They should be praying not choosing between deaths.
When I wasn’t saved I was a feminist stemming from resentment and anger towards men for serious abuse I’d experienced throughout my life. When I got saved, God completely transformed me! I forgave those who never even sought forgiveness from me. I prayed for their well-being and salvation. I’m so thankful to my Lord Jesus for the forgiveness, grace and love he’s given me that now overflows to others. I’m in awe!
I believe you were probably a liberal feminist. Liberal feminists are angry, politically ineffective, and very pro trans. That isn't feminism. Feminism is about women being able to vote, marital rape being illegal, women being allowed to finish school and go to university, safe single sex spaces and sports for girls, stopping the sex trade, bringing down the porn industry, and generally rejecting unhealthy sexual behaviour as well the over-sexualisation of women in our society. These issues are important, and only feminists have been able to create progress with them so far. The Nordic model? Feminists. Reducing abuse and rape content on Prnh*b? Feminists. Campaigning for women's sports while the trans movement tries to steal them? Feminists. Single sex bathrooms in schools? Feminists. Before Matt Walsh, feminists had been saying what he says about the trans movement since the 1970s. Nobody listens to feminists, though, which is why there was limited awareness for so long. That's how it got as bad as it did. So, as Christians we shouldn't put anything above God. That includes involvement in human rights work. But it's our job as women to understand the history and not shallowly throw the baby out with the bathwater. Because in the end we're the only ones looking out for each other. Christ first. Love of God, and THEN love of neighbour. As Christians we should already, by default, adhere to many of feminism's social teachings. Knowing this is important.
I loved hearing about how God transformed you because it shows His power of regeneration to the world and to those who haven't experienced being born again and to those who might not be but think they are...It can take time with our sanctification as we know but there is definitely a noticeable change of someone's attitude and treatment to others...When God gives you a new heart and spirit, that is the greatest gift to us from Him and no greater miracle in us from our Lord...

"Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus." He is with the Lord now but his writings are available and some of his apologetic work as a Christian is published here on RU-vid.

Hey Mike i hope you get to read this, I have been watching your videos for years and have watched every one up to date. I want you to know what a profound impact you have had, on not only my growth in Christ but also my marriage and my children's foundation. I came from a broken home and when it came time for me build my own home and family, what i needed most was to "Learn to think biblically about everything" and to mature as a Christian and your channel and method of teaching were a true blessing. Your Jesus in the Old Testament series, was an answer to my prayer of "Help my Unbelief" and is an absolute triumph. Seldom has anything in my life had the same impact, still to this day when in my fellowship we are speaking about truly great Christian works i hold it up with, Mere Christianity, Pilgrams Progress and Billy Graham's Sermons, as something i recommend to everyone. It has led me to what i believes is my calling. I just wanted to thank you for serving the Kingdom, you are fighting the good fight and I pray God blesses you and your family man! As a Christian youth going to school surrounded by modern feminists, people affirming critical theory, and some mocking the faith, it's kind of like every school day is an inner battle. I grieve for them and I do want to have an opportunity to challenge their thinking, although the fear of being ostracized is indeed there. I praise God for these kind of content and community that helps edify someone like me who's surrounded by the confusing culture nowadays.
My personal experience with feminism in the Church was in the ELCA church, when after 15 years of ordaining female "pastors" and "bishops" they decided to ordain homosexual "pastors", that's when I left the denomination.
@@vanessaloy1049 ordaining women pastors is against scripture and the Assemblies of GOD have other problems like failing to test the spirits and teaching that tongues is the sign of being full of the Holy Spirit. Not saying don’t go there every denomination has it’s issues. We left for sure. Because ordaining women is against scripture that is why it’s a red flag.

I think it's also important to note that 1 cor 14 I believe is talking about desiring gifts in the gathering of believers. I think we should pray for individual gifting, but we definitely should pray for all the gifts to be represented in our gathering. Just food for thought.

Watching the replay and question 8 - I would think that, as we walk closer and closer to the Lord, we see/experience and do battle with our sin on a finer level. Like, the more we learn and know and come to understand, even the smallest things, that, before, might have gone unnoticed, because they were perhaps not 'big' things. come to our attention and we get upset that it's there. This week, I wanted to share something with a co-worker. I argued with myself, flesh vs wisdom, what I wanted to relay was somewhat pertinent, but I came to see it came from a place of gossip, and I kept the information to myself. I've been doing a lot of reflection and inner questioning and I wonder if that's the perspective Paul was coming from. The daily fails, though many might say they're little, don't sweat them, grieve me. I want to do better, be better, but I'm still human. That's not a cop out, it's just a fact. I am growing and I think we grow until death, hopefully. Does that make sense?
#8 I’ve never heard it taught as before salvation. As a Christian, we still have that sin nature to the extent we do still wrestle with our will vs. our new life in Christ Jesus. Paul wasn’t superhuman, he was just like us. Now we can take some comfort in that BUT we must do as Paul did. Praise God that Jesus has overcome sin and death and we should press toward the mark of the high calling of Christ.
Re: question 8 I agree with you. I used to feel offended as a believer at the thought of my capacity to do wrong. I have since come to learn and accept that that mentality is dangerous. Christianity is worked out. your relationship with God is worked out. as a believer, you will experience the war in your flesh - which is why we must die daily.

Glad what you said about the Corporate Entities of Certain Denominations that are EVIL (The Leadership in the Methodist Church, Lutheran Church, etc..), but many of those churches that Identify with that Denomination are NOT ALL necessarily Evil. ..and are filled with Bible Believing Christians, etc..Thank you for bringing that up, Mike.
Pastor Mike, I want to echo others when I say how blessed I am through your teaching. Been a believer over 20 years and never understood the differences in views from pre mil, post mil and a mil eschatology. Went back and listened to your teaching and it really became more clear although still a complicated topic. Revelation has always been difficult for me to study. I pray for wisdom in this area. 😊

Yes, there's a difference between a time period (of variable length) that 'straddles' three different CALENDAR days and a time period that exactly 'occupies' three night-day Earth rotation cycles (72 hours total). Even today, when we say 'I did such and such THREE DAYS AGO' we could also mean either numbered calendar days OR three 24-hour time periods ago. Both meanings are valid, though the numbered calendar day designation is less precise.

Nooo, I missed it. I'll try again next week. For those interested, I wanted to ask about the fear of torture. I know the Bible calls us to sacrifice our lives if need be, but often I feel as if I would not have the strength to endure extreme pain and suffering from someone who wanted me to denounce my faith in Christ. I know it's not a likely occurrence in our culture, but it still feels wrong to not be more confident.
That's never going to happen. That's a fairytale they tell each other in church. You may be very young. It's about scaring and controlling church goers. Christians have the world on a string, and the others, if given, wouldn't do to them what they did to everyone else.

I struggled with this same fear, then beat myself up for not having enough trust in God to be with me always. Reading Fox Book of Martyrs and studying deeply the Biblical stories of those who suffered made me see that God equips us exactly and only as we need it. He's never late, and He's never early. I identify with the father who said to Jesus, "I believe, please help my unbelief! "
Corrie ten Boom also had this fear and voiced it yo her father: “Daddy,” she had said one day, “I am afraid that I will never be strong enough to be a martyr for Jesus Christ.” “Tell me,” her father wisely responded, “when you take a train trip from Haarlem to Amsterdam, when do I give you the money for the ticket? Three weeks before?” “No, Daddy, you give me the money for the ticket just before we get on the train.” “That is right,” he replied, “and so it is with God’s strength. I am in the UK. I did a full time Degree in Intercultural Missiology. I remained in the UK but 'Church' here is not interested in learning about this biblical perpective despite our Church collapsing and clearly needing to understand how to relate the Gospel to a smorgorsboard of cultures. We have friends who planted a church in Cambodia and returned to the UK. THey tried to fit into local church and ended up starting their own house church. We have felt called the last 6 months to pioneer and this opportunity was a surprise. Many 'churches' and leaders have no interest in the training my wife and I undertook and there is a particular problem generally in Biblical literacy and discipleship. IOW getting current leaders support is quite controversial. We are not 20 something which seems to be the leadership grp predominantly - we are 50 something. Our view is that we are in a Post Christian - Christian culture - and people who know us over time are supportive but appreciate this is difficult to understand.

Feminism, as defined in my college sociology class, is the belief that men and women are equal in value as human beings. The problems come in when feminism becomes conflated with misandry, the hatred or anger at men because they have male DNA.
It's much sooner then that the problem comes in. When he said equal (same opportunity) he might have meant equitable (same outcome) as feminism tends to be the latter. The issue is every person is different, and certainly men and women are different. So in order to get the same outcome, discrimination is required. See gender quotas as an example, they set aside so many positions for curtain gender to get the same outcome. Yet with these quotas the questions of how many applicants of each gender to the position isn't even asked. Underneath it is the belief that actions shouldn't have consequences, as equity is just the positive framing of that. If everyone receives the same outcome regardless, then I can act however I want. I see that as the philosophy pushing the movement, while misandry is more of a byproduct of the "you can't succeed because men" narrative that tends to come up in these discussions.
Regarding the 3 days/3 nights question, based on my quick glance at this, the only place (in the new testament) where 3 days and 3 nights is mentioned is when Jesus says, and I'm paraphrasing: as Jonah was in the belly of the fish for 3 days and 3 nights, so will the son of man be in the belly of sheol for 3 days and 3 nights. All the other times, the phrase is "on the third day". So I will agree with Mike's interpretation that the phrase is an idiom and isn't meant to be taken literally.

I had no idea your example of the 9/11 victims would affect me so much. Being born and raised in church, I was always taught that committing suicide was a sin under any and every circumstance. That people were automatically sent to hell no matter what if they committed suicide. So watching those people jump on TV as a teenager just wrecked me, and I struggled with those thoughts ever since. I always felt that God should have mercy on them because had they not jumped, they were going to die anyways a few moments later. Thank you for the peace of mind after 21 years of no answers. I'm so grateful for your ministry! Thank you for allowing God to use you as a vessel for the body!
Why would any person who committed suicide go to hell as long as they believed in Christ? Suicide is a sin yes. However God said all sin is equal to him and that if you commit one sin you have committed them all. Since we've all sinned. In God's eyes we have committed sins equal of suicide and we have committed the sin of suicide. If someone would go to hell purely for commiting suicide. Then you would be arguing against the Bible as you are now denying all sin is equal and that we are all guilty of every sin. You would also be rejecting the Idea that Christ can forgive all sinners(as going to hell would mean Christ didn't forgive the sin of suicide)
Even the part of a day explanation for 3 days and nights only gives you 2 days and 2 nights. The Wednesday explanation gives 3 days and 3 nights as the sign of Jonah implies, it explains why "after the sabbath"(first day of unleavened bread) the women bought and prepared spices, and then "after the sabbath" (the weekly sabbath) they went to the tomb, and it lines up to fulfill all 3 feasts that take place at that time.
Jesus died Friday before sundown. That’s one day. Saturday is another. Sunday, on a Jewish timeline, starts at Sundown on Saturday evening, so that’s another day. The Jewish idiom only requires some part of each day.
@@MikeWinger Jesus did not die Friday, as Dan. 9:27 specifically prophesied that the Messiah would die in the middle of the week. Friday is clearly not in the middle of the week. The Good Friday defense is a classic case of what Christ was talking about in Mar. 7: rejecting God's commandments to uphold false traditions. The Good Friday justifications clearly doesn't hold up under biblical or logical scrutiny.
@@MikeWingerfor what it's worth in the gospel accounts one of them says that the women bought and prep the spices after the Sabbath while in the other gospel account it says they did it before the Sabbath. Now if we take that as literal inerrant scripture not some mess up or something along those lines then we have to have a day that is in between two different Sabbaths. And if it was crucified on Wednesday then it's a fills those passages as a Thursday would be a high annual Sabbath with Friday in between Thursday and the weekly Sabbath. This wouldn't negate the scriptures that claimed that the ladies bought the spices both before and also after Sabbath. The only way I can see to get around that is to say that the scriptures were incorrect, if there is another way I have yet to hear it. If you have I sincerely would love to hear it! God bless!
A huge factor to me in understanding the order if creation is understanding the fall. If death entered the word through Adam's sin, then death could not have occurred before Adam's creation. I understand Mike's perspective in not wanting to delve into this debate, but as parents, we must equip our children with truth, including scientific truth. The more I learn, the more I realize I don't know, but this issue is valuable and worth pursuing.

For question 7, I heard from pastor Preston Morrison at Pillar Church that just like in a marriage relationship, if there is an offense (or (unrepentant) that you are refusing to come address in your intimate relationship with God, then don't be surprised if you hear crickets (or silence) from him on his side. Now obviously you can always start with the blood of christ to "set the tone" of you addressing it, and he also never left you, but it is very much like receiving the "silent treatment" from a spouse for unaddressed issue that are drawing you away from him. He is also respecting your free will to draw away from him in your sin/ not addressing his leadings in your heart. Just some food for thought to add to what Mike already said. Flesh vs spirit is about where we see our eyes-that is, on the things of the flesh or the spirit. We can and do shift our eyes this way, less and less on the flesh as we go from glory to glory in our transformation into the likeness of the Christ
Thank you Mike for your stance on the gifts I believe they continue and I think I operate in some of them but I am very cautious there has been so much abuse and hardly any discernment of spirits. Too much teaching on the gifts not enough on spiritual Christian living.

A question about the Moral Argument (sibling to the problem of evil) and why having many reasons for faith. How does the idea of morality and good compare when it could be a product of "Social Cooperation"? The idea is that living in a community fosters the need for "Social Cooperation" and that the human idea of "Good and Evil" is just an evolutionary product "Social Cooperation". The RU-vid channel Veritasium has a video about how even in a computer simulation kindness/cooperation wins over selfishness in "the prisoner dilemma."
I think #8 was answered perfectly, but the best scenario to contextualize it would be that of a heroin addict with a physical dependency on a drug being saved and then fighting to overcome the addiction they had grown so accustomed to. As an addict myself (of a different nature) I'm glad that Paul understood how addictive sin in and of itself can be despite having been a Pharisee of Pharisees enough to pen that chapter and admit to his weakness even in the midst of God using him for great purposes. It gives me hope that one day, this addiction WILL be overcome, and in the not-so-distant future, that living in the Spirit grants victory
Mike, Regarding question 14, I believe the best answer is mathematical. At Jesus' time, there was no concept of 'zero' so you started counting at 1. For us, if something happened on Friday, that is the zero origin so we go to Saturday - 1, Sunday - 2, Monday - 3. But in Jesus' day, Friday is 1, Saturday is 2, and Sunday is 3. No hermeneutic gymnastics required, our understanding is influenced by a different mathematical construct.
With regard to 1 Cor 13:1 and submission in the face of behavioral abuse (Question 11); You are correct in first determining whether this is a present threat of behavioral abuse or an abuse which is indeed in the past & not a present threat as in the case of true repentance. The problem is exactly that, whether or not true repentance is present on the part of the offender. In short, this is an issue of trust. Is there reason or rationale to trust one who exhibited abusuve behavior in the past? That being said, for the one who was the recipient of abusive behavior, the discernment of whether to again trust the previous offender belongs to the recipient alone, a matter to be reconciled biblically. The point of when, or even if, trust may (or may not) be restored is their step of faith to walk. Thank you for doing these "20 Questions" streams.
In reference to Romans Ch. 7: How I understand it is this...We were born into sin. By our nature we're attracted to sinful things and actions. But, we are born again in our spirit to and called to obedience to God's commands through Grace from the action of Jesus who fulfilled the law. We are still tempted in our flesh to sin, but if we keep the Word we can obey because the spirit of the Lord overcomes the flesh. I hope that makes since.
I love and respect Pastor Mike Winger as a brother in Christ and am greatly blessed by much of your channel's content. I also know you genuinely desire to think biblically about everything. To that end, I have a couple of responses to questions 14 and 15 where I am confident you can come to a fully biblical view on these important topics. For question 15 (was Jesus in the tomb three days and three nights), I propose that if you first understand the spring feast calendar from Exodus and Leviticus, you can begin to tie certain dates of the passion week such as 10th of Abib being the lamb selection day (triumphal entry) and the 14th is Passover (beginning at twilight when the daylight of the 13th day of Abib becomes the start of the 14th (Jesus celebrates with the disciples in the upper room). From the gospels, the solution comes by pulling every time indicator given by the four accounts beginning with John 12:1 ("then six days before the Passover," which must be Abib 9 if we count that day: (Sat, Abib 9; Sun Abib 10; Mon. Abib 11; Tue. Abib 12; Wed, Abib 13, Thu, Abib 14). "The next day," (John 12:12) must be Sunday, Abib 10 with all four gospels giving us the Triumphal Entry and Palm Sunday event (Mat. 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-40). This allows us to make note of each recording of time passing in one of the gospels from this milestone event. Mark gives us this first indicator, "Now the next day," in 11:12-14. This must then be Mon, the 11th when Jesus curses the fig tree and cleanses the temple which Matthew and Luke also record. Mark and Matthew then record that Jesus returned to Bethany at night which would start the new Jewish day at sunset, meaning this would now be Tuesday the 12. Matthew and Mark then record, "In the morning," (Matt. 21:18, Mark 11:20) which is now still the 12th and the most eventful day of Jesus' life and many confrontations with the leaders. He then went out to the Mt of Olives. We are given a new time marker that it was now two days until the Passover (Matt. 26:1, Mark 14:1 further confirming this was Abib 12). Jesus again returns to Bethany at night, now transitioning to Wednesday, Abib 13 (Matt. 26:6, Mark 14:3) and He was anointed for burial. This is also when Judas agrees to betray Him. The daytime hours of Wednesday, Abib 13 were mostly used to prepare for the Passover in the upper room (Matt. 26:17, Mark 14:12, Luke 22:7). Scripture refers to this as the first of three "preparation days" given in the gospel accounts. As soon as it was twilight, it was time for them to eat the Passover meal per Ex. 12 which was now Thursday, Abib 14 (Matt. 26:20, Mark 14:22, Luke 22:14, John 13:1). They went out to Mt. of Olive and came to Gethsemane. He was also arrested by temple authorities. Then, "When morning had come," (Matt. 27:1, Mark 15:1). This is still Thursday, Abib 14 when Jesus was crucified. This would also be day one in the grave because Jesus needed to be off the cross before sunset and was already dead. This was preparation day #2 for the feast of Unleavened Bread to begin on Abib 15 which is a High Day of Sabbath rest even if it is not a Saturday. Joseph buries Jesus in the tomb in the evening on Friday, Abib 15 (Matt. 27:57, Mark 15:42, Luke 23:50, John 19:38). This was also a preparation day (#3) for the weekly Saturday Sabbath which was on Abib 16 (John 19:38 and the Sabbath drew near in Luke 23:50). "On the next day," Israel's leaders made a request of Pilate to guard the tomb. The next day would be Friday, Abib 15. No events recorded on Saturday, Abib 16. It was a Sabbath day and Jesus was in the middle of his three days in the tomb, so not much to record. Finally, Matthew records "After the Sabbaths (plural) had passed," 28:1 indicating that two of the preceding days were Sabbaths, one a High Day and one a weekly Sabbath. This is resurrection Sunday, Abib 17th and it was also the celebration of the Feast of Firstfruits!
There seems to be a contradiction in the middle of your answer, you first stated he was crucified and buried on Thursday , and then on Friday. If he was crucified on Thursday, well that makes it three days and everything clearer, thanks.
@@claudiaperfetti7694 Sorry for any confusion in my original post. From Scripture we understand that at death, there is a separation of the soul/spirit from the physical body (Gen. 35:18). Furthermore, from the gospel accounts, we know that Jesus gave up HIs Spirit in the ninth hour, which is ~3:00PM. So, the dead body of the Lord Jesus was on the cross from 3:00PM until approximately 6:00PM when Joseph came and took the body to be placed in the tomb. Thus, I believe we count those three hours as the fulfillment of the first "day" of the three days and three nights. From the recorded time of death, Jesus' soul would have been in the place called "the grave," "Sheol," "the Abode of the Dead," "the belly of the earth," or the "bottomless pit." This is not the same as the dead body being laid in the tomb, which happened near the going down of the sun, which would start the new Jewish at a sunset, which in this case would be Friday, Abib 15. This is what I was trying to communicate in the original post. Hope that helps. Lord bless.
You have to Trust in the Lord with all your heart, Yes God will help you, man will let you down everytime. My husband had left, for many reasons at one time, God made a way, and he did come back, most would kick him to the curb, I had to forgive and think what would Jesus do? He would tell him sin no more, so now I just wait that the husband will find Jesus before its to late, I only trust in the Lord.
Pastor Mike! I never seem to be available during the 20 questions live streams, so I’ll ask here just in case you see it. I listen to a lot of Christian Metal music (example Relief by Wolves at the Gate) and I seem to get a lot of judgment because the music “sounds evil” even though the lyrics are full blown worship lyrics. Any insight into this? My position is that it’s a bit of a Pharisee complex. In my opinion, all modern music would sound as radical as metal music to anyone in biblical times.

The organization of the Jewish Bible began with the book of Genesis and ended with the Chronicles, so it began with the blood of Abel and ended with the blood of Zechariah. Someone asked this question a rough quote "where is Firstfruits in the Old Testament, the waiving of the grain of the first harvest". Firstfruits was when Moses makes God's offer to the redeemed Hebrews at Sini. Exodus 19:7 Moshe came, summoned the leaders of the people and presented them with all these words which Adonai had ordered him to say. 8 All the people answered as one, “Everything Adonai has said, we will do.” Moshe reported the words of the people to Adonai. At about 1:08:12, I'm definitely cheering Mike on for speaking up against the shipping out of all this false prophecy and false gifts of prophecy to Africa. I'm from Liberia and our capital city Monrovia (and beyond) has been overtaken by pastors copying off Nigerian "generals" who've themselves copied off the Western imposters. They do this primarily because they see the ridiculous "success" of the ministries of these false prophets and because the congregations love it: your church will be packed to overcrowded if you have this style of ministry whereas the churches faithful to Biblical teaching, preaching, worship, etc. have lots of empty seats. All predicted by Christ.

Hi Mike, Our local church (Anglican Protestant) recently went through a very painful, and some would say needless, divisive debate on Complementarian v Egalitarian. You will remember that a house divided against itself cannot stand, so I saw no good coming from this exercise, which ended up splitting our once loving church family, 70/30 in favour of egalitarianism. The debate got quite passionate to the point many forgot Jesus's commandment in Matthew 7:1. Those holding a complementarian view called themselves "Bible believing Christians" which, as you can imagine, severely miffed the rest. Genesis is quite clear that God created Man and Woman equally. Yet the complementarians in the UK, have redefined the term "equal" to mean "Different but complementary." The dictionary defines "equal" as "same value" and the moment you introduce a hierarchy that a woman can only speak under the authority of a man (1 Corinthians 14:34, 1 Timothy 2:11-12) , you lose equality. Furthermore, this definition is neither found in Scripture nor the dictionary, leading egalitarians to conclude it is made up. Revelation 22:18-19 warns against adding words to Scripture and taking away words from Scripture. Whilst using the same words might be in keeping with the letter of God's law, changing the meaning is most certainly not in keeping with the spirit of God's law. The reason they were so passionate, was not because they (apart from two) were necessarily anti-equality; but because they thought that nailing their colours to the mast on this issue, would help them, in the event same sex marriage is endorsed. I pointed out that Scripture says we should not worry about tomorrow, which judging by the headless chickens running about, they had forgotten. But worse, is that their true intentions were kept hidden. So the church leaders ended up LYING to God's people, in God's house, whilst God was standing there watching them do it. Such was their passion, that totally disobeyed Scripture from Moses's 9th commandment to Romans 1. Jesus says you will know a tree by its fruit, so you won't get good resulting from evil deeds. As it turned out, the Church of England did NOT grant same sex marriages. But permitted a blessing could be performed, although this is only optional not mandatory. As blessings currently exist for couples married outside church, telling someone that God loves you, should be permissive. I say this as a heterosexual, happily married, male, whose son is buried in the churchyard. As a result of lying three times (one bishop, one rector and one PCC member), around 100 active church members walked out, including me.
Anglicanism is the third largest Christian tradition by number of members, after the Catholic and Orthodox churches. It is also a tradition going through a period of tremendous change. Given that it is my tradition I feel that there is a lot to recommend it, but I am biased.

Re: Paul and debated topic before or after he was saved comment: Thankyou for reading the passage; while I was listening to Paul's speaking of doing things he didn't want to do while not doing things he did want to do, like seeing the passage as if for the first time, I was hearing Paul's words testify of his zeal to do good towards God back when he had been persecuted the followers of Christ and while doing those he honestly had held the belief that that's what the God of his fervant faith had wanted him to do. The consequenting reality check, it would seem to me, continued to play out in his every day walk with God. As if he could relive the zeal and experience the dichotomy between his flesh and God's will the same as when before-He had loved God so much that he had been willing to capture and kill those whom he had been convinced were in opposition to his understanding of the God of the [Old Testament] but then God showed him all that zeal was in fact his flesh. To date, I teach my children the worst bad people are the people who think they are good. Paul wanted to never be a bad-good person again so he struggled daily with those self-aware checks and balances. My opinion. Thankyou.

this brakes my heart how woman can be so blind about all of this the selfishness , my whole life all i wanted was a wife of my own and not having to be worried about being cheated on and for her to truly love me and before people start to jump on me about how the lord loves me and all i need is him,, i want my very own wife too and god, it's too late now i had my heart broken far too many times and my health as gotten so bad
What is your opinion on re-baptism? I was baptized twice- once as a newborn and once as a young child- and I have only recently renewed my commitment to Christ after a long wandering as an adult.
I have seen him answer this before. If you look it up in his bible thinker app it should be there. From memory he said something along the lines of the baptism as a baby doesn't count because it was something done to us, not a choice we make. It is an act of obedience and a demonstration of our faith so if you weren't genuinely saved when you got baptised the first time (if you were only doing it because of your family for instance) he encouraged the person to do it again, for real this time. He did say something about someone who may be re-committing their life to God after wandering but I can't quite remember. He wasn't against it though and even mentioned that it might be a way to evangelise.
On Abel being a prophet: Abel's blood cries out from the ground against Cain, essentially declaring God's judgement. I think that is why Abel is called a prophet. This is referenced in Hebrews as well.
