0wn watches from both luch(meaning beam) and Vostok(meaning east),quality brands but yet underrated and relative unknown unless you live in former Soviet republics like I do(Kiev,Ukraine) will probably access them in stores if you’re a watch guy.Awesome content as always.Greetings to that Ukrainian sister of mine 😀😅😅
I bought a vostoc just because I saw this vid and I got it in the stainless bracelet. But I'm thinkin a black NATO strap would be rugged and bitchin!!!
@@joshedward420 I think an orange rubber strap would also look pretty damn good. I'm normally not a fan of orange, but as a watch strap, with a black dial, it looks damn good.
Okay, here we go.. When you're talking about fashion watches, the main argument for the buyer is the looks and the Timex looks pretty much the same as the Vincero. I don't think that a regular fashion oriented person will pay 70 bucks more for a bit better markers. Also Timex has legacy and horological history which Vincero lacks. In addition, you will get a quality movement inside the Timex. Not so sure about the Vincero. Having personally owned both of these watches Timex comes out on top. Hands down. And I'm pretty sure ther isn't anything anyone can say to change my mind but hey I'm open to discussion.
I don't see value in MVMT or Vincero. There are cheaper options available where the design is almost exactly the same that you can buy on Aliexpress for a fifth the price. That being said, mad respect for showing love of good watches.
@@SASMADBRUV7 My issue isn't with people who buy them, but it's with people who advertise them are great competitors when I can find the same exact watch without a logo on Alibaba for $50. That being said, I do think the best watch is the one on your wrist. If you like the looks, marketing, and what the company goes for, that's good you should wear it and wear it proudly.
Go to Ali Express and get the same watches they buy and slap their logo on it for 10% for what they pay. This guy lost all respectability with his slobber over Vincero.
I DONT agree with Vincero being better than Timex. I own a few and I bought a Kleio woman’s watch for the lady and the second hand fell off! She did not drop it whatsoever because it was a gift. Now it’s just sitting on the shelf the last 2 years. My chrono does not work if I want to use the “stop watch” if needed. So In my opinion, Timex.
I have an Orient Bambino Open Heart (black dial, silver case and indices), it’s not exactly the standard watch one would recommend for others, but I feel that it’s a more interesting design and it is a little less mainstream than the regular bambinos.
I’m an airman, and fly around the world with a Citizen Navihawk Blue Angel for now more than 20 years. Couple Batterie changes, one inspection, that’s it. Really outstanding quality.
I own both the Citizen 0151 and the Seiko 411. The Citizen is a real diver watch with 200m water resistance. You can wear it with chinos. You can wear it with a suit. The Seiko (Flightmaster) is currently around $230, and is a tremendous value. It looks a lot more expensive than it is. It's a fully functional chronograph which looks great with a suit.
Not really. Its just watch snobs perpetuating this idea of what a watch design should be. Style today is about minimalism and a clean look. All these watches are clunky and busy. But never mind, watch snobs love diving watches even if they don’t dive!
Hey RMRS, what do you think about Truwood watches? I've been thinking about buying one. I really love the wood work, but would love to hear your comment 👍☕
Do you own any Luminox watches? I wear a Luminox 3051 Bkackout polymer case watch on patrol, but am looking for something nicer to wear when I'm off duty. I'm not sure if the Luminox 3051 Blackout is still available, but it cost about $200.
Ok u wanted the hate hahahah. How about using that 175$ and buy a bruno&Soenle or a tissot Quarz watch ? One is Made in germany Glashütte and the otherone swiss Made and makes watches since 1853. I Think that Sounds more charming than a chinese myota Quarz watch. Which gets produced for 5 € in China.
Thank you for recommending Vincero Antonio 👍🏽. Mine has been keeping accurate time, for the past 3 years. The seconds hand hits every marker spot on, unlike my “ Swiss Made Quartz " Mondaine and Tissot PR 100 watches, which don't hit every marker. And yes the Vincero looks more expensive than my Timex Waterbury.
I like you're video and pics but I don't know how I feel about vincero I have not owned one so I can't say much but I've heard they a re really bad because of there cheap movements and they are easily bought for $5
Timex is better for a watch guy because of the history behind the brand. And I have bought much better looking Timex with a indigo light for about 50 bucks :D thats 3 timexes for one vincero
Great video Antonio, but I have to disagree about the Vincero being better than the Timex for a few reasons: The Timex looks much cleaner, with a less cluttered dial. The Vincero has a faux alligator strap, which always makes cheap leather look even worse. The movement of the Vincero is clearly too small for the case, hence the sub-dials are too close together. Furthermore, the hands on the Vincero are also slightly too small for the dial. In conclusion, the Timex is a much more distinct watch that clearly took more effort to design. This, combined with Timex's heritage, and the much lower price, makes it a no-brainer: The Timex is much better value.
I know Vincero these days has begun updating their old watches in their current catalog. Nearly all of them have a full sapphire now, and they are swapping to Ecco leather (I’m presuming it to be full grain based on my research), and are updating the finish on their Chrono S.
"Командирские" was the very first 'serious' watch I've got when I was 16. Gave it out to one Serbian guy as a present a year later. Things return in abundance... 30 years after that at my 46 I've got YEMA Superman Bronze as a present in addition to a luxury trip:)
If you want an automatic the Seiko 5 is a great classic at this price point. Loving the new SRPD series with the updated design and movement that finally includes handwinding. Timex really has some great designs and decent quality for their kind of prices. You can't go wrong with that.
You had me until you proposed Vincero. Just because you like the design does not make a good watch. They use cheap movements and price their watches above established companies like Orient and Seiko. If they did not sponsor you, you really have no excuse. Sturhling..a bit better but not by that much, unless you get it for 50$ or something.
Unfortunately there are lots and lots of reputable youtubers who specialize in reviewing just watches (not all high end either) and almost 100% of them feel that certain brands of fashion watches grossly over charge for the quality of their watches- especially with compared to similar or identical watches available on sites like Aliexpress and commonly referred to as Chinese Specials. Not all are better than fashion watches like Vincero, Daniel Wellington, MVMT but enough are. I suggest checking them out for a different perspective. Not criticizing your opinions just pointing out how your view point is very different than many other reputable reviewers. Consider not just how it looks and feels but also what type of movement it has, what type of glass, mineral crystal, handlex, sapphire etc, solid or hollow end links, push pins or screw links, water resistance, type of caseback - screwdown or pressed, clasp type (pressed is the cheapest), screw down crown?, are the hands hitting the markers, dial illumination, how does it run - over or under and by how many seconds per day, mechanical, hand wind or quartz movement - swiss, japanese or chinese movement? You get the idea and amount of items to consider, look at and compare. You can get the fashion watches with the name on it and be happy but you can get essentially the same watch for a tiny fraction of the cost from China (basically directly from the manufacturer), just with a different name on it. Two brands to look at and compare, price for specifications, in my opinion would be Cadisen and Starking. Other good ones are Parnis, Pagani Design, Guanjin, Corgeut, Nesun, Nakzen and San Martin As with everything the best suggestion is to do your due diligence/ research, get multiple opinions and then make your own judgement. Look up reviews of the fashion watch (indeed any watch) you are looking at and see how reviewers rate them and why. Fyi i agree with you that Jody from 'justonemorewatch' is a great source.
so many watches but no FOSSIL? is it underrated or overrated? or maybe FOSSIL are just not good enough? sorry for the comment i’m just a newbie in watch territory :(
I have been eyeing Vostok to add to my collection. Your pitch on their watches gave me the final nudge needed. I purchased a Komadirskie auto with the 24 hour dial and NATO strap. Not certain if it’s the same one as in the video but close.
I have an orient bambino v2 gen2 and its too smal for big people. I am 6ft tall, i love it but it doesnt siuts me, and that hurts me. I even changed the wrist band in a try but still
WELL COLOR ME SURPRISED! I expected at least once Vincero or MVMT on the list, and I'm glad that there wasn't! You need to start talking about real watches, Antonio. Leave the spruiking to Aaron.
Daaamm... I've been a huge fan of Vostok, my grandpa had one and said it was indestructible. So i got one, and an other, and an other. I am so glad you included them in this great video😍
And I was just watching your video about James bond where you talked about watches especially, great work Mr. Centeno, keep on it! Also, what Chinos are made of? just asking.
Best SHTF watch is any of the Citizen anadigis (Skyhawk, Navihawk, etc). Hands down. Has Eco-Drive and every complication you could possibly need and then some.
No hate, all watches can be fun and worn proudly (except total fakes). I own a few Timex and micro brands. That $20 Casio is amazing. Battery on mine lasted 4 years, wear really light on hot summer months, and its style punches well above its weight. The Citizen Prodiver is my favorite. Hawaii, Key West, Block Island, Outer Banks - it's seen a bit of surf. I enjoy them all.
Thanks for the info! Regarding the pronunciation: Komandirskie is more like Koh-mah-n-deer-ski-eh (hope I "spell" that correctly), Luch is not "look" but Loo-ch (or tsh)
Finally! Maybe gents will stop wearing these overpriced fashion watches all the time! :D By the way, I have a Vostok Komandirskie from 1989. Still runs great!
"I'm not sponspored by Vincero but I have a discount code, wherein Vincero pays me money when someone buys with my code attached. Therefore, I will smother this fashion watch brand with compliments even though I know it has trash quality movement and finishing -- even going through lengths to talk shit about a good, long-standing watch company like Seiko that's well-respected by watch enthusiasts"
I got the Invict Grand Diver Blue and Gold watch...I like it...it’s big so if you like big dive watches it’s easy to get cheap...I got mine on Amazon for $75. You can find it everyday for $100.
vincero, mvmt, daniel wellington and all those ''affordable luxury'''crap companies are good at one thing: marketing, but the watches are just $#@%$# Don't get fooled and always buy a watch from a real watch company. Seiko, TImex, Swatch are real watch companies with history and good reputation and are also affordable.
Watch is simply not a must piece. If you don’t have budget, ignore watch. If you have some budget to buy a watch to look stand out, my suggestion is go for luxury designer’s brand (eg, Louis Vuitton) rather than big names watch maker (Rolex). $4K will give you a damn eye-catching piece for LV while for the same effect you need to spend around $15k for Rolex.
Fashion watches might be OK to look at, but the guts are a dumpster fire. That's why people mock you for constantly pimping them out. I understand getting a paycheck for it, but trying to make a "best watch" list and mentioning them makes you look like a fool. Timex is a real watch. Vencero, MVMT, Daniel Whateverhisnamis are all overpriced crap.
Great video but gotta give you hate for Vincero vs Timex. Watch guys hate fashion watches and comparing company with 75+ years to ad heavy influencer brand is blasphemy. Same goes for MVMNT and DW they are bad.
