Absolutely cannot wait for Season 2. Season 1 was electrifying! Great writing, great acting, great episodes. I hope they release these on 4K Blu-ray in the future. Edit: And what do you know? Just a day after saying that, Disney did announce the 4K Blu-rays for Andor, OBWK, Moon Knight and TFATWS.
Things you missed in =/= Things you didn't know about... ijs The title absolutely implies the video's going to be full of easter eggs, not behind the scenes info.
It’s not an inability to move forward, it’s an inability to move forward well and respectfully for what came before. And also to make something that flows smoothly with the past and not feel disjointed
While it was cool to hear what the actors came up with, I laughed a little bit when you said "the actors created back stories to enhance their performance," like that was a rare thing to do. Creating your own backstory is just basic actor work. Even if 99% of the time its not specifically addressed in the film or TV show.
Andor is a masterpiece and has fully rekindled my love for Star Wars. I sincerely hope that Disney re-releases the 1995 cuts for the original trilogy, maybe in 2027 to coincide with the 50th anniversary. As far as I am concerned, there are two cannons now. The official cannon which includes a whole lot of junk and nonsense and contradictory storytelling, and what I would call the "orthodox" cannon, which is only the pre-1997 release versions of Star Wars, Empire, ROTJ, Rogue One, and now the beautifully crafted labour of love that is Andor. (no Greedo shooting first, no mystique-destroying Han my boy Jabba scene, no celebrations around the Galaxy while Ewoks dance to an impossible-to-dance-to-song, just the originals as they were intended when their creation was a group effort and not the property of one egomaniacal legacy-focused spoiled brat)
How could we know any of these unless we were media insiders? It's not like we would have figured these out by watching the show. This list does not match the title of the video.
PLEASE DON'T GO THE "MOJO"-way!!!! This list should be called "2 Things You Somehow Missed In Andor". Number 16 and number 6 are the only two on this list someone could actually "miss in Andor" - as in, by actually watching the show. The other 18 numbers (20, 19, 18, 17, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1) are behind the scenes things. It is literally impossible to "miss" those "in Andor", regardless of how intense one watches. So again: PLEASE DON'T GO THE "MOJO"-way!!!! The "MOJO"-channels (Watch, Miss etc) used to be good to great a couple years back. But they declined slowly. Their list became more and more sensational, extremely subjective, extremely judgemental and/or more and more misleading (title vs content). So far, the VAST majority of "Culture"-channel lists (What, Trek, Who etc) are good to great. Usually providing the content that the title promises. And for the very most part either being objective or at the very least openly stating the subjectiveness [more than once]. This isn't the first list to down the "MOJO"-way, but it's the worst example so far. Aside from the vast difference of actual things one could've actually missed "in Andor", the title itself is also sub-optimal. It suggests that EVERYONE missed EVERYTHING on the list. Even if you include the behind the scenes facts, most people/fans of the show probably know at least a couple these 20 things. So naming it "20 Things You Probably Don't Know About Andor" would've been WAY better.
This is the only STAR WARS Show I've bothered to see over the last few years The THINGS That they push out whit regards to STAR WARS is pitifully This is the only show that has really grabbed me and pulled me in So I'm literally giddy for a second season Give me more of the same and i will be happy ❤❤ Just saying 🇳🇴
Why do you talk about the shows but never review the episodes in an ups and downs video? Is it because Gareth Morgan can not write pieces in a few hours?
F The Empire would have been a justified F Bomb instead of some gratuitous b.s. just to appear edgy or whatever......meh, fight the empire worked too I guess.
I'm sorry but that's a laughably lame lead statement. Star Wars has NOT struggled in any year. 2015 had the biggest movie in American history. 2016 had another billion dollar movie that is responsible for this video. 2017 had a movie bigger than the 2016 movie. 2018 could arguably be considered a down year which is followed up by another billion dollar movie and one of the most popular television series in TV history debuting in 2019. 2020 continued that series AND relaunching the ridiculously popular Clone Wars series. 2021 had a series that had the most watched finale on the platform, which was eclipsed by the series that came out after in 2022 that had the most watched premiere as well. Andor also came out which got the most award nominations. Last year Mandalorian continued to be the most watched original series and Ahsoka was in the top ten. So please stop with the delusion that they've struggled because you didn't get your way.
I think he is as well - he drives a spaceship with 2 massive light sabres coming out of it. And he's ultra-cool under pressure. And yet, his mysterious assistant Kleya wears the trousers in their relationship - fascinating
So WhatCulture starts by having a shot of The Last Jedi and saying Star Wars has been struggling... Go back to the time of Euan and the article writers pumped out video after video of how The Last Jedi was, whilst divisive, needed and actually Really Really Good. And they stuck to that all the way through to RoS. Then when fan backlash really soured on the last two movies, they changed their tune. I mean Last Jedi has always been garbage but I respected WC for being consistent. Now they just feel like schills. I remember when one of their presenters called Liam Neeson a horrible person and they left that comment in to make an agenda comment but now celebrate him again.
