In a way, Devil Survivor is like the spiritual successor to Majin Tensei. There's even a remix of "Deja Vu" from this game for the special soundtrack of Devil Survivor 2.

What about Plok! Soundtrack?

@@chayudyodchit2872 my opinion is this: there is a lot of great snes music out there, plok's soundtrack definitely being one of them (and composed by underappreciated master tim follin, who is arguably more technically skilled than the overwhelming majority of composers of the time), but in the case of plok, the ost is a collection of very well composed, catchy music that is great to listen to. This game's soundtrack (and a few others of the time, such as final fantasy 6) is not only well composed and great to listen to, but also reflects and works together with the game's story, tone and overall narrative elements to bring the experience to the next level, which (again, to my own personal experience) can be enough to topple music that is more technically impressive on its own. But yeah, plok's soundtrack is very good too, and I can definitely see it being someone's favorite on the snes. This is just an explanation of why i came to the conclusion i did when i posted that comment

Last Bible III is up at the top tiers for me

@@august...4847 I'm actually trying to work my way through the entirety of the MegaTen franchise in chronological release order. I've hit a roadblock now because I am currently on the original saturn Devil Summoner, which was never translated to english. Last Bible 3 was released after Devil Summoner, so I haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen, it looks sick! Excited to get to it when I can.

Must’ve had a unique sound chip installed like Megami Tensei 2 or they likely had higher quality instrument samples on hand.
