@@caryouimagine ok, but, as someone who has thought up project ideas and then built some of them over the years, a "project idea" firstly has to be a buildable item, otherwise they arent actually a project but bit of fantasy. you can have ideas all day long but if it isnt a feasable buildable item then it cant actually be a "project". as a bug fan (had a few over the years, had so much fun with them) i do see some cool drawings that would be nice to have but just arent feasable to be built as they are drawn. example, the ones with the front V-8 engines dont show the fact that to fit engines that large in the front you need to move the driver position rearward in the cabin so as to clear mainly the transmission yet in the pics you still see the steering wheel up close to the windshield. some of these might be buildable but with modifications some more serious than others. you want to see something crazy, stuff a big block chevy in a triumph spitfire, did that once. but i guess im just rambling.
@@GMCOGRE almost every single one of these renditions is 100% doable, if the beetle body is mounted on a custom tube chassis or is modified with an integral tub chassis designed and built into the body structure, with certain original panels removed or massaged to accommodate the custom build requirements. Ive seen fox body chassis mustangs with mid engine rear drive, early karman ghias with new VW turbo 1.8T engines reverse mounted in the rear, as well as MANY Audi 4,6,8 cyl engines mid mounted with porsche audi or corvette rear trans-axles in countless cars that were originally FWD or FERD and not a lick of sub-frame at all.. if you can dream it and dare to weld it you take any car chassis and make anything out of it.. it is treu that AI cant yet seem to grasp the concept of physical flow and image continuity as there are parts of these images that are literally connected to nothing.. but a creative designer could put one of these designs into a cad or even just a table with rulers and measures and create any of them.
@@BrianWD75 yeah, you can build anything, but if you built most of these as they're drawn, they would be good for static displays only. go back and look through this again, most you could never steer as the tires and front fenders or the engines on some are an interference fit. so if your going to draw up something at least make it a feasible drivable unit is all im saying. years ago me and a buddy built a mid engine tube baja bug screamer with a 3.8 buick in it on an aftermarket trans to handle the power, was blast from hell.
