so I don’t see a solution to this horrible problem Same with bunnies and shooed don’t sell bunnies anymore Well, shelters are full of dogs and cats that get euthanized every day Government has to step in at this point

I just feel so bad - that poor mama could barely stand up (she was ready to give birth!) to eat her pellets. Did she give birth at your house? Or did she make it to SD first? Thank u for your mercy and love of these potatoes. They deserve the best!

Oh Val. I feel for you!over Memorial Day weekend. I took in two more females and one looks exactly like your (roan?)black mama. We’re drowning out here in Wisconsin too. in fact, I am trying desperately to get two pregnant females from this person on craigslist because I’m afraid for them even though our sanctuary is basically full and it’s in our house. We will say our paw prayers.

That bin cage was Ok for 2 mice , too small even for a dwarf hamster
