Up and under layups Extra step mid range jumpers CRAZY STEP BACK 😮😮 fluent spinning away from defenders Excellent court vision Can’t take nothing away from him he might just be top 5 today
Mark Price used to be very good in like 2-3 years, but he ain’t in the hall of fame. Wait until maybe another year of good performance carry team into winning their ring. Then we can talk about HOF
Too early to say for a hall of famer. But I agree he's a superstar now but he ain't reached that MEGA superstar status yet he's missing something. I believe he can be a must see in the future.
Soon as you turn your hips the same direction as his he spinnin off your ass or snatchin you back to hell. He's got such a perfect feel for it he does it so intuitively almost every possesion.
I’ve been watching the nba for about 10 years and this is the first time I’ve seen sga play I think because the popularity of the thunder ain’t there right now but hopefully it will get more popular
@@reckon7457 If you talk about Luka then I have to tell you he ain't aggressive at all. He outsmarts his opponent and is kinda smooth (or slow but effective).
@@PatoNani18 You probably not watching his games and just looks at the highlights. Luka is very physical uses his body against smaller guys if anything Shai is the smooth guy not forcing any contact at all. Watch his playoff games against the Clippers when most of his teammates are injured and he doesn't have anyone to rely on he took the game by himself. When the clippers tried every player against him he literally went straight to the basket and back anyone down including Kawhii. Took the series to 7 games against prime Kawhii and PG by himself.
He's so efficient. I feel like he gives exactly what is needed, doesn't seem like he jumps way in the air if he doesn't have to, takes extra time after a stepback, before a jumpshot. He takes just a fraction of extra time no one knew was there.
Yeah that’s what I’m noticing to. Cause at first it’s kinda confusing how he’s so good. He doesn’t seem incredibly athletic. He doesn’t seem to have an incredibly good jump shot. He doesn’t even seem like he’s got top tier handles. His finishing does jump out to me as being particularly good tho. Anyway I feel like he’s just good enough at everything combined with his decision making and he just gets whatever he wants all the time.
He is so clearly the MVP this season. There is no question. I just hope the voters look at it case by case because if you do, in my opinion the deserving winner of the 2023-24 MVP is clearly SGA.
2:35 I feel like that was a travel. It’s hard to tell because I’m not sure if the ball was out of his hand yet but doesn’t it seem like he hit the ground before he released the layup? (I’m aware this type of thing is literally never called btw)
Boy oh boy where do I even begin.... Shai honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you drive into the paint and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your lightning quick hands when you steal the ball. Your silky smooth touch around the rim, and that gorgeous jumpshot. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. You never gave up hope in your team even when they were tanking. Now the dawgs🐕 are the #1 seed. You are even amazing off the court, you're a great husband and soon to be father, sometimes I even call you dad. I forvever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your face❤.
What I see are incredible fundamentals. It’s the little things. Like Duncan, wasn’t flashy but these guys are extremely efficient. Super star, I see OKC starting a dynasty with all them picks too.
to me SGA looks like a bit slower but taller Iverson. specially the low dribble drive, crossovers, jumpshot, pullbacks, fade away to the left etc exactly Iverson moves tbh
i know this video is about SGA but for some reason watching is making me think.... we may never see another kyrie again or if we do it will be rare. his handles and finishing at the rim are truly incredible.
I know! He is just effective and understands the opponent’s! Smooth, fancy, pure art as some say! You guys are delusional and act like you never seen someone that works on his game. He probably puts the work, but he isn’t gracefully, not early as somewhat smooth like PG. I feel the same way about the claw! Very stiff, but he is effective.
Hell to the no! Nothing like Kobe, even his midrange isn’t like Kobe! He is too stiff with his moves! Not graceful! If you think soo like many of these comments in reading! You guys are blind asf! Lol
Well, these next-gen super star players just happen to be in small markets and on forgotten about teams - which are good for those teams. Also, sports tried to get you used to men with hyphenated names for rainbow marriage brainwashing.
Shai, Steph and Luka are best nba PG. Steph is best sniper, Shai is best defender and athletic PG and Luka is the smartest, one-man-army(a PG version of Jokic)and best offence player of the world! Let them all shine and get the best PO games this year! Pray to God that the real MVP wins, not because of the referees!...🎉😇😅
@@stormspinner9000Why do you have to make that distinction? Luka may be better at some things but he's not as athletic as SGA, it's a pretty even matchup
@@louiehunter6490 athleticism doesn't determine how great a player is on its own, zion basically beats everyone there but isn't even a top 5 player. You can't use that on its own. It's just a way to predict how good a player will be
I get what you mean but I don’t think it makes his game any less beautiful. It’s a different style; shifty guard relying on his change of speed, driving angles, crafty finishes and amazing footwork. His post work and midrange game has become so polished, you can see the Kobe influence in his game.
I don’t think you realize how good he is at creating his own shots, and his finesse from the midrange to the painted area. I’ve seen him convert so many shots when there’s almost nothing there to work with because he has so many counters to evade defenses.
Jokic is literally one of the most boring 40 points you’ll ever watch. Luka I’m with u. But you saying luka and jokic is crazy. You gotta be trolling or racist or stupid
Most Valuable on OKC...barely. Does his role, like a well trained dog. The amount that whistle blows...yuck. He doesn't even pop up on an 'Eye Test' as you are simply watching a well trained dog, which can have its wow factor at times but at the end of the day we like watching soul. Payton Pritchard has more soul...
Oh shut up. The facts are he doesn't get an extreme amount of free throws. He drives more than anyone in the league and he's not even leading in free throws. Stop with this stupid BS. he just scored 33 with 4 free throws 2 being from a technical foul. You don't know anything about shai or OKC.
