20 WORST Muscle Car Engines Ever Put in Production Vehicles! 

Well I’ll tell you this. Being a Ford tech 1987-2014 .. the 5.0’s were bullet proof! And still are .. They were installed in many cars /trucks. I’ve seen 302’s in town cars used for limos with 750,000 miles on original engine .. they might of went through 3 transmissions but were great. Worst ford engine was the 3.8 engine.. I was doing head gaskets every day on them.. They were in the Taurus .. continental..sables .. I must of done ..no joke .. over 400 tear downs and head gaskets on them. 3.8 with the “injection” stamped on the clam shell. But .. I’m a 5.0 for life ..great engines.

The engines that you are talking about should match the videos. They are way off.

Three hundred and five...🙄 These small engines weren't muscle car engines. AMC, for example, had two engines that fit that niche, the 390 and 401. The 304 was the grocery getter V8. My CJ7 has a 304. It's a dog as far as performance even with a mild cam. 4 bbl carb and long tube headers. Maybe one day I'll build the 360 or 401 I have stored.

The AMC 304 was never marketed as a performance engine in stock form. And the 258?? Really? AMC had the 390 and 401 for that. This video is silly.

This video is confusing. It's supposed to be worse muscle car engines but has many v6s and 4s that weren't put in muscle cars.

The engine in 23:34 is a 3800 series 2…..not a 3.1. The 3800 series 2 the 3800 series 2 had a supercharged version, and were damn good engines. In 2004 the engine became the series 3 engine……this engine had a supercharged version as well.

This video will be judged as one of the worse videos to ever grace the innerwebs. Who compiled the video clips that showed 86/87 Buick Grand Nationals and T/Types burning rubber with late 70's and early eighties versions of the turbo 6 Buick engines.

Video doesn’t match anything that is said. So, we are left to guess what the engine really looks like.
