i've had 22 piercings over the last 12 years and something i've learned the hard way: try not to use hydrogen peroxide on a fresh piercing because it kills the new healthy cells you want, stick to a saline solution and hot water soaks (get a washcloth and run it under hot water, then soak your piercing for 5-10 minutes, depending on how badly it's hurting). worked wonders for me!

FYI when you get a piercing on the ear (industrial, conch, etc) sleep on a circle travel pillow. Being U shaped, you put your ear inside the U and it takes the pressure off of the piercing. I had my conch pierced in November and had lots of trouble because I sleep on that side. I got my industrial done last Wednesday and my piercer shared the travel pillow secret, so i went got a travel pillow and it’s much better. The irritation that comes with sleeping on a fresh cartilage piercing no longer exists

I don’t know why everyone is dragging you for your nose piercing sticking out I actually thought it looked really cool.🥰

The reason using a gun takes longer to heal, causes more trauma and may even shatter your cartilage is because the guns literally shoots the earing through the ear. The earing has a blunt end it does not have a sharp surgical end to properly puncture the skin the way the needle does. Forcing such a dull jewelry into your flesh even at such a high speed causes A LOT of trauma. On another note they are not 100% sterile, theyre not entirely made out of metal so you cannot put them in a sterilizer. -A professional body piercer

Sleeping on a travel pillow helps with sleeping on your piercing, it keeps it from touching your pillow!

So funny how everyone is different. The pain and healing you talked about with your rook is how I felt with my conch. My conch area is super thick so it was a bitch to heal! It’s my most problematic ear piercing. My upper helix’s are more thin so they didn’t bother me as much. Just shows how ear anatomy can be so different on everyone!

My nose piercing was literally the easiest out of all of them and I felt like it healed within a week 😬 just goes to show you everyone really does have different pain tolerance! 😊❤️

I didn’t get my nose but I got a septum. I just wanna say - you will shed a small tear but it lasts a solid 2 seconds and the pain dies after a day

i wanted to get a smiley to go with my septum, BUT i have fear of it ripping out so i opted for a medusa instead. SO MUCH CUTERRRRRR. I think nose rings and smileys are perfect together and septums with medusas are a match made in heaven. your face piercings are perfectly paired

My rook didn't hurt to get pierced but I am going on almost a YEAR of healing and it's still not healed. I want more piercings but I can't handle the healing time. It's torture!

I got my rook pierced 2 days ago and it hurt like shit but the healing process is going well so far and hopefully it continues to! Tip - dilute tea tree oil and apply to your piercings it’s a natural antiseptic ☺️

As someone who has gotten more than one cartilage piercing on both ears on the same day, travel pillows are your best friend. Sleep with your ear in the hole.

For my rook, the piercing pain was a 1 out of 10 and the healing pain was a 3 out of 10 it really goes to show how everyone is so different when it comes to these things!

I just got my rook pierced a week ago and it’s honestly been completely fine , i got two 2nd lobe piercings done at the same time and I would honestly say they hurt more , I hope it dosent take as long to heal though 😩

I’ve had my smiley for 3+ years now, I love it cause not many people know about it or see it unless I show them, but you don’t have to take it out just change it to a short curved barbell so it doesn’t bother your enamel, I’ve gotten xrays of my teeth and mine is perfectly fine

I love all your piercings!!!!! I remember my rook was the least painful out of all my piercings. It stopped hurting after a day and healing was sooooo easy and had no trouble at all. My upper cartilage that was pierced with a gun was definitely the worst for pain n healing 😫

Huge thing I found that helped when I got piercings on both ears at the same time is sleep on a neck pillow! You can stick your ear in the hole of the pillow and it lifts your ear up so you’re not directly laying on it and squishing it. Then you can sleep on whatever side you want!

Omg your piercings are goals! I currently have stretched lobes, second lobes, two helix, conch, Daith and industrial. My septum and nose rejected. Started my piercings journey in December 19. Piercings are so addictive.

I ALWAYS get mirror peircings. Everyone is different. 6 face eyebrow, nostril, septum, Monroe,angel kiss vertical labret toungue, 2 tragus, 2 forward helix, conch, orbital, industrials and I wear glasses just fine, 3 lobe, 3 mid lobe, 4 cartilage below industrial, and belly for a total of 40 and none hurt. And any peircings dealing with the nose will cause your eyes to water due to nerves. Also peircings heal better with a needle because the peircings fill the hole where tissue is removed, with a gun you are forcing an object into a place where the skin is just pushed away.

GIRL! I have the surface tragus and felt COMPLETELY different. I felt like the whole piercing and healing process was a 1/10!! The only thing that got to me was the sound. Other than that it was smooth! My belly button on the other hand STUNG and hurt!!!! I got them the same day.

She did not lie about that room piercing. Definitely my most painful piercing and took forever to heal. 😩 Tip: use TCP antiseptic to clean your piercings it’s amazing (can be used orally too)
