I‘ve waited for something like that. You‘ve done gods work when you did the same with Bloodstained. It just so happens that I‘ve resumed my Symphony of the Night playthrough after months and don‘t have a single clue where I am in the game. Thanks!
The "where the f*ck do I go and what the f*ck do I do now" feature has always been very prominent in Metroidvania games. You can expect to encounter it at least half a dozen times in every one you play. It's impossible to find everything you need to get a good ending without without a walkthrough.
One dumb question: How am I supposed to know I had to wait at the clock room to that left statue open? It's a very specific thing, does the game explain that for you?
@@roughy762004 are you sure it's the left? Because for the right one to open you need the clock power up to stop time. If it's the left you are talking about, I heard about a bug that the left statue doesn't open in a platform, maybe you could search about it
Pulled out my playstation after 20 years and was too glad to have this game!! Always loved the Castlevania series but just haven't played these in ages. Anyways, I got stuck and this helped much. I asked someone at a game store about playstation and if they carried any games. He said no but recommended me elsewhere. He was surprised that mine still worked and thought that was so cool I was bothering with it. Haha... I told him it was a bit dusty but still works and damned good fun. My Nintendo64 I pulled out too out of storage. Mario Kart is also righteous after all these years!! Cheers!! -- Dani
All these years I had no idea that there was anything beyond defeating Richter, and frankly the bad ending soured the game for me quite a bit. It's completely insane that they concealed a big chunk of the game like that. Time for another run with my PS4 version!
I’ve been following your guides for several Soulsborne games, Demons Souls remake introduced me to your channel. Imagine my surprise when I got stuck in SOTN and your video was a search result. You have good selection in games. Thanks once again for the videos.
when you push the button one of those skeleton guys spawns and break the platform in the room. i think that's meant to be a hint for you to put two and two together on how to break that one bridge.
I love Metroidvanias, so I wanted to try the dad of this fantastic genre. I was expecting a game shorter, simpler than most of the modern iterations, but at, roughly 60% completion I'm blown at what SOTN is. Probably the most beautiful metroidvania I've ever played(and I cannot stop myself from remembering to everyone that THIS is the FATHER of the entire genre alongside Super Metroid). Thanks for the amazing guide, I'm super excited about going in the inverted castle!
Always had my uncle tell me about this series and I loved the anime now that dbd did a collab with castlevania I got rondo of blood and symphony of the night and am hooked
YOOOOOO that's a great journey to the games! I was so bummed when the first anime series ended, but relieved when Nocturne was announced. I'm so hype for season 2. I really hope you play the other games and check out the collections that are out.
Cant believe i didnt play this game years ago. I thoguht nothing was gonna top super castlevania 4 but i was wrong. This games a fantastic. Thank you for such an easy and short guide. Best walkthrough video ive ever seen
I just played this game for the first time (even though I'm almost 20 years old) And........ this game has a lot of things that I couldn't have imagined, if I had played it before YT came out, I would have spent a whole month just tinkering with all of these things.
So turns out I had some sort of cursed Japanese Rom where the jewel of Open isn’t available from the shop/merchant/librarian… or at all… Also every enemy had about 30x the normal life pool which I learned when I downloaded a normal American Rom…. Also the double jump was located super early in the game in the alchemy lab… very cursed rom indeed. But I’m almost to Death & then Dracula from this guide on the non cursed American Rom. Cheers. Thank you I probably would’ve never ever ever gotten that far without the video. Thank you 🙏🏻
I went to the chapel and got an item but I could not go any further cause a wall was blockning me. So I got the soul of wolf and now I am lost where to go. Any pointers please?
i was born in '05 so i arrived a bit late to enjoy ps1 in its initial years. i decided to play this on an emulator and this guide helped me a lot during my playthrough, thanks!@
How do you "wing crush" or whatever you're saying? I assume it's something i have to get? I can't find a button combination that let's me fly like that.
I could’ve sworn I bought the jewel of open. Also playing on Japanese version and I can’t go through the blue door, nor can I find it in the librarians store or my inventory ugh….. what do I do?
I just played through this game and kept coming to what seemed like dead ends and had to watch some of this because there's no fucking way I could have figured out some of these things and they also kinda give you an ability to free roam so I often forced myself into places I wasn't supposed to be by cheering enemies or dying until I found away around them or actually got the hint and gave up that direction. Almost like I did everything opposite of how you set in this tutorial so by the time I was watching I just had to skip to that part watch you explain or show where to go and I was like "oh I definitely didn't see that"
I’ve been playing the Requiem edition and I’ve gotten all three trophies. For some reason they didn’t give me the trophy “Continue Simon’s quest”. Has this happened to anyone else or know how to fix this , I’d prefer not to replay the whole game again but if I have to I will.
That is quite bizarre. You've beaten SotN? If you have, then that's certainly a bug. I'm really sorry to say you might have to replay it. The game is a banger though and your second playthrough will go much faster!
I’m playing on ps1 emulator and am wondering how I can access the map? I’ve seen it pop up a couple times in the guide but I have pressed every button and nothing seems to work.
It should be the "Select" button. If you play with an XBox controller, it's usually set to be the "Back" button. Go have a look in the controller/input settings of your emulator to see which button "Select" is assigned to, or to reconfigure it if needed.
So sorry I missed this question! It's still possible. Go back to the room where you flipped the castle and press up on the d-pad. You'll go back to the regular castle.
I say it at that very second haha. It's only available in the Sega Saturn version of the game, and it opens after you get your stuff stolen by Death in the beginning of the game.
@@jackengrad if that's the one in the colosseum, you're supposed to press the floor switch to open the elevator there. Not really intended to go back the way you came there.
The prologue for this game is probably the worst prologue to ever exist, you just have to figure shit on yo own, TELL ME HOW TF I GOT STUCK IN THE PROLOGUE FOR HOURS, I BEAT HOLLOW KNIGHT🤦🏻♂️
