So basically you have to be extremely pretty or to be extremely weird or unique to be called beautiful in the modeling industry. While us ordinary beings are potatoes.
Beauty is subjective. I believe we are all beautiful human beings. If we love ourselves even as basic potatoes the world will see that self appreciation that makes common potatoes into something more gorgeous.
Well there has to be a reason you stand out in order for them to choose you to model but we shouldn’t let the modeling industry define what beauty is anyway. You don’t need to be a model to feel beautiful.
Digital artists are a thing. Digital modeling is a thing. I personally don't see the issue. Artists profit off of what they're creating. It's not like he's stealing someone else's job?
Crimson how is it not stealing someone’s job when a real model could have been used gained her recognition, and a paycheck?? Also hun this is my opinion. That’s yours. And please show me where I said digital modeling isn’t a thing ? Read a comment before you reply to it sweetie
I personally have no problem with it, in fact I think it's pretty cool. I don't see why ppl are so offended and hurt by a digital model cus the artist is making bank and, like one of the comments before said, it's not taking jobs but to each their own I guess 🤷🏾♀️
@@missprettyschannel You do not know anybody's struggles, period. Acne is literally the least of all my health related problems. Not that you care, of course. You're just looking to put others down. Of course, I am merely assuming. Like you did.
@@avvidream582 they're looking to put others down when your complaining about people with acne being models. Okaaaaay. If they can be a model they can go to the dermatologist and get that shot that makes the acne go away the next day.
“5’5 - One of the shortest super models!” 5’5 is the average height of a woman, she’s not short at all. She’s just average. Kind of sad that models are so tall that an average sized one is “super short!!1!”
In the modeling world 5'5 is very short. Just like a size 6 is normal and actually considered thin in the real world but would be considered plus size in the modeling world .
Queen B - I never realised that "5'5 is short. I remember year's ago that a pair of Jean's had to be turned up because they didn't do a size 29" on the inside leg in those day's. So people like me at "5'4' alway's had sewed up hem's ; on the inside that looked chunky, which was not a good look, especially in club's with strobe lighting. I wore white Jean's to a club in Blackpool one night and looked at myself dancing in the mirrored wall's and you could see right through the Jean's and my 5inch turned up (on inside) hem's, and I was mortified at my hem's and also that I actually looked in a mirror while dancing in a club. 😂👍
Just wanted to say, having albinism dosen’t just make you unique, it makes you look so beautiful that if you walk into a room, you make everyone smile. Having a Dark Skin makes you look again beautiful and unique because nobody can be compared to you, It dosen’t matter what skin color you are, nobody can be compared to you, you are yourself and unique even if you don’t think so.
Lesia Hatake but not in the 'cookie cutter' standard way thr modeling industry is used to accepting. Most of these comments are not taking into consideration that the perspective here is the modeling industry, not everyday life.
Ikr🙄 it's like you are a bit chubbier, taller, different facial features/ skin tones,or even being a virtual women makes them so different... Like I support them but they're not quote on quote "unique" y'know
christianELragan Roblox (sigh) Does anyone on this thread understand what 'context' means? They are unique in the MODELING INDUSTRY. Up until quite recently, the fashion industry only endorsed ONE look; tall, extremely thin, 90% white. And less than 1% of humanity looks like that. This isn't some SJW movement, this is about SELLING HIGH-END FASHION and people won't buy it if they think 'wow, that would only look good on somebody with her (figure, skin color, hair texture, etc.). ' They are broadening their market, that is what this is about. They don't need your 'support,' or your sympathy, or your judgment, this is about selling clothes to a global market.
4:41 I think it's a bad idea. There are plenty of beautiful models in the world, so I don't think there is a need for a digital supermodel now, nor sometime in the near future.
Looks like you dont know what context means, they are talking about the modeleing industry not real life, you wont see people with these features in the modeling industry, thats why they are called rare
Can we stop calling literally every model a supermodel? Yes they are gorgeous, talented, beautiful and unique. But not everyone is on the level of success and fame supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford or Kate Moss are.
@@atelierirae Yah, they are not considering the fact that this is in the perspective of the modeling industry and not everyday life just as stated in another comment. Seriously tho....
I dont at all feel bad for being confused when I dont immediately know what gender someone is. It's normal. I'm done with people demonizing anybody that doesnt immediately know the answer or the latest terminology that we have been forced to accept. I will continue to not feel bad.
Hi there! I know how you feel, and I get that it can be weird or confusing. However, it's not new terminology. People have actually been using singular they/them pronouns since the thirteenth century! I'm non binary, and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. However, no one should have any shame for not understanding or immediately knowing my gender or pronouns. It's normal to be confused, and it's normal to be accepting! Don't take any sh*t from other people, just try to bekind and accepting to everyone, even if it takes some time :)
@@crispychris8399 if your stance was the norm, we would all be in a better place. Sadly, you are the exception. Your response is much appreciated and I hope more people have time to read this thread.
@@johnstoneb Thank you- I'm glad that you had honesty in your comment. Seriously, I know some people who would be like "oMg WhAt A bIgOt" if they saw that, which is completely untrue. Not everyone knows everything about pronouns and stuff. Kindness and understanding is all that people are asking for, and it might not always come naturally, but anything can be learned if it is taught. If no one is open to educating others, than no wonder those people might receive some hate. Everyone should be open and kind, and hopefully it can be like that one day! Also it's almost 11 pm where I live so I should probably get going. Bye! :)
I’m trans and I really don’t give any fucks what people may or may not think “I am”. Being confused is not a crime ✌️It’s only when somebody gets to know you that it gets important to accept, respect and keep track of pronouns etc. Of course you should not feel bad. And I choose someone being confused over someone getting their mind set on what they think they know (and refusing to learn) in a second, every day of the week.
Beginning of video: “These *women* are changing the face of the modeling industry.” 1 minute later: “Rain is a gender-nonconforming model.” The Talko just contradicted itself. (Should have just said “These *individuals* are changing the face of modeling.”)
Bruh Rain is a woman if you would say by Rain's body. Rain has boobs and woman private part so technically she's a woman. But she has a hella good looking man's face lol
Her SEX is female (she is transgender) She has a female body. Her GENDER is non-binary. When in doubt, it is perfectly polite to ask a person which pronoun they prefer.
I personally think albino people are perfect for modelling job, I mean they're just so pale like blank canvas, they could be makeup model, fashion model, anything, they're the perfect blank canvas and I think that's so awesome
So let me get this straight, you have to be REAALLY pretty with ocean blue eyes or grass green eyes and blonde hair ORRRR you have to have a condition to be beautiful
@@southparkseason7episode119 yes you are don't put yourself down all of as are different I'm different but a good different you are different there is only one of you on Earth so love you're self
My brother had got burned by grease and ever since he started school at 5 years old kids started staring at him all the time and I didnt like it but two years he's been to school I got over it and even though they still stare at him I still love him and he doesnt care if they stare at him but he made a while bunch of friends and got so popular at school
Idk, I understand of course but Shudu isn’t really taking away anyone’s job, she can’t walk an actual run way, or showcase any designers work, unless they start using projectors. She is more of a eye apealling fantasy
Unique? Yes. All of the them beautiful? No. It's time where we're allowed to have that opinion. We can accept people without calling everyone "beautiful."
Personally, I found most of them to be quite attractive in some form or fashion but it's subjective and I agree with your point. If everyone is beautiful, no one is anyway.
The whole digital model thing is controversial but I see the issue, because these digital models are robbing men and women just alike of opportunities.
Soooo I’m visually impaired, I’ve got spots on my face, I have a case of lazy eye, I am extremely tall but a female, I’m pretty ordinary. Yup, can’t be beautiful because I’m just your ordinary female. “Oh no, my eyes aren’t large, I dont have any disorders, no vitiligo, I have acne, I’m not going to be a model any time soon.” Expect people to say that in the future.
I'm a girl,14 years old ,and 5ft 11in talk 😂 I didn't know it was that different or weird. I tower of all the girls but I don't think it's that weird sense there are guys in my grade who are 6ft - 6ft 4in
Madeleine stuart it just so stunning, love the diversity... people with similar disabilities or disadvantaged in life need to be given the motivation to become models and also be accepted for who they are!
Anok is gorgeous. I feel her on the other end of the spectrum. I'm extremely pale and although I've finally found a foundation to match, even translucent powders turn me orange 😔
