@@rachelandnick President doesn't live in Toompea castle, she lives in Kadriorg castle, just a little note for you. Toompea is just parlament building where the meeting etc takes place :)

Tere! We made this complete guide of Tallinn for fellow travellers wanting to visit Tallinn. This video really made us remember our wonderful time in Tallinn and we are so grateful for all the support you gave us. Let us know in the comments down below if you have a favourite spot in Tallinn that travellers should go to to check out! :-) - Rach & Nic
I'm in Tallinn now and your videos have been so helpful. You're both so positive about everything you see - just a pleasure to watch, and the videos are well made too! Thank you.
I live in Tallinn for 7years now and i thank you both for that intetesting guide because I didnt knoe about all of that 😂👍 Thanks Nick&Rachel!❤ Come back to Tallinn as soon as possible 👀😀
Hi Rachel and Nick. Another great video this time about Tallinn. I really enjoyed your guided tour, I was jealous of the good things I saw you est. Thanks for your work.
I didn't really expect to stumble upon such a well-made and high quality video from a small channel like yours, like woah, I'm pleasantly surprised! Great content guys ;D
@@Iia17 That's a valid comment. Even though traditionally the president's residence is in Kadriorg right next to Kadriorg Palace, (very close to the Estonian art museum KUMU) the current president Kersti Kaljulaid has decided to live in her actual home in the district of Nõmme.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Vana Tallin is like 1000y. old and the new one is 50-300y. Skycrapers are 10y or more. Helsinki is 400y. old and the city of Vantaa is maybe 40 years old (if even that) of course the history can go back even 10 000 years if you look for bones and all that stuff but the City where Helsinki airport is (vantaa) is only 40 years old . It used to be the "countryside of Helsinki" why I mention this. Because lots and lot of tourist go to Tallin from Helsinki international airport and then ferry via the Gulf of Finland so this is good to keep in mind. I think food is better in Tallin than Helsinki and it even comes faster and cheaper etc.. but Helsinki have like the best food in the world when it comes to supermarkets. I mean the food is so fresh and cheap there. The price is same like in india and the quality is better than in america. What I've heard that in London one banana cost 1 pound and it's gonna be even more expensive after brexit =O and Tobacco cost 10or more pounds but it's so cheap in Estonia. but if you buy tobacco outside you need to pay the taxes that are different in different countries, still it's not that same tax what you pay if you go to random kiosk in your home country, many people get confused with this and think it's the same tax. If you go to Estonia with airplane you really should take cargo luggage in case you buy souveniers because there is so much hand made products in Tallin. but don't smuggle that tobacco or alcohol without tax ;) people do that with ferry travel but they take risks.
to be honest I struggle to come up with 3 things to do in Tallinn. quick tip - reading Estonian, pronounce every single letter the way it's written. unlike English there are no changes. keep it simple. )
In the New year most of people comes to Linnahall, to celebrate the New year there, it seems abonded but in the New year there is so many peole who shoot fireworks and its so beautiful
I decided to throw an arch on the map of Europe until it hits the country I know nothing about and then make a short film for school about it. I'm not mad.
If you come to Tallinn again, I recommend visiting the area of the old mental hospital Seewald, which is really exciting! The history of the place and a longer introduction in the video description :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fYe1as97NnA.html
Okay, I see you do that sometimes. But it quite rare compared to what you say about what you're experiencing at the moment. You say things like "Yummy" with no emotions on your face for some reason.
In my opinion it’s time to let Estonia be a nice small Nordic country. Estonia very deserves to be a Nordic country, because Estonia has done a lot of work, we have many smart people, we are good at digital things, we have northern lights and we are very similar to Finland and other Nordic countries like: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Greenland. We are not similar to Latvia and Lithuania and the other Eastern Europe countries. It’s time to stop calling Estonia Eastern Europe country and Baltic country and forget all this terrible, rude and mean Soviet times. Let’s just stop this Eastern Europe and Soviet stigma thing and let Estonia turn the new page and let them be a normal small Nordic country next to Sweden and Finland!!! Estonians call themselves the Nordic country and many other people and tourists had also said that Estonia should be a Nordic country, because Estonian people are Finnic people not Balts and we are more similar to Scandinavia. Yes many people had agreed with that Estonia must belong to the Nordic group and seperate from Latvia and Lithuania. They don’t even need these countries, because Estonians communicate more with Finns and other Scandinavian countries. Estonia will be a very good partner for the other Nordic countries. We will do a very great work and we will be very strong!!! ☺️🙏
Wow I did not expect to see Sõõrikukohvik on the list! That alone deserves a like! Who ever tipped you off to this place knows their stuff. Best doughnuts in the world!
As a Estonian you might expect us to know about our capital city but no . I only have been there like 2 or 1 time . It was for school trip. I did enjoy it. This video has helped me to know my capital city more 😂
If you are going to visit Estonia again , I would recomend you Kiek in de Kök. It is a museum about the tunnels that go under the old town where people used to hide turning the war...and also you can go into the tunnels
If somebody ever asks me how is Estonia like, I would honestly refer them to this video. I'm so fascinated with your editing style. Did you guys learn editing as your primary jobs or did it come with youtube/travelling?
This is very helpful for me. I am taking a Baltic Cruise in September and Tallinn will be one of my ports. Hopefully, it will be a bit warmer than when you made your video.
if you visit tartu then i think you should know that it is more of an advanced city and doesnt really have so many medieval vibes like tallinn's old town, but it still is a place you can have lots of fun at. also take a look at raekoda and toomemägi
I am from Tallinn and that donuts´ cafe is one of my favourite places to have lunch. The church you showed mentioned as the oldest church in Tallinn, is St Nicholas (Niguliste). St Mary´s Cathedral is situated on Toompea Hill.
My Top 20 things to do or go in Tallinn, Estonia is Old Town, TV Tower, Balti Jaama Market, Tallinn Zoo, Kalamaja, Botany Garnden, Hipodroom, Adventure Park, Seamuseum, Battery Prison, Linnahall, Pirita Beach, Singing Festival Area, rent a bout in Prita River, Ülemiste City, Ülemiste or T1 Shopping Center, Kik en di Kök, Fat Maragita, Torture Chamber, History Museum, Kumu Art Museum, Kadrioru Park and lot more
Definitely dress warmer next time, as you could see in your footage, most locals wear hats, gloves, scarfs and warm coats. Definitely don't want you guys to get sick. But great video 😊❤️

I wish I could quit my job and go travel around the world. I guess I have to wait for my retirement which is another 4 years (counting down anxiously). BTW do you know any good website or media to search for a good travel companion with? A little adventurous type.
