Gabe! Just wanted to thank you again for making this video. Seriously honored you'd even think to make it. Lately I've been pulling myself out of some negative self-talk. Like "Why am I still doing this?" "Do I even have anything else to say?" "Am I just washed up RU-vidr?" 😂 And seeing this video gave me all the good feels and reminded me of why we make videos. Matt I enjoy your channel & missed it when you take a break but you have no clue how many of us out here appreciate your hard work & all that you share. We're obviously in much different niches, but your channel was one of the ones that originally made me want to BE a RU-vidr... And a minimalist 😂I understand having negative self-talk, but I guarantee you've impacted so many more people than you know! 🙂

Such a great video Gabe!!! I appreciate you & Matt so much!! I love that you shared it’s okay to get ideas & copy how others did something then you try it too like (Matt videoing eggs then you did it). I worry too much about not doing something a friend or someone else on yt does bc I don’t want them to think I’m copying them but actually it’s an honor if you want to improve & grow and apply your gifts by learning how others do it. I’d love to grow my yt channel but am stuck at “just do it or just start & go for it”. Yeah I have almost 200 people😂. Haha that’s sooooo “minimalist” compared to you & Matt lol. I do want to build my channel & my community & quit worrying about all the steps & just take the next one. 😁. Thanks for inspiring me to go after what I want to do & use my gifts in such a way. I remember when I started to watch Matt on RU-vid, I've just broken up with my ex. I needed some support- and Minimalism was 60% what I wanted. A fresh start with an clean mindset.
Thanks to watching Matt's videos, I discovered your channel Gabe and Minimalism. I was in the middle of renovating my new house and wanted to declutter everything, I never knew how liberating it would be, especially as a working mum of two who also needs to keep the house clean and tidy! Watching all your videos and podcasts while cleaning and decluttering kept me motivated. Although I'm not quite where I want to be yet, I've got rid of so much stuff and now I really think about every new purchase before bringing anything new into the house. Even my boys are starting to understand the importance of it! 😅 Thank you and Matt for sharing your videos.
I own not that much stuff because it is less stuff that can break. No payments on stuff. I can save a lot of money doing that. I'm not the most comfortable in my apartment but I can pack up all my stuff in a car. Owning less is kind of nice!
One lesson I learned much too late that I want to impart, which will definitely save you stress and money if you’re in this situation: *You are better off BEING ALONE than with the WRONG PERSON* And that’s that. In a toxic relationship, or one where you feel like someone’s piggy bank and you’re being used? *DROP THEM* without hesitation. Do it now or (and trust me) you WILL regret it, and you’ll feel bad enough for not doing it sooner.

I can attest from being in The 5-Hour RU-vidr cohort for a total of about 48 hours that it is SO WORTH THE INVESTMENT and I've already learned soooo much. It's really an amazing opportunity and the course materials that Gabe and his team have developed are really top notch. I can NOT wait to up my RU-vid game!!! I agree too - getting in shape is such a life hack b/c it bleeds into bettering other areas of life... and it doesn't have to be that you work out every day... just do what is manageable, something is better than nothing, and consistency is key! My favorite line from this particular video was "If you ever wannna get lucky" HAHAHAHAHA. I can't wait for your interview next week with Matt! It must be soooo cool to be able to connect with and now INTERVIEW someone who inspired you and basically helped you become the person you are now! ..... I am thankful for you, Gabe!!
@@charlotte8512 girllllll I know I don't know you but if RU-vid is something you wanna do, THIS IS PROBABLY LITERALLY THE BEST WAY TO GET STARTED... you will get a mentor who already is doing the things and can help you to make less mistakes along the way. i'm like 2 days in and i've already gotten to hop on a zoom with Gabe while he was filming an ad and pick his brain, i've met so many awesome people in different stages of their youtube journey, and i've already gotten a better hold on the direction i'd like to take for my channel moving forward. the price is unbelievable for the value you will get. i've paid for mentors in other things like photography and real estate, and those have easily been between $2000 and $5000. this is a STEAL. like for real, and Gabe is not paying me to say any of this LOL. i just know from my own experience that it pays to have mentors b/c you get fast tracked on your path. i've gotten my investment back 10-fold in just 2 days LOLLLLLL. okay i'm getting off my soapbox now.

both you and Matt have taught me so much, I have been following him for years and he was the first to introduce me to minimalism... I have deactivated facebook, i have timers on my IG and tiktok as well. My wake-up is hella early on gym days( 4am) on other days it's 5am... I appreciate your content!

Question, Gabe. For filming this video: Did you script and create a story board. I mean it comes off seamless but I want to know how you interspersed stock b-roll, your personal b-roll with the frequent switch up of angles, locations etc. I assume all of this was very planned in advanve. And if so, how long was the planning? If you have a video on this, can you link it here? I can go look myself. Edit: right after I penned this comment, you answered a lot of my questions! lol

The only comment… surely if you’re wanting to produce on social media you rely on others to consume or you’d be producing pointlessly. It feels a little odd to say “reduce consumption on social media” while entirely relying on folk doing the opposite for your channel to survive. Perhaps “consume efficiently” is better than less.
I clicked on like for this video, which is a lovely homage to your mentor, but it makes you look derivative and suggests we might consider skipping you and going straight to Matt.
5HYT has pushed me already, the last 24 hours have been insane. Gabe is really teaching us, I don’t usually buy courses, as my first I am blown away at how great a mentor he is and the community that have come together. Finally investing in myself!🎉
