I swear by waking up before the kids. As an introvert I need this energy replenishing time. It sets me up to “people” all day and genuinely makes me a calmer and more present mum. surlespasdondine yep. I’m up at 4:30am - but - it’s taken years to get to here. It’s a season of life thing. Your toddler will grow and become more independent. It also works for our household because of the hours my husband works. You might get your energy replenishment from nap times? My kids don’t nap any more. Also - if my pre-schooler wakes up with me - I set him up with an independent task until I can be present with him. Hang in there. X
I wake up one hour before I wake up the kids. By that time I had my coffee, had my shower, put my makeup on while watching something I like on YouTupe and have the breakfast ready. From that time on, it’s mostly about getting the kids ready. I can’t have a nervous morning, I can’t feel like I might be late etc. I don’t value the hour of sleep more than how it helps me to have a better start of my/our day.

I have two girls, a 3.75 year old, and a 9 week old baby. I’m a stay at home mom who’s husband is away a lot for work. I feel like I am in over my head and all of these tips and organization seem to overwhelming to me. You’re an amazing mother and SO organized. I admire you and wish I had my life that together. Every day I feel like I’m failing.
Catherine..you are doing your best as a mom and that is all that matters. We can always improve everyday but don't ever think you are not doing your best. It is not easy but it's worth it. :)
I wake up every morning before 5am before my alarm goes off even. I come down put heating on and have two glasses of water just chill for about 5 mins and I have all breakfast so plates bowls spoons glasses cups cereal fruit nuts juice and water on the table I mAke my cup of tea also plus I keep eggs to boil we have one each that’s four eggs and everything is always ready thd night before with bags school uniform etc. Kids start coming find by 6am so it’s breakfast then by 6.20 it’s time to change for uniform inc dicks no shoes or jumpers yet we pray at 7am do by then they put dirty clothes in wash pray then it’s shoes and jumpers 20 min play time. 7.30 coats on brushed teeth and 7.50 is tv time. And that gives me enough time to get ready myself clean kitchen breakfast stuff put one load on and do hoover. Out the door my 8.30 always. At 5am I have one banana three dates and two glasses of water. Then it gives me 30 mins to check my emails etc then I always put my phone away. We as parents and carers have to lead by example. Kids know what is expected of them before they get tv and if any one thing is not complete then they don’t get screen time. The kids know more about house routine etc more than my husband.
Setting up breakfast the night before is an amazing idea! I love waking up before Leo it’s nice to get up and enjoy my morning and get prepared for the day 😁💖 although it’s a rare luxury 😂 xx
Thank you for these morning hacks Emily. The hack that has helped me the most is getting up 2 hours before my child. I find that I can get a lot done in that 2 hours and I am alot less stressed because I am not dashing around.

Thanks for some great ideas but especially for sharing how you can’t get out of bed as your child will wake up. I am in the same boat with my youngest daughter so now I use that time between when I wake up and when I can actually get out of bed to plan my day, week and meals on my phone.
Yes yes yes! I do so many of these! Hanging organiser - I’ve been doing this once a week for my little one. My big one sorts school uniform and putting them in piles per day into his drawers. Definitely use timed alarms to prompt us to be on time. I love the chore chart idea. Will download.

I really dont like Tiffany's videos, they are too long and boring, but i love yours, so nicely put together, just the right length, and rhe content are always great!! Get lots of great ideas about everything, my boy is 1year old and my other baby is arriving in 3 weeks.... :)
Nice tips but how do you manage all of that at night? ( look out outfits, school bags packed lunches, prep breakfast shower and dry hair) along with putting kids to bed and I know you always say you like to clean and tidy up. My son goes to bed around 8 /8.30 I would never get all of that done. I definitely need more hours in the day xx
I am a mom of 3 boys, soon to be 4, and I still find stuff that I did not know in your vids like the pancake in the fridge and the weekly clothe organizer! Will totally do that because our mornings are chaotic!!

Love the hack videos, Emily! Please do more! I have 3 kids and due with the 4th in a few weeks. I do lots of these as well. Love keeping hair supplies and toothbrushes in the kitchen! Also, to get my kids out the door on time to get their bus at 8am, I have them sleep in the clothes they plan on wearing the next morning! Saves so much time!

I struggle to get up early, been this way since pregnant with my middle, which is a shame as I used to be such an early bird, however I do have kids that love to sleep in too. But if I manage to get up early ish, I can so much as breath and at least one of them will wake up with me 😑
I always make a bunch of pancakes ( plane, with berrys and with chocolate chips) ahead and then I freeze them. When the kids want them, they just have to stick them in the toaster.

I love all these hacks and do alot of these and I can say they do work in making mum life easier. I find to do lists so satisfying that my first job in the morning is writing my to do list whilst having my first cup of tea to wake myself up 🤣 Another great video Emily 😊
