Question of the Day: What is the best class you have ever taken? My answer: I love learning and have taken so many interesting and fun classes in my life. Some of the best classes I've taken have been acting classes. When I was in high school I usually spent my summer vacation taking acting classes and performing in productions. I have many fond memories of those summer acting courses. How about you?
Hello Miss Jen.. Thank you that's very kind of You having this new lesson I really learnt a lot and that makes happy. P.S. I can't wait anymore to express that You are such a beautiful lady 💟 cheers.
Dear Jen, once again I have enjoyed another useful lesson from you. And once again, I'm gonna ''take the liberty'' to tell you: You are awesome! Stay the Way You Are!
Jen, for me, focusing in your lessons, it'll be quite difficult the answer, because, I sincerely can say, that everyone of your lessons, every time I watch them, I say to myself: " this is an awesome lesson, this is the best"! Your collocations are interesting. The ones I like the most: Take a nap, I do😉. Take a break, I do👍. Take a hike, I used to do before the confinement, so now I have to take my time😥. Anyway, thanks to you, we viewers, can take advantage of your teaching. My appreciations, Jen, you are the best👏.
Hi Santiago. 🙂 Thanks for your encouraging comment. Your kind words and hearing how my lessons have helped you always inspires me to keep working hard at creating new English lessons. 😊 I love all of the take collocations you used perfectly in your response. Take a nap, take a break, take a hike, take your time, and take advantage! Have a great weekend. Take care 💐

you are the best of the best!!! I have learnt many collocations with you!!! thanks a bundle!!! I have searched study and learning vocabulary but I can"t find it. do you have these collocations?
JeN! Thanks a lot for teaching Collocations. I enjoy learning collocations for preparing IELTS. I would like to improve my English through learning and using collocations. You are a great teacher for me. I could learn and improve my English through your lessons. I really got my passion in learning English by your lessons. Please kindly correct any grammatical mistakes if you find in my writing sentences. Have a blessed weekend!
Thanks for your kind comment. I am so happy that you enjoyed this collocation lesson. Understanding and using collocations is so important for developing English fluency, so I am very glad that you were able to learn from this English lesson. ☺️ Speaking of collocations, when we use the verb 'prepare' it is usually followed with 'for'. "Prepare for" is an example of a Prepositional Verb which is a type of collocation. So you should say, "I enjoy learning collocations for preparing for IELTS." Or to sound more natural and avoid using 'for' twice in such a short sentence, "I enjoy learning collocations to prepare for IELTS." I recommend watching this lesson about other prepositional verbs using the preposition FOR: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MEOdFUdv_AQ.html The only other small mistake is, "Please kindly correct any grammatical mistakes if you find them in my writing." Keep up the excellent work, but don't forget to take a break 😉 Have a great weekend!
Like I said since I settled here in Canada I was improving my English skills i remember one day I was practising with my wife which is Canadian English teacher when i stucked in the middle of the conversation all what I was going to say is "did you take your medicine"?
Hello Ahmed 😎 It's great to hear that your wife is an English teacher because then you can practice English easily! 👍🏻 My husband had a similar issue to you, actually. We were speaking English and he he suddenly stopped...and then said, "Did you medicine drink?" 😅
@@ahmedkaysesuleiman Since you're living in Canada now I think improving your English will become easier since you are immersed in English daily. 🤗 Before I went to Japan I tried to study Japanese, but wasn't able to make much progress. However, once I was actually living in Japan and was surrounded by Japanese every day, I was able to pick up the language much faster. 🌸 I hope that the same will be true for you also. 💐 Best wishes ✨
Hello Jen thanks for sharing your experience with me and I think not only English but also any other language improvement depends on when you are learning for the first time is daily practice by the way you and my wife have similarities too she has been teaching English for four years Princess Noura university in Riyadh Saudi Arabia an after when we met in Africa for the first time in 2016 we planned to settle in Saudi but later on planned to move Canada
@@ahmedkaysesuleiman It seems like your wife and you are also an international couple who like travelling just like my husband and I. 🤗 How did you guys meet in Africa and where in Africa? Sorry, I'm curious now 😉. With the current pandemic situation, I hope you guys are doing well and that your wife is able to continue teaching (it's been tough for a lot of English teachers because many schools remain closed and there's also not as many international students here in Toronto as there were before.) ✨
Thanks for your comment, Musa. ☺️ I'm glad you enjoyed this lesson. (By the way, your sentence has a small error, "When I have a children, I must take care of them." You can't use will in your time clause. For more information, the lesson I made about future time clauses should help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--BlcUfHALjU.html 👍🏻
Thank you for your comment, Rao. We usually say, "You HAVE my heart." You could also say, "You STOLE my heart." A romantic collocation with take is, "You take my breath away." (I hope you will find a great unmarried woman to say those expressions to.)
Great answer with two collocations from the lesson! ☺️👍🏻 (I don't take naps anymore, but similar to you, when I was a university student I would often take naps between classes. Luckily I lived in a dorm on campus so I could easily go to my room and a take a nap. 😴)
Hello there! How’s it going with you, Jen? Here’s a tormenting question I’d like to ask you. Is the word ‘dice’ singular or plural? My dictionary indicates that ‘die’ is the singular form. I do, however, hear people frequently use the former. Which is correct?
Hi 🙂 Thanks for your question. Singular: If you have only one, it is a DIE. Plural: If you have more than one, they are DICE. I mentioned this and other board game vocabulary in this lesson here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D0yTHb4altA.html 🎲
Haha, that's a good answer. I barely even remember kindergarten, with the exception of hatching baby chicks from eggs and using a computer for the first time... oh and peeing my pants on the first day because I was nervous, lol! 😅
Hello ስፖርት tube 🤗. Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely work on another collocation lesson soon 👍🏻. In the meantime, here is a playlist with about 20 collocation lessons I've made so far: ru-vid.com/group/PLktdXyVCSbc8AvLyPTxOws7Cm8F1DAIjy ✨
Hello Muna. I'm doing great thanks. How is your day going? (PS. Try answering question of the day to improve your writing. What is the best class that you've ever taken?)
History class! That's great! Allow me to correct a small mistake: "l was so entertained in that class." or to sound more natural, "That class was so entertaining." When using adjectives that have both -ed and -ing endings you need to remember that -ed describes your emotions / feelings, and -ing describes the thing causing your feelings. I made a lesson about the differences which you may find helpful: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rxrRMrx7giQ.html
Yeah hello boss that's how you are no and it's beautiful in its own way and you don't understand me I say I'm at work Mia and I cut God the same one there, they say it's is
Hi Hareg ✨. Thanks for watching this Take Collocation lesson☺️. I am not sure what your question means though, sorry 😅. If I Google what you wrote, "lemu manaw", it seems to be a person's name, but I have no idea who she is... 🤷♀️
Take a load off someone's mind is also an excellent English expression with 'take'. It means to relieve someone of their anxiety and to help them stop worrying. If you were worried about using 'take' correctly, I hope this lesson took a load off your mind. 😉
